FAQ

Q: Am I allowed to sign up as both an author and an artist? A: Absolutely!

Q: Can I finish my WIP for this event? A: Absolutely, as long as it is completely unpublished (i.e. is not already up on AO3).

Q: Can I write a sequel? A: You can write sequels to already-existing fic! However, it must also be possible to read as a standalone. If you are writing a sequel of someone else's fic, you must have their permission.

Q: What kind of art is accepted? A: Everything! Drawings, paintings, fan videos, podfic, edits, everything in between!

Q: Can my friend and I sign up as a pair? A: You absolutely can! Can't wait to see your collaborative efforts.

Q: Are crossovers or fusions allowed? A: Yes, as long as AFTG is the main focus.

@rwnjun wrote the most AMAZING fic, it's absolutely incredible!! Please read it if you haven't, I got teary-eyed the first time I read it. It was based on one of my favorite songs by my favorite band (cars and caution signs by the maine), and i highly recommend you listen to it while you read bc they perfectly captured the emotion and atmosphere of the song. It's just so so GOOD.

He knows Neil wants to know what is going on in his head. But the truth is, Andrew isn’t entirely sure even he knows what is rattling around in his skull. Yesterday had been a huge deal. For the both of them, not just Andrew. Yesterday had been the first time Neil had fucked Andrew. Something about wording it that way feels crass to Andrew. Calling it ‘made love’ makes him want to vomit, but ‘fucking’ doesn’t describe what yesterday was to either of them. It was so much… more. (It was everything and nothing.)

Summary:

Aaron says plainly, “I’m not in denial.” It’s not his own feelings he was ever worried about, he realizes—it’s always been the threat of Kevin’s that scares the shit out of him. Kevin, who has never known how to follow posted speed limits and runs reds because he can, because no one has ever told him he shouldn’t, probably likes him. Probably definitely. He’s afraid that one day he’ll realize he doesn’t.

Maybe that’s the heart of the issue. There’s precedence for this. Aaron has spent a long time being jerked around by people who love him for a period. It hurts, still, that his mother doesn’t know how to want him; that Andrew’s apathy is hard to interpret as caring sometimes; that Katelyn decided it wasn’t working after all. But that’s not very accurate data. Not that it matters. Kevin and him were never supposed to be together—that was their agreement.

Seth breathed a slow breath and thanked whatever higher power saw fit to supply the banquet with wine, hissing a quiet, ‘leave my balls out of this,’ before taking a long, loud sip.

Summary:

The problem was, Andrew didn’t know what he wanted. Wanting something was such a foreign concept to him. His whole childhood, he just wished he would disappear. The only thing he wanted was for his next foster home to not be as bad as his current one, and that never happened. When he finally found his family, all he really wanted was to keep them there with him at all costs. And if he was being really honest with himself, he had dug his claws in so deep that he had almost pushed them away entirely in the process.

He had wanted hookups, but only on his terms, and it was always just a means to an end. He wanted Neil. He wanted him so bad Andrew had thought it was a side effect of the drugs. But after Easthaven, Neil was still there and Andrew still wanted him. Getting to have Neil and his family should be enough, he never thought about wanting anything beyond that. But ever since their conversation on the roof, it was all Andrew could think about and it was driving him crazy.

or, Andrew thinks about Wanting and has a (very Mild) crisis about it.
