“This is eerie to the tenth power squared. I didn’t know Earth time could shift like this. It’s intense. I never thought I’d reach the day where I can understand why my mom uses a stress helmet. How are you staying so majorly calm?!”

    “uh -- stress helmet??” the question was a good one even if nico didn’t really have an answer. these situations didn’t exactly freak him out. he had a small sense that he’d been through worse, strange as it all was. “this doesn’t really freak me out, i guess. wouldn’t call myself the most emotional person out there.” lie.

     now that was where the weirdness came into it all. it wasn’t exactly a normal thing to go around talking about how you could see ghosts. sure, maybe some mediums made it appear normal but his experiences had been more less so. “i just -- i have a feeling about it. at least it’s not dangerous right now. could change but i right now it’s fine. besides, being locked up in your bedroom doesn’t really sound fun.”

PERCY JACKSON observed the lake with the same passion and intensity one would watch their favorite movie. Every movement caused by the wind entertained him and soothed his soul after a long day of avoiding his gangster heir duties. His attention was so undivided that he did not hear the steps of the person coming towards him.

    fresh air had been desperately needed. there always were moments where seeing spirits roaming about could be, well, a bit overwhelming. he needed a break. nico hadn’t expected someone else to be by the lake, and from the looks of it they were pretty intent on just staring at it. “you seem distracted,” he mused.

         “ i’ve had EVERY intention of staying in my room until chicago at least turns BACK  — back to normal twenty first century , “  she says , eyebrows knitting together lips curved down into a frown . “ so unless you’re here to tell me that we’re SOMEHOW not — not in the twenties anymore , i’m just FINE never , ever leaving here . “ 

       this all was a bit confusing. nico still wasn’t certain what to think of this whole situation, though he couldn’t imagine just staying in his room. “it’s not that bad, really. don’t get me wrong the whole situation is weird but it doesn’t seem dangerous.”

HE/HIM. ┤ you’re riding solo, NICO DI ANGELO. their file names them a 20 year old DEMIGOD from PERCY JACKSON. according to their old friend, NICO has NONE of their memories. but what they do know, is their quintessence is captured within the lyrics of ECHO by JASON WALKER. 

BEFORE LOSS OF MEMORIES

born in the late 1930′s in venice, italy 

he had an older sister named bianca and they were both children of hades though unaware of it

before the start of world war ii he, his sister, and mom made their way to america where his mother was ultimately killed by zeus. hades managed to protect his children in time from the lightning bolt 

their memories were wiped of these events and though they were in a boarding school for a few years, eventually nico and his sister were taken to the lotus hotel and casino where they spent about 70 years there

once they were taken out, the siblings were sent to a military school where they were eventually attacked by a manticore, only to be rescued percy, annabeth, thalia, grover, and ultimately the hunters of artemis

bianca is then offered a spot within the hunters and whenever she agrees, nico feels absolutely betrayed. when he learns of the quest that they will be going on, he makes percy promise to protect his sister

unfortunately she is killed during the quest and once nico is told by percy, he completely loses it and opens a fissure in the ground, effectively getting rid of the skeletons that had been after percy. this confirms that he is a son of hades and nico runs away, angry and heartbroken

nico found himself in the labyrinth, being manipulated by king minos who was helping him master his powers 

he was desperate to contact his sister and trade her soul for another, but ultimately in the end nico decides against it and helps to fight with the demigods at camp half-blood

eventually whenever the war with kronos comes to a head, nico is the one to help percy become invulnerable and joins in the fight alongside the others and his father

he tried to stay at camp half-blood after everything but nico felt out of place and distant from everyone else so he left

later on nico finds the roman camp, claims to be a son of pluto and brought his half-sister back from the dead. he pretended that he didn’t know percy when the other arrived without memories. 

he then chooses to leave the camp in order to find the doors of death located within the underworld, only to come to close to tartarus and is pulled in. nico is alone in a place where gaea and her monsters run rampant, and is eventually overrun by the monsters

in order to lure the demigods on the quest to her, gaea uses nico to lure them. he is sealed into a bronze jar and only manages to survive by eating pomegranate seeds which put him into a death coma to conserve his air. needless to say after this nico is extremely claustrophobic. and tartarus really fucked him up 

other events occur, nico cannot help stop percy and annabeth from falling into tartarus themselves. and in order to get a scepter they need cupid makes nico confess that he was in fact gay and had a crush on percy

nico then shadowtravels with reyna and coach hedge with the athena parthenos and eventually they make it back to camp half-blood to help stop the war between camp half-blood and camp jupiter 

once gaea is defeated and everything settles down again, nico once more attempted to stay at the camp

nico is honestly like really powerful and really scary. he can be very angry and short, but he’s been working on it and trying to be more open and friendly to people

AFTER LOSS OF MEMORIES 

nico was raised in the foster care system which never got him anywhere. he grew up angry, lonely, and lashed out a lot

eventually turning 18 he was left to his own devices and attended college, though he is still uncertain as to what he wants to study

completely unaware of his abilities, though he does talk to ghosts. a lot of people in the foster homes thought he was really weird when they thought he was just talking to himself

has no idea he’s the son of hades or any of his other memories

refuses to admit that he’s gay because he’s scared of the reaction and is still uncertain of himself
