Shadamy Week 2025 begins!

And here's the other half of what I've spent the past five or six months on aside from my longer-form fics! (halp)

It's just a series of shorts in response to the Shadamy Week prompts, and they aren't in chronological order - they'll jump around points in time - but I've had a lot of fun putting these together, and there's a twist in the works for Day 7 that I'm super happy about.

AAUGH Shadow's what happens when the answer to a prayer is "No", his creation was an act of desperation

Maria lifted one arm, trembling, weak, as if the very air weighed her down. Her skin looked like it would bruise at a glance, like if he touched her, he might hurt her without meaning to. Her hand reached toward him, fingers outstretched. Something twisted inside Shadow. Not quite pain. Not quite rage. Resentment of knowing her sickness was why he existed. That he was crafted to save her.

And until now, no one had ever looked at him like he was anything more than that. No one had offered him warmth.

His voice, when it came, was hoarse. Unused.

“I was made… for you.”

Swing dance!

I wanted to practice some dance poses and immediately thought of the swing class from chapter 44 of Penumbra (a fantasic Shadamy fic on AO3 by @aegislinnear-blog).
