Since we are doing a movie marathon, we have chosen our third touchpoint to be a popcorn box to be purchased from our website to be collected at the screenings.
These are the changes that have been made to the mobile version of the website, based on the interim feedback and to make it look the same as the desktop version
These are some of the changes that have been made to the website in regards to the feedback we received on it from the interim.
Using more of the colour and text that have been used in the poster in order to make them both seem like they belong together.
Including more line drawings on the different pages to create a flow between the website.
Adjusting the scrolling of the pages so that information is grouped together by what can be seen on the screen at one time.
We have also organised more of our information on the events pages and added in the remaining text we were missing. There is still a bit of information to be put on the website, as well as changing to mobile website to look like the desktop version.
This is the feedback we have received about our poster and website.
From this we are working on improving the text on the poster, as well as the readability of the main title. We are also working on finding a way to link both the poster and the website stylistically using the colours and the imagery to do this.
Our next idea was to put the different sections on separate artboards and use the transitions to create the effect of the webpage scrolling up and down.
Originally we wanted to create a long scrolling website where everything is on one long web page and there is a navigation at the top which you can find the different headings under and the idea was that when you click one of the headings, it takes you to that specific section of the web page. However, after some research about Adobe XD, I have found that you are not able to link headings to sections on the same artboard.
The Wizard of Oz (1939) Dorothy Gale is swept away from a farm in Kansas to a magical land of Oz in a tornado and embarks on a quest with her new friends to see the Wizard who can help her return home to Kansas and help her friends as well.
Rebel Without a Cause (1955) A rebellious young man with a troubled past comes to a new town, finding friends and enemies.
Vertigo (1958) A former police detective juggles wrestling with his personal demons and becoming obsessed with a hauntingly beautiful woman.
Further changes to the colours to avoid boring browns and beiges. We adopted a palette to evoke a sunset as our movie night will take place around dusk. (left).
EDIT: After asking other students about the legibility of the title, we decided it would be better to raise the D and avoid orphaning it, tightening the curl around the pillar (right).
