Thinking about a sleepy tiny one resting their head on my chest as they sit on my lap and babble.

My arms are wrapped around them, I lovingly rub their back and caress their hair, humming in agreement. I know they need to rest but will refuse to acknowledge it, because they want to be awake with Dada. So I gently rock them in my arms, soothing them and easing them to sleep.

Soon, my darling one is fast asleep, and Dada is still here, making sure they're comfortable and safe on my embrace.
