I translated it as requested by my IG follower.
I feel embarrassing hahaha, I believe people who are familiar with the book already know this stuff.
The above is just my personal opinion. Please read the book and feeling for yourself !❤️

Happy Birthday, General Leo!

Leo's birthday is July 8th!
In Dissidia Opera Omnia, Gilgamesh and Leo are ride-or-die besties, and Gilgamesh nicknames Leo "Little Leo". So I wanted to make a joke relating to that, then decided I didn't want the other FF6 characters who share names with Pokemon to miss out on the fun, so two images for the price of one!
EDIT: For those who haven't brushed up on their Pokemon since Gen 1 (I only know the later ones because of Pokemon Go): Terra - Terrakion Celes - Celesteela Leo - Litleo and Solgaleo Mog - Cosmog

Romancing Barret Week - Day 4: crossover
I just think there'd be both sympatico (widowers and fathers) and some interesting friction (noble loyalty to a monarch vs bloody rebellion against the state).
[Image Description: Digital artwork of Barret from Final Fantasy VII and Cyan from Final Fantasy VI, shown from the chest up. Cyan's left hand is lifted to cup the back of Barret's head, pulling him in so that their foreheads touch. Both have their eyes closed, expresions solemn. /end ID]

can i join the cult
okay but if you ever see a male creative who had a string of great work and then everything else he did was dogshit, go to the "personal life" part of his wikipedia and look at his relationships. you'll either find a major tragedy he didn't recover from (completely understandable) or, more likely, there was a woman in his life doing uncredited shit editing his stuff or contributing generally and she's not there anymore.
I told a friend about this phenomenon in literature and he called me weeks later like, I remembered what you said about women doing uncredited work when tim burton came up. he made a string of bangers then everything else just was nowhere near as good. the timeline matches perfectly to when he was with this german visual artist (lena gieseke). he's done some good work in collaboration, but if things were dug into I suspect we would find she did a lot more than people realise.
so yeah whenever you look around like wow women didn't work in history, or, women aren't auteurs, or, there just aren't as many great female writers - societal reasons for that aside, half the time they absolutely did.

There is a photographer in our town that works for a local news feed just for our town (which I'm 90% sure is volunteer run) and I see him sometimes at things. He usually covers the town halls, school board meetings, he was taking photos at Juneteenth last year. Basically he's everywhere and I'm also everywhere, so we cross paths often.
But he also does a thing called 'My Final Photo,' which is just random day to day stuff happening in town that he thinks is cool enough to snap a photo of. Like... ongoing construction of the new buildings, when the crocuses come out, a bird landing on a lamppost. Stuff like that. He's a really talented photographer.
The Final Photo for yesterday was kind of awesome but I don't think he knows how much the caption contributed:
Because that is both
a. sick as hell
b. perfect encapsulation of the childhood experience.

Contributor Application Statistics: Week 1
It's only been a little over five days since contributor application forms for our Thunderbolt Fantasy 10th anniversary fanzine opened, but as of now, we've already gotten 39 pitches from 25 applicants! Here's a roundup of statistics from our first week of applications.
Among the 39 pitches we've received so far:
26 are for art
5 are for writing (fics)
8 are for alternate media
Note that since we're allowing applicants to make up to three pitches, some people who pitched multiple ideas may want to push through with all of them, while others might ultimately pick only one to complete.
Thus, these numbers are not indicative of how many pieces our zine will actually have—we just thought of sharing the stats so far just for fun (and for those who are curious!). But assuming that all 25 applicants are accepted, and no one drops out midway, that means you can expect at least 25 pieces as of now!
(For alternate media, by the way, we got some very interesting pitches for less common types of fan works such as fanmixes, cross stitch, and fan essays! 👀)
Regarding which volume of the zine these 39 pitches are for:
34 are for the main zine (gen/no ships, SFW)
2 are for the bonus, digital-only SFW ship-focused volume
3 are for the bonus, digital-only NSFW volume
As for the top five characters mentioned in pitches, they are:
Shang Bu Huan (Sho Fu Kan): 16 mentions
Lin Xue Ya (Rin Setsu A): 14 mentions
Lang Wu Yao (Rou Fu Yo): 6 mentions
Sha Wu Sheng (Setsu Mu Sho) and Xing Hai (Kei Gai): Tied at 4 mentions
Dan Fei (Tan Hi) : 3 mentions
(Please note, however, that mentioning a character doesn't mean that they're the main feature of the pitch. In some cases, they're part of an ensemble piece.)
We're interested to see whether this will change as we (hopefully!) get more applications from the Japanese and Taiwanese sides of the Thunderbolt Fantasy fandom as well. Lie Mo Xian (Retsu Ma Gen) is one of the more popular new (well, technically not new, but still...) characters in those sides of the fandom.
That said, we would love to get more pitches for:
the Xuan Gui Zong (Genkishu): only Mie Tian Hai (Betsu Ten Gai) has been the subject of some pitches so far
the Divine Swarm: we've only gotten pitches for Wan Jun Po (Ban Gun Ha) and Xie Ying Luo (Katsu Ei Raku)
the Demon Court nobles
minor characters such as Prince Yan Xi (An Ki)
(It would be great if our zine somehow managed to feature all of TBF's characters...)
Thank you very much to everyone who signed up to contribute; results will be out late next month! It's just been a few days, but we've already received some very exciting and promising pitches, and we can't wait to see how everything will come together.
In the meantime, for those who are thinking of contributing but haven't applied yet, applications are open until August 11! Here are the links to the forms:

I made a little paper puppet! It’s my first time trying this. He’s a coelacanth named Sherbert. Tumblr isn’t great for vids but there’s more on my Instagram.
