Hello, you've reached the desk of Violet Parr. I am unable to be reached at the moment, or I might be sitting in my chair right now but you can't see me because I'm having a panic attack. Either way, please leave your name and extension, and i will call you back as soon as I can breathe again.
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.

She hedged a bit, before nodding. Standing slowly, Violet, moved to wash her hands. She had been touching things on the floor after all. He seemed very nice, but she didn't deal with anxiety well. And he startled her, it'd take a bit to get her heart rate back down.
"What kind?"
"No, I havenā eaten yet," Fitz said, noticing the hesitation but not wanting to ask. Ā He wouldnāt have wanted to be asked, after all. Ā "I jusā got in here in time to make ya jump. Ā If youāll help, we can make the best sandwich ever, I promise. Ā I think weāve goā the stuff."

"No, no. I, I was ... I wasn't paying attention. I thought I was alone." piece by piece she placed it in the trash, before lowering her sandwich down, "Did you-"
She paused, before looking up, as if trying to find the word, he tongue tucked between her lips, "F- uh, eat?"
"Well, ya could, buā iā wouldnā be recommended, iās noā very saniā¦somethinā." Ā He instinctively yanked his hand back and gave his right one a good stare, hoping that the perpetual numbness wouldnāt blind him to injury. Ā "Shouldnā have been quiet, my fault, sorry."

She wrinkled her nose at the sandwich, "But, my sandwich ... I can't eat it n-now." she looked around, before pulling a waste bin over, starting to put the pieces in, "Careful, you might cut your hand."
She was stating the obvious. Ā Was she injured, too, then? Ā Sometimes Fitz stated the obvious just to cement it in his mind. Ā But he leaned over and started picking things up to try to help. Ā āāS okay, iās noā half as messy as the ones I made.ā

Violet's eyes squeezed shut, as she felt it hit her leg. It was like going numb immediately, she lost all feeling to her leg, and yet it was trying to wake up constantly. Constant burning. She remembered it. She'd experienced sleep paralysis, and it was a terrifying reminder of him.
She shook her head, grabbing at her leg, "P-P-Please stop."
Was he really that intimidating? Possibly. The thought made the older man swell with something akin to pride, as he continued to eye Violet, his expression still genial. He would have been one of her nightmares, now seated before her, in the flesh. Her reaction was understandable.
"Iāve made several interesting adjustments to the particle flow," he continued, as if he hadnāt heard a word the girl had spoken. "Did you know, itās actually possible to focus the energy so intensely, it can be contained to just one area of the body? A leg, for example."
There was a bright flash of light, and the ring was suddenly emitting a burst of bluish energy towards Violetās left leg. Syndrome grinned, moving his hand back and forth, and making the stream dance, before shutting off the burst. āIāve found, however, itās MUCH more entertaining when you select something like⦠oh, I donāt know, the head. Itās still a bit experimental, however. People have suffocated. A pity. I-⦠Iām terribly sorry, my dear, you were saying something, werenāt you? What was it again? Nice and slow. So Iāll be sure to hear you.ā

Violet whined a bit, still staring at the broken plate, and her ruined sandwich. She stepped back, moving to grab paper towels, "I-This is a mess. I made a m-mess," sheaking her head, she knelt down, trying to gently clean it up.
Fitz didnāt know if he was hallucinating or if he just hadnāt seen her somehow. Ā Oh, those restless nights when he lay plagued with flashbacks and nightmares, combining to exaggerate the past. Ā Heād come to the kitchen to get some water, anything to alleviate the dehydration that followed cold sweats.

"Iām jusāāIām quiet," he apologized, well aware that most people didnāt notice when he entered the room.

Her shoulders raised, elbows locked as she listened to him. She wouldn't go with him. This wasn't a discussion. But now he was threatening her, and the people around her. This wouldn't do.
"I ..." she did her very best to ease her heart rate trying to speak clearly and firmly, "I. Will have to respectfully decline. I, thank you for the opportunity. But as you can see, I'm v-" she closed her eyes, "Very busy.Ā I'm sure you understand that things don't need to get ... difficult."

"Yes. Iām sure you do. In fact I have absolutely no doubt about that. Butā¦" Again, he adjusted his ring, and the smirk grew a little wider, "Either way, you will be leaving this building with me, Ms. Parr. I will⦠insist upon it."
He leaned back, licking his lower lip and tilting his head to one side. āYou know itās been a very long time since I saw you last? Ten, eleven years maybe? You were just a kid back then, and my how youāve grown! Iām sure youāve been up to quite a bit since then. As it happens, so have I. Itās a bit⦠boring, having to blend into society, donāt you think? To be ānormal,ā when deep down, you know you just⦠arenāt. As it happens, when I get bored, I tinker. You should see the improvements Iāve made to my rocket boots, but⦠I think the zero point energy might interest you a little more. No?ā

She didn't want to call him that, because that would give him power. She'd had training. SHIELD had taught her.Ā
"A p-promise?" looking up at him she doubted anything he'd ever said to her parents was going to be good in any way, "That's okay. You c-can, I'm doing just fine."
His whole body stiffened violently, and the inventor narrowed his eyes, expression growing cold. Still, he managed to hold the facade of a smile.
"Call me Syndrome," he instructed the girl calmly. "And as to what Iām doing here. Well⦠Iām here for you. I made your family a promise a very long time ago. And Iām here to⦠fulfill that promise."

Violet had been quietly making a sandwich for herself. After getting back from the missions she'd slept most of the morning away. It was nearly 3 by the time she puttered out.
She didn't expect anyone else to be around, so when she turned around to go back to her bunk, and saw Fitz standing there, she immediatly phased invisible, and dropped the sandwich, the plate breaking once it hit the floor. This caused her to phase back into view from the shock.
She brought her hand up to her mouth, shaking her head, "S-Sorry! I didn't h-hear you come in!"

She never liked the way he complimented. It was always so sickening sweet. Like halloween candy way past itās date. But slowly she sat down, not having much else recourse. If she made too much of a fuss, heād like have something up his sleeve.
"I-I like things, like this. Itās calming." she fidgeted a bit with the pencils on her desk, "Iām h-helping people. What are you d-doing here ⦠Buddy?"
"Well, Iād like you to sit. Please. Canāt have you fainting and bumping that pretty little head of yours, now can we?"
He shifted and sat down on the edge of the younger womanās desk, glancing around in a show of appreciation, before his bright blue eyes landed on her face once more. āNice little set up youāve got here. Iāll admit, Iām⦠a bit surprised theyāve gotten you cooped up inside. Or was that a personal choice? Nomanisan a little too much excitement for you?ā He chuckled darkly in the back of his throat. āI canāt say Iād blame you if it was.ā

She could disappear immediatly. But he'd be expecting it. She needed to calculate the best time. But it wasn't helping the panic attack bubbling in her chest as she slowly stepped back, "I'd ... prefer to s-s-" she cleared her throat, "To stand. Please."
Syndrome couldnāt help but to grin. Oh, heād been looking forward to this for years, and now? Well. It was all falling into place.
"Take a seat, Agent Parr. Nice and slow. Letās⦠not make this any more difficult than it needs to be, shall we? Because I promise you, Iām not afraid to let things get messy."

Violet wasn't prepared to come face to face with him, not after all these years.
"N-No."
"Letās just agree that Iām a man very much in the business of taking matters into my own hands. And that I have something you want."

"Call me Syndrome. I think itās about time you and I started talking business, donāt you agree?"

The doors of the jet opened, and three agents stepped off, though four distinct sets of footsteps were heard. After a few moments, the petite woman phased back into view, an unhappy look on her face.
"Next time, don't ask." Violet Parr didn't like going Ā on missions, she didn't join SHIELD to be a field agent. But when you could turn yourself invisible, and the organization was in ruins at your feet, all Ā bets were off. She reached up to clutch her arm. It was wrapped in a tourniquet. She'd gotten grazed in the fall out of the mission, but they'd achieved her Ā goal. What's a little cross fire?

"Save?" she narrowed her eyes a bit, before shaking her head, "I am very mad, of course I am! My parents could have died, I could have died, everyone could have died! A lot of people did die!"
She shifted in her seat, clutching the mug, "It still doesn't justify murder ..."
Intrusion // Agent Parr
"The bad guy to you, perhaps, but then again, youāve only heard one side of the story," the trickster replied with a small shrug. He had no illusions about what he did, for better or for worse. It had been foggy once, where the line between what he was doing, and what Thanos was doing, but he saw clearly now that he was far beyond the Mad Titanās reach.
"I was trying to save Midgard, not that it matters now, or that it matters to you why I did what I did. I led an attack on your realm. It is in your right to be angry with me if you choose to be. Many are."
