Kuari Pass Trek
The Kuari Pass Trek, explored and popularised by Lord Curzon, is an easy-to-moderate trek that begins at Joshimath and culminated at the Kuari Pass in the Garhwal Himalayas. The trek takes you to an altitude of 4264 meters.
The best part about this trek is that whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned trekker, it will be an experience like none other with gorgeous, up-close and personal views of some of India’s most well-known mountain ranges including Nanda Devi (25,673 ft) and Dronagiri (23,182 ft) in whichever season you visit in.
On the way, from the 7000-meter mark, you get to experience a whole lot of peaks - such as Kamet, Trishul, Chaukamba, and the Nanda Devi, among others. They almost appear to be right in front of you the whole way, it’s genuinely a very humbling feeling to witness such old and magnificent peaks.
During the winter months, the snow is an added bonus with it covering the Oak trees and carpeting the forest land, transforming it into a winter wonderland. Although it’s absolutely wonderful all the while it’s available from March to December - each season giving you different views from snow carpeted terrain to lush green forests with golden trees.
