kaori & mitsuki met when they were teenagers, and were each other’s first love. after breaking up, they remained best friends for fifteen years, and now work together as businesswomen. the series deals with their love for other women, each other, and everything else.

kijima is a library assistant at her all girls’ school. one day when helping out in the library, she sees a mysterious girl laying on top of the shelves. could it be a ghost?

happy ending: sort of? some side characters are explicitly romantic by the end, although the main couple isn’t. it’s implied as the likely outcome though.
