I log into swtor for the first time in like two months. I get hit with a notification that “we’ve added tons of new colours for alien skin tones!” and sure enough, there’s about thirty new shades of blue and purple for Mirialans.
Like great, thanks, was not asking for 60+ alien skin tone options, now could I PLEASE have more than four body type options? And could I have even a single body type option that isn’t just a variant of skinny? Obligatory disclaimer that I have no idea what the male body type options are but I assume they have the same issues.
I would like more diversity than just skinny, skinny but with big boobs, skinny but tall with some muscle, and skinny but with big boobs and bigger thighs that is clearly meant to be the “fat” option even though comes with a flat stomach

Cannot emphasise enough how much I hate the argument that “Chiss Agents don’t make sense because they would stand out too easily/be too distinguishable/not blend in/etc etc”
Like the only distinguishing features of Chiss are blue skin and red eyes. You’re telling me that that’s gonna stand out? In Star Wars? Star Wars? You think the blue-skinned alien would stand out too much in a sci-fi fantasy universe famous for its blue-skinned aliens? Be so for real

The one thing in KOTOR2 I hate
I love KOTOR2 a lot, easily one of my favourite games ever. I've grown to be a big Star Wars nerd.
I hate that KOTOR is "The Jedi Civil War" and I hate that it's called that because Chris Avellone wanted to make a point about Star Wars.
Because the idea that the JCW was only about the Jedi is a load of shit. The idea that to the rest of the galaxy the war was Jedi squabbling and dragging everyone into it is low key insulting to Drew Karpyshyn, a man who I admittedly don't have a lot of affection for at best and a man whose name I curse for the world building in The Old Republic at worse.
Because the implication is that the JCW wasn't about anything. That the only thing that mattered was that Revan, former Jedi, wants to kill the Jedi.
Even without all the retcons/additions from KOTOR2 that say Revan was playing 4D chess and preparing the Galaxy for the *real* threat, there was obviously something more going on with that conflict. How can this war be *just* about the Jedi when one of the primary figureheads of the whole thing is Saul Karath, who is most certainly not a Jedi.
The Republic was taken completely off guard by the Mandalorian Wars, struggling to regain their footing after the Great Sith War that preceded it. They were unable to muster an adequate response in time to protect the galaxy.
The Sith Empire is near entirely veterans of that war, the vast majority of the Republic's military forces turning around and going "We should be in charge." When you talk to members of the Empire, or sympathizers, they often talk about how strong and *secure* the Empire is. They call the Republic weak, ineffective, doomed.
And KOTOR doesn't shy away from the Republic's failings either. Because like it or not they *did* fumble the Mandalorian Wars, and they *do* fail their people constantly, especially on the Outer Rim where the prosperity of the Core Worlds doesn't reach. The fact that a lot of planets on the Sith Empire's side of things are on the Outer Rim is probably not a coincidence.
The Jedi Civil War wasn't about the Jedi, it was about what was more important in the galaxy, being free or being safe. It was a philosophical question posed on a galactic scale, what is better? A flawed but fundamentally good Republic, or a strong and secure but fundamentally evil Empire. Is freedom and comfortable living for all worth being unprepared for another massive war?
But all of that was literally forgotten in service of Kreia going "The only thing that matters in the Jedi" so that Chris Avellone can make the metapoint that the only thing most people care about in Star Wars is the Jedi, as he writes a game all about the Jedi.

I love depicting characters as normal before going through a corruption arc. It really adds to the pain. This is young Alek (Malak) and Reva (Female Revan). Their outfits are sort of “clubbing versions” of their later Sith Costumes.

𝐌𝐀𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐀
Cómic: Tales Of The Jedi: The Sith War.

“To be united by hatred is a fragile alliance at best…”
A WOUND IN THE FORCE is fanzine celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Knights of the Old Republic 2; the Sith Lords. Organised by @ewylana , it’s full of art inspired by the game, including this piece by me!
May the Fourth be with you (and also with you).

A general fashion moodboard for Mydha Dais-Lu (Jedi Knight character). I described her fashion sense in the past as:
She usually wears traditional jedi robes, with parts of or entire suits of armor. She tends to remove layers of the traditional jedi robes (specifically the tabards or the overtunic) in order to remove bulk, especially underneath armour, and allow for more ease of movement. She generally prefers gold and white colors. The only decoration she indulges in is the occasional gold headdress jewelry. She regularly wears coral lipstick, but no other makeup.
I didn’t include much in the earlier description or in the pictures, but when it comes to leg-wear she’s generally not picky and is happy in either tighter or looser trousers, or on rare occasions robes, but will avoid armour on her legs. She likes silhouettes that give her a dramatic body shape - either broad and wide or tall and narrow, but nothing in between. She likes decorative fabrics and embroidery, but nothing that will catch or snag like beading. The one kind of exception to that is epaulettes and corresponding decoration (broaches, pins, chains, etc) for special occasions.

I whipped up a new BRB/Starting screen for my twitch stream, using an expanded set of dance moves from my Holo Carth side project.  This is how it looks without the stream text/logos all over it.
I figure, Revan would need something to help keep her sane on that long trip through the Outer Rim, right? 😈   Hehe, that way, this screen can work for both my KOTOR 1 and 2 playthroughs!
