Oh, dear, this was not good. Runa had her back to a tree, having sensed the malicious intent from the being she’d planned to investigate. Hiding was unlikely to work here, as she had no experience in masking her ki... not to mention her cloak spells would only work if she hadn’t already been noticed. So instead she’d call up several spells of protection before revealing herself, one hand up in a gesture of peace...

“I mean you no harm, sir...”

    He knows when there’s someone nearby, it’s a feeling he HATES and he will do anything to make sure he’s alone, even if his methods are…inhuman. Killing others was now second nature to him, any morals he had previously now completely gone.

    The massive android growls- a warning- before he turns around and yellow eyes scan the area. Regardless if they may have run off due to his guttural growl, he was going to make sure this little pest problem was taken care of.

Runa had spent quite some time in Conton as of late, relishing the chance to study in a place full of so many interesting beings and objects... after all, it was a veritable nexus of various time periods! There was nothing quite like it anywhere else! Today, she’d planned to study alone in one of the more peaceful areas she’d found... however, it seemed it wasn’t as unoccupied as usual!

“Hello young miss... it would appear our taste in environments are quite similar!”

An air of calmness comes from the mage, the woman keeping a fairly serene attitude about her.

A light hum could be heard escaping the young woman, punctuated by the sound of pencil against paper. She was sitting with her knees bent and her back against a tree, hunched over slightly with a sketchpad propped up against her legs. Her focus was clearly there, on the etches and lines that were forming.

Willow was far from a good artist (at least in her own opinion), but it was a hobby she enjoyed. It was also a good form of stress relief, and a fair excuse for solitude. She didn’t need anyone else to draw, which meant she didn’t need to be overwhelmed by anyone else’s emotions.

“…alright, alright. I’ll explain, since you know I’m not from this time…” Zeph let out a sigh. Guess he’s in trouble now. “I’m here because there was a malfunction with my time machine, and I ended up being dropped here instead of where my mission was. The wires were all fried, so I had to get replacements, because stealing a time machine or talking to Chronoa was out of the option since I didn’t want to get in trouble, but then, I, well…got distracted by the past.”

“Now I’m in trouble either way.” The Saiyan buried his face in his hands, laughing nervously. “In the simplest of terms, I’m fucked.”

“. . .”

Runa listens intently to the purple-haired man’s tale, sighing at the end- that was all? She gives a small, comforting smile as her voice returns to its normal, gentler tone.

“Zeph, is that truly all? The Supreme Kai of Time is not a cruel goddess, you may get an earful but she’s not going to cast you out. Anyone could be enamored with the history of the universe, but it’s important to remember that it is history- not something you’re meant to take part in.”

“So long as you’ve not altered any major events, it should be trivial for the Kai of Time to clean up your distortions- no harm done. But you must speak to her about it, before anything major does change.”

He almost responded to the update about his insane mom, but the question caught him a bit off guard. He doesn’t know that she could tell he was not of this time. Not like he studied magic or anything…

“W-What’re you talking about? Out of place? What do you mean by that?” Zeph was trying to recover, but he was sweating bullets at the same time. He really needs to get off the path of the Konishi way (‘Don’t get caught!’) and get onto the way of just telling the time god.

“Young man.”

“I am no fool. You know precisely what I am talking about, I ask that you respect my intelligence as I have respected yours, and be truthful with me. Why are you in this time period?”

Now her statements are quite firm, steely determination showing on her face. She was not amused at the attempts to skirt around the point.

He can feel the pain fully disappear, giving off another sigh of relief. Thank god, he can see clearly again.

“Alright, I understand…wouldn’t want to faint from blood loss right in the middle of all this chaos.” Zeph sat up a bit straighter. “…I still have to ask…about Ibuki, has she harmed anyone else?”

“None that I know of, but she was engaged in battle with a patroller as of my last check.”

“However, that issue is only secondary... you are out of place, young man. Might I trouble you for an explanation...? Depending on your answer, we may need to talk with the Supreme Kai of Time...”

She’s spent long enough dabbling with time magics to tell the signs. She had her suspicions, and the feeling from his life force as she healed him confirmed it... he didn’t yet belong here. How he managed to get into the wrong iteration of Conton was an even bigger question, given the peculiar way the city interacted with the rest of the universe and timestream...

Zeph’s shoulders relax as Runa sits beside him, letting out a sigh of relief at the pain disappearing from his backside. The Saiyan looked over his shoulder, noticing the green glow from her hands. He’s…surprised he didn’t realize she was a magic user. She literally has a mage outfit on. Then again, the pain was blurring his vision earlier…

She continues treating the wounds for a few more moments, stopping once they’ve closed back up.

“There. Now, please refrain from straining yourself, lest you cause similar damage. Your body needs time to recover from the loss of blood you’ve experienced.”

“You do realize that child is likely to grow into the next Demon King, do you not? He is a danger to this city.”

“…” She…wasn’t wrong. There’s only so much blood he could lose before he dies from bleeding out. “W-What Ibuki d-does to civilians matters, b-but you’re…not wrong on t-the whole ‘dead within the hour’ t-thing…”

Zeph does as he’s told, taking off his jacket and shirt, revealing the three gashes on his back still bleeding out. Noc and Che hadn’t patched those wounds up yet, considering that they didn’t expect him to run out.

Oh, dear... those wounds looked severe. She’d almost believe it was done by a savage animal if not for the subtle burns that came with ki attacks.

“Try to relax, that will make this go much more smoothly...”

She takes a seat beside him, gently leaning him forward to get a better view of his back. A green glow surrounds her hands as she reaches for his wounds, a soothing sensation slowly beginning to replace the pain from the lacerations as healing magic begins to mend the damage.

“I-I can’t stop…can’t let t-them check my blood…ghh…”

He tried to go on for a moment, but he stopped and hissed for a moment due to overwhelming pain. Ok, yeah, he’s realizing he needs to rest for a moment to let this sudden pain pass before he continues on. Zeph let Runa guide him to the bench, sitting down.

“W-What has Ibuki…what has Ibuki d-done…? Has she k-killed anyone yet…? Or has s-she stopped…?”

“None of that matters right now, young man! If you continue in this manner, you’ll be dead within the hour!”

“I will not allow you to continue any further until I have treated your wounds. Now, remove your shirt, I do not want any fibers in the wound when it closes.”

Her voice is firm but steady, a far cry from her usual gentle attitude. She meant business.

“Sir! Sir, you must stop! You’re injured!”

The mage quickly rushes towards the small warrior, concern etched on her face as she looks over his wounds. He shouldn’t be moving like this...! She quickly attempts to guide him to a bench...

“Please, sit, you mustn’t move with these injuries...”

“Ghhh…” You can see Zeph stagger a bit as he walks out of the home of Dia’s brothers, his injuries having not fully healed. “Can’t let them test m-my blood…need to f-find a sensu capsule…”

“Nghh…”

“A whole different universe? That’s definitely a new one..”

She hadn’t been too.. in the loop about the different universes, of course, so hearing this was definitely a baffling tale. Aliens, she knew about. It was hard to not know about given the fact that her father was a cyborg that was meant to kill one.. but whole other universes?! Flora definitely had trouble wrapping her head around that.

“Yes, I’ve noticed you Earth residents are unaware of the multiple universes, for the most part. Though, I have heard tales of one group...”

She trails off a bit at that, wistful. A group of Saiyans from Earth had made their way into the realm of gods... what she wouldn’t give for a conversation with them! Ah, well...

“So, young miss... ki control of your level is an extraordinarily rare skill here on Earth! What is a young lady like you doing learning such a thing...?”

“We’ve only just started. No need to take it that seriously..”

She dips her staff low, watching it slide across the ground before torrents of dark magic rush out of the earth in a rapid line towards the other. It was slow, but each geyser grew larger and trailed after any movement. However, it would cease after half a dozen of them.

Spouts of dark magic... a simple enough counter. Runa waits until just before the blast reaches her... and with a wave of her staff, she appears behind the torrent of magic, placing herself directly where the previous blast had been.

That... was far too easy. She wasn’t being taken seriously... she raises her staff, a set of 6 glowing chains shooting outwards at the demon in a flash as magical sparks rain down from them. If it connected, it’d release a powerful jolt of magic into the victim.

“This is not a game, demon! Do not mock me!”

“That’s super cool! I haven’t met one before!”

She definitely seems ecstatic about the realization, squealing and bouncing in joy now. Flora simply couldn’t believe they were real! Sure, the Dragon Balls were magic, but she never even saw one up close before. Let alone someone that can use actual magic.

“Indeed I am!”

“I’m a mage from Universe 6′s planet Majic, travelling the cosmos to further my learning. This... Earth is a fascinating world, with very interesting people!”

Particularly the few people she’s seen that make use of ki- they seemed almost unnaturally powerful, beyond almost anything she’d seen from non-magic users. The only comparison she had was Frost’s army, and after that incident that unveiled his true nature... well, that comparison was gone now.
