When It Sinks

Losing a friend is harder than a couple breaking up. It is a kind of thing that once you’ve lost it, its simply irreplaceable. You might be able to pick up the same piece along the way but then again it would never be the same. It would have bruises, scratches and its not as genuine as it used to.

For the past 2  months or so, I lost a friend. The best one at that and it made my world fall apart

One moment she’s promising eternal love and the next you’re clinging onto her and begging her to stay. Your bloodshot eyes search hers for any hint of lingering love but you come up empty handed. You’re screaming at yourself inside your head, cursing yourself for not being enough; for never being enough. You’re drowning yourself in vodka and choking on cigarette smoke while she dances around with another like you were merely a speck of dust floating through her ray of sunlight. Your guilt drops down like rain while her joyous laughs sound from a distance, flooding over you in waves, and although you want to be happy for her… You really wish she was miserable too. You wish that she’d lock herself away in her room as well, drinking liquor like water and pouring her emotions out into words on tear-soaked papers that would never be read by anyone but her. You pick up the phone to call her when it’s 2 am and you’re drunk off your ass but she’s asleep in somebody else’s arms and you realise that no matter how badly you wreck yourself, she won’t come back. Ever since his release, Gnar’s been busy wreaking havoc and melting hearts—he’s arguably the most adorable champ on the Rift (don’t tell Teemo)! Facing off against that much cute in lane can be a challenge, especially when Gnar makes it look like a play date. To explore this idea a little more, we teamed up with community artist Rachel J Corey to create a series of web comics appropriately titled Playtime with Gnar.
