Georgia shrugged, trying to seem as unbothered as she could but she was clearly very much bothered. "Not denying I'm dangerous, I have been trained to kill since I was young. What use would lying do me? My whole job is to tell the truth, no use in lying now."

her response actually makes Rien smile. like a real, honest-to-fuck smile. it's small, just a quirk at one corner of their lips, but it's genuine. there's even a little huff of breath, tiny little laugh on their exhale.

Georgia's eyes looked between the wind view mirror and windscreen, giving a few glances towards Theo as well. She was a little concerned about what potentially what could be coming after them, but she knew both of them were fully capable of handling whatever could be coming their way.

"I think we'll be fine even if there was anyone following us, I've got my gun and a knife; I'll keep you safe, don't you worry."

Theo didn't know why he was feeling so paranoid. He had experienced people looking at him funny before, but he had never dealt with a whole group of people staring him down.

Continuing to drive along the road, Theo tried to stop checking their mirrors constantly. "Yeah... I just didn't want us staying there for longer than we needed to," they replied, looking over at Georgia briefly before looking back at the road. "I don't think anyone is following us, so that's good at least."

Rien had never really been all that self protective, or whatever the fuck the term is. like, before. but they sure as shit aren't now. they're not all that invested in convincing Georgia that they're not a threat. partially because they are.

Georgia was usually awake late; she'd always been a night owl and that wasn't just from the nature of her job. She liked being up late and she figured she did her best writing in the early hours of the morning.

Glued to her screen, she was busy typing away until she noticed Ren walk in; she did feel a little guilty if she did wake the other up, it wouldn't be the first time.

"I'm working on an article, wanna try to get it done for proofreading by the morning," she shrugged, closing the lid of her laptop. "I didn't wake you up, did I?"

night isn't exactly Ren's favourite time. like, no shit, considering the state of the world and all. still, she's got ... a thing, with the dark. she always feels like she can hear the sound of wings fluttering off in the distance, things moving through the dark, watching her. waiting.

she doesn't like sleeping in the dark.

it's why she wanders through the house when everyone else is down for the night. there's a certain sense of relief, knowing that she isn't alone. but it doesn't totally smother the unease that creeps up her spine.

@aftcrtheend almost scares her, when Ren turns into the dimly-lit kitchen to see Georgia sitting there. “ What are you doing up at this hour? ” she asks, and Ren hesitates.

it's quiet outside. eerily so. there's no shuffling footsteps, no far-off moaning or groaning. they seem to be safe, in this area. it doesn't dull the edge of Ren's paranoia, even standing in a room with another person.

❝ i couldn't sleep, ❞ she lies, moving into the room. she sits across the table from the other woman, empty handed. ❝ what about you? ❞

Georgia liked joking around with Noah, it made her feel very much like her previous self. She would've said old self but technically, her old self was dead and a pile of ashes somewhere. God, being cloned is weird.

Continuing to laugh, she playfully hit his arm. "Don't even worry about it, we can just put bags over our heads and close our eyes. It'll be just like old times."

Noah was used to joking around with Georgia. She was one of the only people who could tease him the way she did, and get away with it. Maybe it had a lot to do with how similar the two of them were. They were both stubborn and brutally honest, and it was refreshing for him to not have someone tiptoe around him.

Letting out a laugh, Noah was taken aback by Georgia's comment. He knew she meant it and that's what made it all the more funny. "Fucking in the dark is my speciality though! How are we meant to fuck now?" He joked, knowing that the other would retort with some smart comment.

[ACCIDENT] – Receiver finds Sender lying unconscious, blood pooling, phone still unlocked with an unsent message: “I’m sorry.” [REGRET] – Receiver finds a letter they were never supposed to see. “I hated you because I couldn’t stop loving you.”

Georgia wasn't the best at comforting other people, not that she lacked empathy but she just wasn't exactly sure how to comfort people. That and she didn't really show much affection towards anyone, at least not publicly.

"Of course, I don't want you to be in any harm's way. Plus, Buffy will talk your ear off if you let her," she smiled softly.

Quinni held back her tears as she stood opposite Georgia. She knew it was stupid, but she didn't want the other seeing her cry. Especially when she was so strong and resilient in comparison to her.

Nodding her head slowly, Quinni was glad to hear that Georgia was going to try and find something she could do to help. "Thank you... I would really appreciate that," she replied, looking down at her hands.
