After Rust
5 posts
The final chapter of project rust.a world with no humans no creatures you know are left on this rotting rock.some may feel oddly familiar to you but trust us.they aren’t what you know. It’s been 35 million years

For our stop at the North American continent in 35 million PE we find our first specimen, the North American tressym.cousins of the “South American tressym” these animals are apex predators of their time and hunt almost anything.they are ferocious animals, you can hardly tell they came from domestic cats!but the other animals aren’t as furry and huggable as this one is.
We next leave the ruins to the mountain tops
Here is a sky stalker.evolved from condor vultures they are very violent,so violent infact they are making their own species go extinct with how aggressive they are.even going to lengths to cause big fights between them to get mates which ever male wins the “sky war” will get the female as a mate.the males leave the mate after she lays her eggs,as the mate will leave the eggs daily to gather food for them.after the eggs hatch the female will leave and the chicks will need to learn to live on their own. Don’t worry for we will now move
To underground kingdoms
Tumblr media
These are scruff rats, evolved from modern day naked mole rats who have migrated to North America.they are peaceful animals and have no trouble getting foods as they are hardly affected by the weather above ground.they have almost nothing to fear unless they are dug up by another animal.such as a saber tooth ferret.these animals(if preyed upon in general) are hunted by sky stalkers, though they won’t need to fear them for long.
Next we abandon the americas to travel to
The scorched earth of ancient Africa
Tumblr media
This is the common ground biter,a descendent or rather one of the descendents of the african fire skink.they tend to reproduce a lot due to the fact not much food can be found.they are endangered and are often hunted by bigger stronger animals than them.but they have better luck than the
Popping mice
Tumblr media
Popping mice have a bio luminescent bulb at the end of their tails that they use to attract mates and can begin making popping noises with the bulb by shaking it To scare predators away.however,if they pop it too much it will create a mini explosion, breaking the bulb open exposing a blood stream and nerves.they normally die after their tail explodes similar to a bee when they lose their stinger.however these cute fellows are at the bottom of the food chain, only Time will decide if they survive or not.

Our first stop on our journey is 35 million PE South America. The first thing to note is the hot sandy wastes that South America has become.now being one giant continent wide desert populated by strange and odd animals.our second thing to note is the rotting skeleton in the sand.humans no longer exist and have become a mere blink of an eye before being wiped out by their own stupidity.the first animal is known as the “South American tressym”.this animal has evolved from Mancoon domestic cats into a squirrel like gliding animal.with enough intelligence to make spears and sharpen rocks.unlike their carnivorous ancestors they prefer plants over flesh but they will eat it if necessary.the next thing of note is how oddly peaceful they are.only eating animals left as scraps by predators very different than their cousins the North American tressyms.
We next move from the scorching land to the cool ocean
Tumblr media
We see the “lighting toad” attempting to out run or rather out swim the “bio eel” descendants of the modern day “gecko”.mostly aquatic the bio eels have almost unevolved their hein legs as they have become useless to their survival.
The lightning toad obviously being evolved from toads(specifically golden back toads) the animal has evolved to become fully aquatic. These animals aren’t very smart with bio eels being obligate carnivores and lightning toads being omnivores. Many animals in South America especially semi aquatic and land animals have died out due to the heat or being out competed by larger fiercer predators.many animals on land have changed much from their past ancestors.
Now we abandon the sea to find what remains of the Amazon rainforest
Tumblr media
We see a “desert rat” descendants of the naked mole rat that have migrated over to South America and gotten much smarter(almost primate levels of intelligence) and a “megadile” decedents of the modern American crocodile.these animals normally fight over food as desert rats have become omnivores meanwhile megadiles are obligate carnivores.desert rats however can defend themselves my throwing rocks at the megadiles to stun them.while the megadiles can easily get the advantage and kill and feed on a desert rat if they aren’t on high alert.
Next on our million year long voyage we will visit the North Americas in the icy tundra it has become.

The North American tressym is evolved from arctic Kritters which evolved from domestic cats.carnivorous predators of the icy wastes that once were Canada north and Central America aswell as being very fierce animals.their main food source normally is Ginormo chinchillas and rarely arctic chimps.
The South American tressym is an omnivore evolved from gliding kritters which evolved from domestic cats.the South American tressym is a usually peaceful animal that is somewhat domesticated still unlike their cousins the North American tressym.adapted to the hot deserts of South America they mainly eat berries and small bugs.being more prey than predator in their ecosystem and being hunted by desert apes normally.

Ginormo chinchillas are the descendants of modern day chinchillas.after the extinction of pandas the empty niche left behind by them was filled by the chinchillas .often a mighty feast for any predator or group that can find and kill these gentle giants
They feed off of fruits or berries they can pick out of trees.while the cutest and best suited for the ice age these creatures have a rather sad role in the ecosystem.being farmed by the winter apes and North American tressym. These creatures may not be endangered but within time they may either become a more prominent animal or be hunted to extinction
