Frijloes Canyon post 3 years of extreme flash flooding due to the Las Conchas fire of 2011. In the first photo, my 5'9" friend is pointing to a high water mark of about 40 feet in the narrowest part of the canyon. The water normally flows at about 15 cfs and during peak flooding the USGS has estimated 7,000-9,000 cfs.
