Gates of Avalon
Tumblr media
(Arthurian legends meet Witcher.)
The Gates of Avalon is a wip interactive fiction following Lancelot!MC, the companion of Prince Arthur and his best knight.
The lands are dying under King Uther’s iron rule and it seems war with the north is inevitable. Yet there’s another, more pressing matter. Something has gone terribly wrong at the sacred isle of Avalon. There’re whispers of whole villages gone, of ghouls running freely in their streets. Talks of trolls that have gotten bolder and started to leave mountains, of harpies moving their nests and attacking settlements.
Blinded with greed, the King decides battling a foreign ruler is more important than protecting his own people and lands. A royal decree is issued. Under the punishment of death, no knight is allowed to leave Camelot.
Prince Arthur doesn’t care. He and a group of knights leave for Avalon before dawn.
FEATURES:
play as Lancelot!MC, a legendary knight of the Round table
customize your Lancelot - gender, appearance, personality,…
meet the future knights and other characters as a child and bond with them, grow and train together
take care of Galahad, an orphaned boy in need of saving and define your relationship with him
fall in love with one (or maybe more?) of the ROs or play purely platonic route
journey to Avalon through lands full of magic and dangerous creatures with a group of rag-tag knights
become a living legend, shape the fate of the Pendragon lands and those around you
tame a dragon?

Hey you! Yes, you! Do you like any of the following:
Reading
Fiction Podcasts
Fiction
Webfiction/Webserials
Sci-Fi
Gays
Robots
Gay Robots!
Stories Centered on a Queer/LGBTQIA+ Cast
Robots but like more of them and they're friends
Specifically the Biology of Electric Eels and/or Sharks and/or Playtpuses

If you said "Yes" to any of those, please consider:
Read My Webnovel!
Interface is a queer, sci-fi web novel about a world where people evolved bio-electric organs that let them produce current in their bodies and feel electric fields and waves. They use this to communicate and develop technology in an advanced-tech world where three major companies in a governmental alliance vie for power over one another.
The story updates twice a month, and the story is currently progressing through its first major arc, Pt. 1, called, "The Robot."
The plot revolves around two kids from opposite walks of life in a high-tech world that is all one city divided into sectors. Their lives become entangled when they discover a mysterious robot. Intrigue, tragedy, and hijinks ensue as they delve into the conspiracy.
If you're curious about the world + characters, you can read about the world a little more here, and the characters here.
Its important to me that the series is as accessible as I'm able to make it. If you struggle with reading, be it ADHD or dyslexia etc, there are still a number of ways you can enjoy the series! Interface is available on sites like RoyalRoad, where you can adjust the webpage to make reading easier for you. Also, the series updates with audio-chapters available on spotify which can also be found from the main site's table of contents.

“I’m almost 50, and here is the best thing I have learned so far: every strange thing you’ve ever been into, every failed hobby or forgotten instrument, everything you have ever learned will come back to you, will serve you when you need it. Ok, I've seen this sentiment before, but the amount of Kindle Unlimited ads I've been seeing is forcing me to repeat it-
Kindle Unlimited is offering two free months of unlimited ebooks. As a trial. Which will then become a paid subscription.
Your local library is offering unlimited ebooks all the time. Forever. No contracts, no predatory practices, no tracking of how long you spend on each particular page in the hopes that information about your habits can be sold for a profit.
Use your library. They want so badly to give you all of the things for free.

Esper is a semi-dystopian interactive fiction story that focuses mainly on characters and plot. That includes interactions with npcs, the emotions of your characters and other things. I’ve written linear stories before but this is my first time writing a branching interactive novel, so bear with me as I figure this all out
Tumblr media
In a world much like our own, with the addition of flairs - a fancy term for what we would call superpowers, you are  an esper. Someone with a powerful psychic flair. Your life was fairly mundane, you had two parents, were homeschooled, had hobbies, interests, dreams. Was. And had. Now you’re on the run from a government organisation that wants you dead. And you have been for the past few years. The government thinks you’re too powerful, too unpredictable to be allowed to lead a normal life. You’re being punished for being talented. Evade arrest, avoid suspicion and deceive the agents after you, all while trying not to die.
Tumblr media
• Play as female, male or nonbinary with the ability to customise name, appearance,  skills, personality, and more.
• Make choices that will affect your character, other characters and the story - to a degree.
• Develop your abilities as an Esper, either learning to control them or letting them run free.
• Create havoc and annoy the people around you.
• Get thrown into many a dangerous situation - worst of all, the social ones!
• Romance one of the 4 love interests, all gender customisable
• Or simply grow you friendships with them
• Attempt to aid the very agents after you!
• And much, much more!
Tumblr media
Leith/Lena (M/F) The leader of the group sent after you. Stoic and cold, yet surprisingly good with people. They are ambitious and passionate about their job. Yet they seem to harbour some hatred for who they work for. Sean/Saorise (M/F) The brawn of the group. Kind and amiable, they can be a bit airheaded at times but their heart is almost always in the right place. Their indifference towards their work is odd when coupled with the way they act as though they’re hiding something. Ilijah/Imani (M/F) The techhead of the group. Irritable and aloof, they seem hard to get along with. Although generally disinterested with everything, they quickly become captivated once they’re doing what they love: hacking. They seem to bear an unusual amount of anger yet shut down when questioned.
Veran/Valerie (M/F) The brains of the group. Charming and playful, they rarely take anything seriously. Always ready to make a joke or find the light in a situation, there’s an air of sadness lurking beneath their bright façade.

Alex, author of Forgotten Names
You’re one of the five Northern Gates Council members. Your territory is strange to say the least, with eerie, sentient woods and something beyond your border that no one speaks of. You’ve assumed the position as one of the rulers recently, so you’re still trying to figure it out.
That would be hard enough by itself, but one night you receive word from the Silent Throne that you’re being summoned to the court, because something happened. So you must depart immediately.
An uncanny forest, magic, a lost legacy, royal problems and conflict between regions. Welcome to Eblur Kingdom. And be careful not to forget your name

Adrian, author of The Twilight Order & The Mystic Pawn
You are a Seer: a respected member of the Twilight Order. Seers are bound to a Nightmare, making them the only mortals capable of Void magic and, thus, the only ones capable of neutralizing the Nightmare threat. Seers are honored for their sacrifice, as their power, while necessary, is a death sentence. Most die violent deaths from the corruption or simply go insane in only a few short years.
Not you, though. You are special. You didn’t choose the position, train vigorously for years, or undergo the binding ritual that would forcibly meld a Nightmare to your psyche. Your Nightmare has always been there, seemingly because they want to be.
You were brought to the Order as a child when your abilities became known. After many years of study, tests, and training, you have made a name for yourself as one of the most potent Seers in history.
Now the Order is sending you to investigate Void activity reports out of Alli vi Piugio, capital of the merchant kingdom of Chepria. While there, it has become quickly apparent there is more going on than meets the eye.
Figures that being ’special’ would mean you have to literally save the world.

Hollis, author of The Starless Throne
You play as an inquisitor, a member of the de facto law enforcement in Blasse, the largest city on the continent. You transferred into this division of the guild 2 months ago, and funnily enough, you also joined the guild 2 months ago, when you took an inquisitor out behind a tavern in the dark, murdered him, and took his job and identity. You know, for work.
Truth is, you’re a private contractor of sorts, and the job you’re on now has brought you to this wing of the guild. Everything is going great, until on what’s supposed to be the last day of the job, things take a turn for the worse. An old partner in crime has popped back up out of nowhere, and things are getting complicated (more than they already are that is) fast.

Jess, author of Fields of Asphodel and co-author of Diaspora
Fields of Asphodel is a game in which the player takes on the role of the Greek pantheon’s deity of spring, on the eve of their (decidedly political) marriage to Hades, Lord of the Dead. After the constantly-simmering feud between Zeus and Demeter results in the rather unfortunate circumstance of a marriage neither party really consents to, the PC is whisked away to the Underworld, an unfamiliar realm that is all but the antithesis of fair Olympus.
There, they have the chance to make what they will of the lot they have drawn. The residents of the Underworld are an unusual, and unusually-accepting bunch, and there are friends or possible romantic connections to be made as well as a rather odd supporting cast to get to know, from the ever-bickering Moirae sisters to Hades’s young adopted daughter Makaria to Kerberos, the gigantic, fire-breathing, three-headed dog.
But for all its charms—if indeed the PC should find any—the Underworld is not without its problems, and when a mysterious wasting disease afflicts Lethe, the river goddess of oblivion, the entire balance of life and death may be in jeopardy. It will take the PC, as well as the rest of the cast, to not only cure the affliction, but solve the mystery of what’s causing it, and deal with the ever-spiraling fallout of the dead beginning to remember.
Of course, I shouldn’t be misleading—the game is mostly about the relationships between its characters, and found family.

Tori, co-author of Witches of Ferngrove
The game focuses on you, the eldest of a family of witches from the small, idyllic town of Ferngrove where nothing ever happens. Your family are witches in a town of humans, and as a result you grew up sheltered and unaware of the magical world, besides the little your parents deemed safe enough for you to know. Other than weak charms and potions of luck, you don’t really know anything about the supernatural world. You left Ferngrove when you graduated from high school and never looked back, becoming a successful journalist at the Echo Gazette in a big city like you always dreamed. Depending on your choices, you have Skyped with your family and they might have taken trips out to see you in the city, but you have not stepped foot back in your hometown.
That is, until you get a call that changes your life forever. Your mother is dead. Aleia Craft. The woman you thought invincible. You must travel home for the funeral and contend with a darker conspiracy. As you begin to unravel the mystery of your mother’s death and the secrets she left behind, you begin to realise she is a woman you didn’t know at all. Soon, you see that there are things at play here bigger than you could have ever imagined. Dark forces conspire against you. It will be up to you whether you can withstand the storm brewing on the horizon. Make allies and enemies, fall in love, hone your magic, and discover your legacy. Be careful who you trust, even those closest to you are not what they seem.

Exceedingly normal; that’s how you’d describe yourself. You’re an average twenty-something living in the 21st century, saddled with student loan debt and the ever-present sense that you’re not quite where you want to be in life. After all, it wasn’t exactly your childhood dream to be a tour guide at the widely beloved Chester Theme Park. Every day is a monotonous blur of plastered-on smiles and the endless Californian sun.
But then, the unexplainable starts. People go missing, you start seeing things no one else seems to notice, and you find yourself at the center of a mystery that started decades before you were born.
The park’s history isn’t as wholesome as it presents itself to be, and the Fair Folk don’t play fair. Can you navigate through half-truths and othernatural forces and still stay yourself?
And the greater question: do you even want to?
To the Whistling Winds is an interactive fiction game with elements of mystery, fantasy, and a modern fairytale in everyday life. This game is heavily character driven, with choices that range from your concept of morality to what you’d like to wear for a night out.
Features:
|✧| Main character customization; gender, pronouns, sexuality, appearance, style, hobbies, and personality
|✧| Befriend or romance any of the six members of the Covey and develop lasting relationships - or antagonize those around you.
|✧| Ordinary struggles such as the pain of being ghosted over text, overworking at your just-above-minimum-wage job, and being kidnapped by Faeries.
Content Warnings:
Fantasy horror elements, optional SFW sensuality, minor blood, gore, and violence. Discussions of past experiences with homophobia, sexism, and racism. Think PG-13 movie, and please message me if you have any concerns.

You are the sun. The divine light that shines over all of Kartha, bringing warmth and life to the entire empire.
At least, you are supposed to be.
In reality, you are the cursed heir. Loathed by your people and scorned by your court with the weight of everyone’s expectations on your shoulders and the remains of a shattered empire at your feet.
Tumblr media
The sun has been murdered and the Karthinian Empire is plunged into darkness and chaos. Winter descends upon the Kartha now that Empress Vasha sits upon The Golden Throne and without the sun to keep it away, the darkness grows ever nearer threatening to consume the empire.
A more in-depth summary
Your mother Empress Vasha is known for her stunning beauty. With her grace and charm she seized the heart of the Emperor and after his death she took over his Empire.
Now she rules Kartha with a frozen fist, keeping it in eternal winter with her mystic gifts. But her beauty begins to fade and strangely, so do her powers.
She instructs you to descend into the Darkness where the goddess Resha supposedly resides and steal her tears which grants those who use it eternal youth. The only trouble is, the goddess has never been known to cry.
As you set out on your journey and observe life as you’ve never seen it before, everything you have ever been told slowly falls apart and your loyalties are called into question as you unravel a web of lies that goes deeper than initially perceived.
Tumblr media
This story takes place in the Karthinian star system where the sun and monarch are one and the same. Kartha is an empire spanning several planets each with different lore, economics and social issues the later two which you can improve (or make worse!) as you travel across the empire. The time period in terms of historical similarity would be the industrial revolution with some Victorian elements.
Tumblr media
Restore your house to its former glory or bring an end to the monarchy.
Are you more magically or technologically inclined? Decide which way you want to lead your empire.
Unearth the truth behind the darkness, why it exists, what creatures lie within it and beyond.
Raise an ice dragon, if you can hatch it (no, you don’t sit on it)
Customizable MC with several skills and interests to choose from.
Six ROs you can befriend, or make your enemies.
Elevate yourself as an all powerful deity and earn the ire of the gods.
Tumblr media
Saigar | 23 | Male | Attracted to women |
Saigar was raised to take over his father’s role as Admiral of the Imperial fleet. He has spent his life split between court, his family home on Iloria and the most elite military schools in Kartha. Apart from being a skilled pilot and fighter, Saigar is an enthusiastic patron of the arts and devotes his time not spent on his duties painting, drawing and attending shows put on by the theater. He is generally warm and friendly behind his stoic exterior but wary of forming deep relationships.
Grilla | 26 | Male | Attracted to men |
Always brooding and glued to the shadows, Grilla is the only person your mother seems to trust and your mother is the only person who seems to know anything about the quiet spy.
Kain | 23 | Male | Attracted to both men and women |
At a glance he might appear to be a reckless, debauched pirate with no thought for laws or order and he is to an extent but he’s also an avid reader and budding scholar who speaks six languages. He has a charming smile, easygoing nature and is always seeking a new adventure.
Xantara | 21 | Female | Attracted to men and women |
She was born and raised on Mount Ulda which is home to the strictly female academy of elite assassins called The Onaise Saints who are widely known and feared for their elegant fighting skills and their ability to “charm you onto their swords.” Their reputation as charismatic killers have earned them the nickname Sirens of the blade. Xantara is aloof, saying little but observing all. Her wit is sharper than her bladed fans- her favorite weapon and staple of the saints.
Savago | 22 | Female | Attracted to men |
She is the spoiled jewel of House Syione, a once wealthy and illustrious house which has fallen on harsh times and is barely scraping by sustained only by it’s good name an connections. Under her external facade of a perfect noble lady, Savego possesses sharp wit, deadly cunning, and fierce determination. She will see her house returned to its former glory no matter the cost.
Blanca | 21 | Female | Attracted to women |
She is an orphan from one of Cersna’s floating cities and a skilled mechanic. Her head is usually buried between cogs, engines and sprockets but if you manage to get her attention, a well timed joke or pun will earn you some warmth. She has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh.

ECHOES ꞏ FIRST DEMO RELEASE ➛ Play it here on itch.io!
You are awake.
Where are you?
Will you open your eyes?
Tumblr media
Echoes is an interactive short story with mystery, supernatural and horror elements.
The first demo, consisting of the story’s prologue, is now available to play on itch.io!
The prologue sets up the tone of the story and introduces some of the questions the main character will be faced with throughout the game. With a total count of 3.5k words, it’s very short, but I wanted to release a teaser since the next update will probably only come when I’m either halfway or fully done with the story.
Thank you all for the interest, and I hope you enjoy playing it!

One Dark Day - a fun and free narrative game about a dark overlord having a bad day
Hey guys! I've made a thing that I thought you might enjoy:
This is a text-based narrative game about a villain having a bad day and trying to keep it together, or else facing the threat to retire to a disgustingly idyllic farm. It has lots of humour and funny art, and was created in two and a half days (for the Ludum Dare game jam) by a team of three people using Twine, Miro and lots of coffee.
Tumblr media
It is completely free to play, and we receive no profits from anything connected to it - I just thought that some of you bookish folk may have fun with it!
Play it here: link
The game on the Ludum Dare website: link
Please note: it's a bit more convenient to play on a bigger screen! Works perfectly well for mobile but the toolbar is hidden on the left, remember to tap on it from time to time to check your stats.
That's it - enjoooy! And please leave a quick comment here if you do play, would love to hear feedback :)
