Well I never expected to me a dad either. But it’s an honor, and we couldn’t think of anyone else better to share it with
Grant opens the hospital room door, smiling when he sees Coulson.
“Hey!” He steps back and gestures for him to come inside. Evelyn is sitting in the bed, and baby Evie is lying in the baby hospital bed next to her.

Coulson smiles back at him politely, quickly switching his gaze to the small baby and finally her tired mother.
“Hey you two. Or should I say three. How are you?” He asks gently.

”No, just you. She does have an aunt, but not related my blood.”

Grant chuckles. “We had to pick the best one!”

Thank you, Coulson. I, we, really appreciate that. If you’d like, you can stop by the hospital later today and meet the baby
Uhh Coulson what do I do….
Evelyn’s in labor and I feel so useless but also anxious and I-
Frankly I’m a bit nervous. What if I’m a terrible dad? What if something goes wrong?
@agent-grant-ward-shield
Ward, you’re not gonna be a terrible dad. You’re empathetic enough to have thought this all through before agreeing to start trying for a baby, all of these thoughts are baseless I promise you. If anything goes wrong you have tons of people who’ll drop what they’re doing to help out. You know why? Cause you’re a good guy, Ward. Maybe not the one I knew, but you are. You’re gonna be a great dad.
Call me if you want me to show up, okay? I’m here for both of you.

My wife’s having a baby….
Hey my people. Sorry I wasn’t around much today—it's been one hell of a day. What’d I miss? Fill me in, I’m all ears now.

@agent-grant-ward-shield
*absolute shock and surprise*
Oh! That’s… that’s an honour. You… the both of you have been taking? You want that?

Yeah yeah I know. Gotta stay here so I don’t hurt anyone
Evelyn made her way to Grant's room in the med center. As she neared the viewing window, she spotted him setting on the bed, staring at the floor. She wished he didn't have to be here, but it was necessary. His random outbursts needed to be studied.
Evelyn made her way to the window, knocking on it softly and smiling. Grant quickly looked up, a grin appearing on his face when he noticed her.
"Hey," she smiled, placing her hand on the glass.
Grant walked closer, placing his hand across where her hand was on the glass as well.
"How are you doing?" she asked.
"I've been better. I'm ready to leave."
'I know....I'm ready for you to leave too. I talked to Director Fury about it. He said that you had to stay here until everything seemed back to normal."
"I feel normal," Grant replied, looking slightly annoyed.
"You seem normal....but it's not my choice to make. I wish I could at least come and sit in your room with you or something....I hate being far away." Evelyn sadly smiled, looking up at Grant.
"And I hate having you far away, but it is what it is."

Okay. Very well then
Grant had been in the med bay for days. Doctors constantly ran tests on him, drawing blood, and studying his every move. Most days had come and gone without incident. But, two days ago, something happened. Grant had been sitting on the edge of his hospital bed when a familiar headache struck him. Suddenly he was unable to control himself. He lashed out at the doctors, showing one into the wall, and trying to stab another with a scalpel before being shot with a sedative. When he awoke a few hours later, he was back to normal. Something, however, was definitely wrong. To be on the safe side, the doctors allowed no guests to come visit him, including his wife.
