where: feast / ball
when: night-time
for: OPEN starter
“Aeryn, Monterys, you must go with your septa.” It was far past the boy’s bedtime, and although they swore they were not tired, and Monterys even tried to say he was still hungry, Aelora wanted them in their guestrooms no matter what. She spent a few more minutes dismissing their excuses in the kindest way she could before they settled down and agreed. Aelora moved Aeryn off of her lap and gave both of the boys a kiss on the cheek goodnight, eager for them to be away from the chaos so that she could relax. All night, it seemed like Aelora could not keep her eyes off of her nephew and second-cousin. They were her kin, she was their only guardian for the time being-- she could not bare the thought of something happening to them, especially in such an unstable political environment such as King’s Landing.
As Aelora summoned a servant over to fill her goblet, she felt a light tug at her elbow. She looked down at her nephew with an eyebrow raised, wondering why he had ran back to her after the septa had walked off with them. “Mummy,” although she kept a kind smile on her face, her stomach churned every time he called her that. The four year old did not know any other mother figure, and Aelora had cared for him since he had been born. However, she couldn’t find the proper way to correct him, and always found herself coming back to the he’s too young for such a talk, excuse. “Tomorrow, I want to see the dragon bit!” Aelora chuckled and placed her hand on his cheek. “Dragon pit, sweetling.” Aelora smoothed his pale blonde hair back, ignoring the servant as she refilled her wine. “I will take you and Monterys tomorrow, I promise.” Aelora’s mismatched eyes looked towards one of the exits to where the septa stood, waiting for Aeryn with Monterys. “Now, go to your septa and I will see you in the morning.” Aelora gave him a pat on his back before he began running in the septa’s direction, accidentally brushing the leg of someone walking nearby.
Aelora’s smile faltered, and she grimaced a bit, hoping that the person who Aeryn had ran into and paid no mind to wasn’t too upset. She rose up from where she was sitting and walked up to the person. “My apologies. He is quite eager to hear his septa’s bedtime stories, and has not ever been to an event as grand as this.” Aelora motioned to the beautiful dances and muscians that were filling the room with a joyful ambiance despite the unstable political climate. “Are you enjoying your time tonight?” She asked with a bright smile on her face, hoping to have some fun now that her boys were being tucked away.

where: king’s meeting room when: morning
Aelora’s ships had arrived in the Blackwater Bay and docked before the sun had even risen. Although she did not plan to arrive so early in the day, she was glad to have time to get herself ready to be in the king’s court. She had already met Daenerys, and gods, did she love and admire her. However, she knew her brother, the king, was perhaps the polar opposite of Daenerys.
When Aelora was shown to her quarters, she couldn’t help but be wide-eyed. Her guest chambers were almost as nice as her chambers at Claw Isle, much to her surprise. Her nephew and second-cousin were left still sleeping on the ship, as Aelora did not want to wake them so early. However, it seemed that whoever picked out where Aelora’s chambers would be were very hospitable, so much so that they made sure that her boy’s chambers were right next to hers. Aelora was unsure who had arranged her guest-chambers, though she wondered if it had been Daenerys, for she knew how protective Aelora was over her boys.
After Aelora was dressed in a gown far more beautiful than the one she had traveled to King’s Landing in, she informed a guard that she’d like a word with King Viserys. Meanwhile, she summoned the two male-servants she had brought with her from Claw Isle to gather the oaken chest of gifts she had put together for King Viserys.
No more than an hour later, one of the Kingsguard had come to fetch Aelora, who had adorned herself in a necklace that her mother had made for her- a heavy silver necklace with alternating jewels of emeralds and amethysts, to match her mismatched eyes. Her gown was a light red with white silk around her bust and sleeves, to honor her house colors. The walk to where the king was did not seem too far from her chambers, which made her wonder where Daenerys’ chambers were in relation to hers. Her two man-servants were behind her, holding the oaken chest that had rubies, opals, and pieces of obsidian embedded into it. As they approached a closed door, Aelora found herself wanting to hold her breath, for she did not know what to expect from this encounter with the king.
“The Lady Aelora Celtigar of Claw Isle!” One of the kingsguard asserted after the door was opened. Upon making eye contact with the king, Aelora instantly went into a deep curtsy, then smoothed out her dress as she bent her knee to him. “Your Grace, it is an honor to be received by you. I have brought you gifts from Claw Isle, if it pleases you. ” Aelora stayed in the curtsy, her eyes fixed on the ground as she waited for the king to signal for her to rise.
