We knew that Aro's army was moving against us. Soon we would face the dark gifts of Jane. And worse, the paralyzing vapor of her brother Alec who could rob you of sight, sound and touch.

Felix × m! Reader × demetri 🤧💔
He could be trying on his mates cloaks and volturi uniforms while they're soaking in a hot spring or something
Tumblr media
Happy pride 🫶🏻🏳️‍🌈 this is my first try at writing male reader. I hope you guys like it. It gets a bit hot here must be the weather lol ❤️
Tumblr media
From the corner of his eye he noticed his mate eyeing his cloak. Demetri knew what he was wanting but his dear mate did not feel like asking yet. He nodded at Felix who was just soaking into the warm water. Felix smirked, leaning backwards to watch their mate as well.
Both Demetri and Felix had taken off their cloaks and uniforms to bathe in the hot springs. Their mission was accomplished, their kings patiently waiting for their return; there was enough time to spend some moments with each other. Because it was night they knew no human would see them jumping into the water. The hot water was a stark contrast to their icy skin, Demetri and Felix wanted their new mate to experience it before they would return to Volterra.
Except he was not keen on jumping in. Instead he sat in the grass and stared at their clothing.
“Do you think he will put them on if he thinks we aren’t looking?” Demetri whispered low enough.
“Nah, too shy.” Felix grinned.
They watched their man inch closer to their clothing. His fingers touched the fabric and they heard him gulp. For a moment they both had forgotten they were soaking in hot water, distracted by whether he would or would not put on their cloaks.
“He is going to put on yours”, Felix snorted. “Must be because you are tiny.”
“Tiny?” Demetri protested. “I am 6 feet 3. He is tiny!”
“I am joking, oh what if he was as tiny as little Jane?”
“Well,” Demetri was about to argue but he shushed Felix as he saw their mate had finally gathered enough courage to try something.
They watched him take off his light grey uniform and slowly he put on Demetri’s uniform. The dark grey uniform from Demetri was large for the man as he was only 5 feet 8.  But they both noticed he looked happy as he closed the buttons and moved around a bit.
Felix couldn’t help himself but quickly get out of the water to get to him. Demetri had to chuckle when their dear was visibly shocked at Felix suddenly standing naked in front of him. He started stammering, apologizing for touching their clothes.
“Calm down, little one,” Felix cupped his cheek. “You look good in it.”
“I do?” He whispered.
“Perhaps I need to ask the new secretary to order such a uniform for you as well,” Demetri joined, eyeing him up. He smirked when his mate gulped as he looked down Demetri’s body.
Felix had let go of the man’s cheek to grab his cloak. “Now put on my cloak and then you wear something from both of us,” he threw the cloak at his mate.
He started giggling, making both Felix and Demetri smile. Putting on the cloak he gave it a twirl.
“Looks good,” Felix couldn’t help but stare. His eyes grew dark at as he watched him.
Demetri stepped closer, “dear?”
His mate looked up, “yes?”
He cupped his cheeks, making him gasp again. “Are you aware you are making us want to devour you alive?”
The noises his mate let out made Demetri more excited, “permission to kiss you?”
The tiny shy “yes” was enough for Demetri to kiss him. He pushed himself entirely against his mate, making him walk backwards until his back hit Felix’s chest.
Perhaps their moment of spending some time together would take a bit longer before they would return to Volterra.

How would you meet / Twilight/ Volturi edition p2 Guards
Hellobello sweets, I brought the second part of this series to you. I am planning to do this with many more series, with all a bit different than the others. Here you can ask for ideas for me to make.
Guards: Demetri Volturi, Alec Volturi, Jane Volturi
P1 is here
Demetri Volturi 2025/ Greece/ Vampire
The Mediterranean country was not what one would call a vampire's paradise. Cloudy days were rare, which allowed them to emerge from their little place during the day. And sometimes that cloudy period would change quickly and the sun would take over, chasing the creatures of the night back into the cover. If it weren't for Andrea, the situation would have no effect on Y/N. It was possible that she would stay among the Greeks, but it was also possible that she would travel around the world. Without her creator, she would be in control, she could go anywhere and explore and learn about anything, all without revealing herself of course. The consequences, not just her own punishment, are terrifying for any vampire.
- Are you ready? - The question comes in Y/N's direction as the four hundred year old vampire woman stands beside her, her maker. Both vampires' eyes burned black in their dimly lit house. The air was still heavy with the scent of wildflowers. Sometimes, on a day, even the most advanced vampires could be disturbed.
In the darkness of night, following Andrea, Y/N stepped out into the open.  The building behind them had served as a hideout during World War II, and when that ended, it stood abandoned for a while before the older vampire woman found it. The proximity and oblivion of the forest made it the perfect location for her. During the accident, which Y/N survived, but the nearby and hungry Andrea targeted her for feeding. The black curly-haired woman never once told Y/N the whole truth about why she had chosen her out of dozens of others and why she had allowed the transformation to be completed.
- No... Not really... - She replied, her eyes hidden behind contact lenses. Andrea had a very interesting hunting method. The two of them would pick one person at a time and follow that person until they had the opportunity to attack. As a newborn, Y/N was a little uncomfortable with the stalking, since they got to know the victims much better, so Andrea let her move to the dark alleys, even if the people who frequent those places were usually the ones whose blood was less flavorful.
The contact lenses in Y/N's eyes had melted as she finished off the drunk man and let the body fall to the ground. As the bloodlust settles in her body, the smell of an alien vampire hits her, along with her sire. Andrea had already introduced her to two vampire acquaintances, but it was something else. Andrea's voice felt muffled, held back in the distance.  Y/N had spent enough time by Andrea's side to know that the dark-hearted woman didn't feel much threat.
Y/N's feet were already moving on their own in the direction of the voice. The blood on her face hasn't even dried yet, the late night air will soon take care of that. - You've changed, you don't make mistakes when feeding... - The strange man spoke in a foreign language, stepping closer to the vampire woman who was huddled against the wall. Andrea had once wanted to teach Y/N ancient Greek, but she quickly gave up. Y/N couldn't rely on words, only her intuition.
- What does the Volturi want? - The woman gets to the point, in the same language. Andrea's gift caught the Volturi's attention. Andrea, also at a low level, can influence the weather, which made her stay on the Greek island easier.
- Your joining. - The man replied. His tone was negative which made Y/N's instinct to attack tingle as she approached ready to attack. Something wasn't right, but there was no sign to tell Y/N what it was. The night animals moved in the same way and the warm breeze did not change direction. Y/N's body, as she drew closer, braced for the attack if the man crossed the threat and attacked Andrea. She was far enough away from them, but close enough to get there.
At Y/N's hiding place, owls suddenly hoot and bats soar. Like all vampires, Y/N had an advanced reaction time, but she still failed to dodge out of the way of the man, who suddenly came in front of her and pinned her by the neck to a tree. If Y/N had to breathe, her face would have turned completely purple when the blond-haired man finally loosened his grip on her, just in time to prevent cracks from forming on her neck. - You still have a lot to learn, (μου ψυχή) mou psychē. - He whispered, leaning forward to Y/N's ear, this time in a language Y/N understood well. His voice, with its faint but palpable accent, caressed the marble skin of the bloody faced girl.
- Demetri!- Andrea's voice rang out, suddenly out of nowhere catching the man, Demetri's wrist, with which he held Y/N pinned to the tree. Behind her, the trunk of the tree began to give way, and it made a sound. A little more and Demetri is going to knock down the couple of year old tree with Y/N's body. - Know your place! - The man's whole posture changed as the focus of his attention became, apparently on Y/N's sire. The playful red eyes were replaced by more dangerous ones. Only the hand on Y/N's neck remained steady but gentle. A moment of hesitation crossed the black-haired woman's face, but she let go of Demetri's arm and made no further attempt to pull the vampire man away from Y/N.
- Have you ever been to Volterra? - His tone immediately jumped back to a softer level, speaking Y/N. - The Masters would certainly welcome you... - Demetri brushed Y/N's blood-stained face with his thumb before stepping back at his comment. The blond vampire male tasted the blood then nodded approvingly to Y/N. -I believe we have a deal. - He looked towards Andrea with a knowing smile on his face.
Jane and Alec Volturi 2023/ USA/ Vampire
There were few things that vampires found boring. More specifically, vampires like Y/N. Even at their worst, they can get lost in their thoughts, or look around. That's probably why, after her transition and her newborn years, Y/N stayed with Charlotte and Peter and didn't wander away from them. And in the first months, Y/N's powers came to light.  What was similar to the best friends of the two older vampires, but while Jasper Hale could use the full range of emotions as a tool, Y/N could only suggest comfort and create an illusion of environment.
The young Y/N looked out of the window at the passing landscape.  All this had to be done for a simple wedding dress, because Alice had to pick up the dresses she had already ordered. This time the pixie only designed and sewed her own bridal gown, but bought the bridesmaid dresses from famous designers. There was no good explanation why she wanted to take Y/N with her at all costs, but the whole Cullen family warned Y/N to sometimes just let the flow of events take her. Y/N can hold herself for a small amount of time.
- These won't match the jewellery...- The fairy-like vampire girl suddenly stopped as she and Y/N were loading the bags into the fiery red car. They'd completely deviated from the original plan of Alice just picking up the agreed clothes for the next day.
Y/N looks eternal at sixteen, but she has a few vampire years behind her, but it was still hard to be in the same airspace as humans. It's hard to understand how they,  meaning the Olympic Coven, can live with humans and endure the bloodlust. Peter, Charlotte and Y/N had been hunting before they arrived, yet the temptation was immense.
- If you take me to the edge of the forest, I'll find my way back. - Y/N noted. She was confident in her uncertainty.
- It'll be all right. We practiced. - The fairy-like vampire girl assured Y/N to calm her.  Alice may be able to sense the future, but maybe her powers have failed her this time. Y/N's mind was filled with more images and fantasies, but all centred around human blood.  How to jump on the person closest to her. Or how Y/N's instincts drew her attention to the necks and carotid arteries of people nearby. Y/N really practiced, with Charlotte, mostly for to get things from shops when they get to like something without loosing their senses. It was good that neither of them were newborn vampires. Y/N's thoughts must have crossed a fine line, because the next moment Alice slammed on the brakes on the road. Luckily, they had set off at the quietest time of the day, so the sudden stop on the main road in the rainy town hadn't caused an accident.
Y/N had seen Alice experiencing a vision several times before. So, until the Cullen girl's whole body relaxed, she stayed by Alice's side. Alice must have seen something horrible, because the amber eyes was reflecting horror. Similar to what Y/N often saw reflected in the eyes of her victims. And the only emotion that remained from her human past that wasn't lost in the blur.
- Reneesme and Jake will be joining us. - Alice turned towards Y/N, her features straightening, but it was too late. Living with Peter and Charlotte, the young vampire girl had learned a lot. Peter taught Y/N much about the army, about humans and what his maker had forced him into.
Something was wrong, but Y/N had no way of knowing, so she had to wait and see.  As quickly as Alice Cullen could, she drove out of the small town and into a wooded area. As soon as the sports car turned onto a dirt road, rocks began to bounce steadily up the side of the vehicle, damaging the car. Rose and Emmett would certainly be upset if they saw the condition of the car, which Alice does not spare with her driving style. If Y/N were a mortal, chances are she'd be clinging for dear life to the handrail above the seat. Within half a minute, the shifter and the halfblood vampire were in sight, and soon their scent was on the increase, causing a grimace to appear on Y/N's face as she opened the door and stepped out. Although the oddity of the Cullen family was much younger than Y/N, to an outside observer the opposite was obvious
- When are the bloodsuckers coming? - The half-naked wolf greeted them. Almost in one smooth movement he was between his mate and Y/N, ready to change form in an instant if the vampire girl attacked. During the initial acquaintance phase, the bronze-skinned figure was not impressed by the fact that Y/N fed on human blood.
-Alice? - The question rised from Y/N's throat. It wouldn't be surprising if there was some sort of conflict, the Cullen family was a magnet for conflict. - Alec, Jane and Demetri gave the Volturi greetings for the wedding, but they hadn't left yet.- With a slight hesitation, Alice relayed the information to the girl. If it weren't for the Olympic Clan, she would be filled with pure relief.
Instead, Y/N set off on a run. Alice made a move to catch the young vampire and prevent Y/N from acting carelessly but she was a few seconds too late. As she ran at vampire speed, she had to change direction several times at the start until she found the scent to follow. From memory, Y/N had to find his way back to the Cullen house, which was built into the cliff side in the middle of the forest.
The door almost burst open in front of Y/N. A scene of suspense flashed before the red eyes. Peter and Charlotte, who counted as family, Y/N were relieved that the two older vampires had not been found by the Volturi's guards, and that they were in distance from Jane. Y/N heard about the witch twins.
She's not quite ready to use her ability yet, but it's worth a try.  Everyone in the Cullen family living room was ready to pounce, ready to attack, just trying to hide it. Even the two Volturi members had a look of contempt on their faces along with hatred. It was a long time before Y/N's eyes turned from her adopted sister and brother to the Volturi. The blonde girl's crimson irises alternate between dismay, hope and mockery. The boy's eyes gave a much clearer reaction.
Y/N was completely lost in looking at the Volturi twins to pay full attention to their surroundings, but behind her back Edward snorted and made a sour expression as he did so. If his wife's shield hadn't been extended, Jane would have punished him for that alone. Even so, a scowl and a threatening glance was given to the members of the Cullen family present.
Neither Jane nor Alec could put into words what they felt. As if, after hundreds of years, they had finally taken their first breath. Or as if the confidence they hadn't felt since their deaths had returned to their marble-hard skin. The tension of the Cullen family’s room start to ease. Esme was the first who get to ease up. Emmett and Demetri were the only people who terribly enjoy the scene as the two vampire freeze a bit. The moment totally changed Alice plans about the wedding she planned.

Crimson Throne
Title: “Crimson Throne”: a Twilight fanfiction
Pairing: Volturi Kings x Male reader ( Vampire )
Genre: Dark Romance | Power | Possessive Love | Enemies to Lovers |
Warnings: Violence, Blood/Gore, Emotional Trauma, Power Imbalance, Possessive Behavior, Dark Themes, Mature Themes.
Summary: You’re a vampire yourself - not just any vampire, but a rogue who’s avoided covens, rules, and the Volturi for centuries. You’re dangerous, infamous, powerful... and utterly alone. Until the three kings find you. Or rather — claim you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were a myth.
A vampire with no coven, no creator, no known origin. Stories whispered of your power — that you could shatter stone with a glance, that your venom burned hotter, that your mind was unreadable even to Aro himself. You had no allegiance. No mercy.
You were a ghost that haunted Volturi records for centuries.
Uncontrolled. Untouchable.
An embarrassment they could never catch.
So they sent others. Guards. Trackers. Assassins.
None returned.
Eventually, the Volturi left you alone. Not out of mercy — out of fear.
Until one night… you stepped into Volterra on your own.
Unannounced. Uninvited.
Through the front gates.
You walked into their throne room in silence. The guards reacted instantly, weapons drawn, snarls in their throats.
But the kings didn’t move.
Aro rose slowly. “You’ve come.”
Caius stared at you like a blade he didn’t know whether to wield or worship. “Why?”
Marcus didn’t speak — just blinked, and something passed through his eyes like recognition.
You said only one thing:
“I’m tired.”
The air shifted.
Aro stepped down from his throne, eyes locked on yours. “Tired of running?”
You shook your head. “Tired of being alone.”
That’s when Marcus spoke.
Soft. Certain. “He’s ours.”
You didn’t understand it at first — the pull, the bond, the way being near them felt like blood finally flowing after centuries of stillness. You resisted it. Fought it.
You were not made for others. You were made for destruction. That’s what you’d always believed.
But they didn’t see a monster. They saw a mate.
Aro tried to court you — charming, poetic, careful with his hands like you might shatter. He asked questions no one ever cared to ask. Listened to your silences.
Marcus simply sat with you in the garden at night. You never talked much — but he knew the pain in your chest without words.
Caius challenged you. Provoked you. Pushed until you bared your fangs — and kissed you like war.
They didn’t try to cage you. They let you roam. Let you threaten the guards. Let you be wild. And still — they loved you.
It terrified you.
But it was real.
For the first time in your long, violent life… someone wanted you. Not your power. Not your fear. You.
And when the bond fully awakened — when Aro touched your hand and wept, when Marcus said he could feel you in his soul, when Caius pulled you into his arms like it would kill him to let go — you knew:
You weren’t made to be alone.
You were made for them.
When enemies rose. When the Volturi were challenged by younger covens. When war came knocking…
You stood beside your mates.
And when they saw what you really were — what the kings had claimed — the vampire world trembled.
Because the kings had found their fourth.
And the throne had never been bloodier.

Vanish Into You
Demetri Volturi x fem human reader
Warning: Angsty, mentions of smut
A/N: Im sorry for the angsty Demetri, it was hard to write for him in this genre since I always write him all sweet and happy. But with this song I knew it was going to be a hit in the guts.

He tends to sit on the corner of the bed with his face in his hands as soon as I'm asleep. It's almost every night when he comes over, he never stays long enough for the sun to graze our skin. In the moment, we make promises of being together forever, but as soon as the next night comes upon us, he's silent. He won't even look at me in the eyes as he sets his pace, I'm almost like some object to him where he can release whatever stress he might have. No amount of pages I write into this will ever come close to the pain it causes me when he won't meet my gaze or tell me he loves me.
He used to say it so carelessly and naturally, almost like if he was made to say those three words to me. The way he would make me feel so special as his lips made contact with my skin, the way he refused to look away from me or have his hands off me for long. He would profess his love to me like a vow, a vow that one day we will indeed have forever. But now that has all changed, as I write this, I have not seen him for weeks now.
His scent still lingers on the pillow he would lay on after he made love to me. It was so strong that I would believe he was actually there.I would cry into it every night, letting my mind be overcome with thoughts of him as I inhaled his scent. Has he started to regret our time spent together? Was I just for a moment? A moment where he was allowed to stop seeking at any given moment. How is that fair for me? Was I never part of his so-called plan of forever? Was it all lies to just share a moment of pleasure?
When I look in the mirror I see him for a split second, but as quick as the wind he vanishes into me. Why do I kid myself into thinking he will come back, this is the longest we have been apart, he won't come back. The longer I see myself in the mirror, the more I believe he is looking back at me, I believe that later that night I will see him once again. All those cold summer nights we would share, it felt ecstatic to be in his arms as he would whisper sinful words. From wanting to ruin me in the most passionate way, to making us feel like the only people in this warmless life.
Even if he was cold as stone, his touches felt like little touches of heat. It gave me the spark of wanting to continue in this life, even if we would not spend the day together, just those moments in the night was all the happiness I needed. All of that has vanished into the night just like he does before the sun rises. All that was left was his scent.
As the moon rises to its full potential, I’m reminded of another night spent in the cold without him. I thought he was happy with me, he would give me these smiles full of sunshine as soon as he saw me. How can that truly be all gone?
Even if the moonlight spills through my windows creating a gloomy atmosphere as it has been in the past, I feel a small shift in the air. On his pillow lies a lone paper, as I get closer to it I see his face on it. His face was slightly fazed as he was mid run when the picture was being taken, behind the picture was carefully written letters
“Once in a blue moon, you were mine, but once in your life I was yours”
A silent tear rolls down my cheek as the words sink in, he won't be coming back. That's the reality I will have to face and carry for the rest of my warmless life.
Diary Entry #66
“Saw your face and mine
In a picture by our bedside
It was cold in the summertime
We were happy just to be alive
Can I vanish into you?” - Vanish Into You By Lady Gaga

The Retrieval (Demetri Volturi)
WARNING: THIS IS DARK. TWs DO APPLY. CHILDEATH. MISCARRIAGE. STILLBORN DEATH. KIDNAPPING. HOSTAGE SITUATION. FORCED PREGNANCY SITUATIONS.
Tumblr media
Aro's desire to be all knowing and powerful held no bounds. It had been two hundred years since the Volturi's discovery of Renesmee. Two hundred years since the obsession of hybrids began. He was trying to collect as much knowledge as possible.
Here and there, someone who seemed fertile and able to carry was taken from the tours to be held in the dungeons. Then they were the guards' choices. Though Aro was encouraging of this, he had conditions. The first being don't damage the human carriers. The second being done cause any distress or harm that will disruption the carriers ability to carry to term. The third, charm the carrier. The less trauma, the better.
Lastly, one at a time. Meaning if one guard was to change carriers. It was all to be kept track of so they knew which the offspring belonged to. It'd make any decent person squirm. Even the guards themselves if they weren’t too desensitised to humans. Impregnating the food was never an idea any species enjoyed after all.
Demetri was the best at it due to his escapades whilst others were less practiced and often caused harm or even death. He made it easier for the current times whilst the Volturi looked into other methods. Demetri didn't think of them as carriers. Rather, he considered them as forgettable flings. Demetri had the record for offspring. His recorded number of offspring being twenty-eight. Although making the hybrids was the easy part. Raising them was the difficult part. Not because of the tantrums or need for constant attention. It took a toll. Demetri, by nature, developed an attachment to his offspring each time and when tragedy struck, he felt the loss.
Majority of his children lost the genetic lottery. Their lifespans were affected and immortality wasn't guaranteed. The shortest being ten years. That child had been one of the earlier offspring to date. He stopped growing at the physicality of fourteen but one day Demetri noticed his heart didn't beat the same as it did before. One by one Demetri endured his sons organs packing in. By the time the boy passed, they tried to actually find what had happened to him. He was one of the phew where they did some level of autopsy. Bizarrely the boys organs had aged faster than his very appearance. A teenager with the organs of a well lived elder. Some got human lifespans which hurt just the same when they were gone. Then there were those who had to be eliminated. Those who were a huge liability. None of them were very easy to endure. Although a particular pattern emerged. Girls were a rarity and none had survived for various reasons, some unexplainable. It had the Volturi wondering if it was something in Demetri's bloodline yet he couldn't remember to really confirm or deny anything.
As time went on, he tried not to become attached to his children at all. Expecting to lose each one of them, which he did until luck was on his side. Ares, Sebastian And Helios showed promise when they were born. Several decades apart yet they were healthy and going strong.
Ares, the eldest living child, was twenty years old but physically looked fourteen. He had stopped growing for a few years but seemed to be starting to grow again. Demetri regularly listened to his heart and monitored him to ensure he was alright. He was considered the big brother that the other children were to follow. The second in command under Demetri himself. The children almost had a hierarchy on Demetri's perceived value of them.
Sebastian was twelve years old but was mentally around ten. He was the mediator and more eager to learn. His admiration for his father only another peg in his father's favour. Demetri wasn't as concerned about Sebastian's wellbeing as he was Ares, only because Demetri felt he had some time yet. Though there was no doubt by the time he was twenty or if something had changed in his health that Demetri would be monitoring him too.
Helios was the youngest. He looked and acted like it too. The rare occurrence that development and mental age matched. However he had inherited much more vampire traits than his living brothers. It concerned him, Helios just barely getting out of trouble. Had Helios had no respect for the laws and secrecy of vampire kind, he'd have met his fate much sooner. He was quite the hotheaded trouble maker, often getting disciplined by Demetri. His behaviour was a consistent and constant problem for his violent tendencies, anger issues and hyperactivity that made him aggressive.
All three boys had shown high probability of an immortals life span. Those were the children who he was willing to give most of his time.
Demetri was alerted of the fatality of a carrier and offspring. As he always did, he went to see the child. Another girl. He was saddened by what could have been as he was for every child but the loss didn't surprise him anymore. As he delicately stroked the baby's head, a guard spoke up. “Do you know what happened to the carrier called Angela?” He paused. “No. This carrier is named Lily.” Demetri said. The guard paused. “Angela is left blank. We don't have an Angela and…it's dated seven years ago.” That made Demetri stop altogether, still cradling the baby. “One of mine?” He asked. “Yes, there was two that year. One didn't make it, one was-” “The year one was eliminated?” Demetri asked and the guard nodded. “There's one unaccounted for.” The guard frowned. Demetri thought for a moment. “Leave it with me. Let me send off this little one first.” When the guard left Demetri looked down and kissed the baby's head. “I'm sorry, sweetheart.”
That night, Demetri sat in his armchair thinking about the unaccounted for carrier. He remembered the third but he couldn't remember what had happened to them or the offspring. He had checked the record. The name was there and that the carrier was due. He was certain that the situation with the eliminated offspring had showed the memory of the second carrier. Yet he couldn't remember anything about the carrier after that day.
A thought occurred to him. A thought that made him stiffen in his armchair. If this ‘Angela’ was unaccounted for then it's a chance she wasn't dead and she certainly wasn't in this castle. That meant someone disappeared right under the Volturi's notice.
He focused on his memories of Angela. Even if it was rather difficult to track someone he could barely recall. Although…it wasn't impossible. After a few minutes of concentration, he picked up a tenor and his stomach would have dropped. That was something he hadn't wanted because if he could track her, it meant she was still alive. Still alive…and not in the castle. Unaccounted for. He practically dived off the armchair, storming out of the room.
Demetri told Aro, Marcus and Caius that he and Felix would handle it immediately and took the three boys with him. All three having proven they were good at being sneaky back ups. The instructions were clear. It didn't matter how Angela escaped. If the child was still alive and Angela didn't hand the child over then she was to be eliminated. He tracked her to Norway and was faced with an isolated house that looked rather old.
The house itself, though rather spacious, was completely square and bleak looking. A complete lack of imagination on the architecture. This house was built purely on function and nothing more. Brown bricks, brown windows and a charcoal grey simple roof. It gave the impression that the house, submerged by the surrounding forest, had been lost to time. Perhaps due to the upkeep… if there was one.
Demetri's attention was grabbed by a woman coming out from the front of the house and toward them around the back. He remembered Angela much clearer upon seeing her. She had been changed. Somehow. That implied she had gotten some help. However, there was little time to think about that as Demetri saw a little girl clinging to Angela's side. She looked about physically six years old. However He was too busy being stunned at the most obvious thing of the child's appearance.
“A girl.” He said quietly to himself, his gaze softening momentarily. His first girl. A girl that had survived. Finally. The first girl in two hundred years. He wanted to ask how the girl survived. It took priority in his head over anything else. He didn't even care how they escaped at that point. Only that he had a daughter. A living daughter.
It was clear the poor child was terrified. No doubt Angela had taught her to fear Demetri. He wasn't overly pleased by that, though not surprised. Though it wasn't too big of a problem. He believed every child should fear their parent to an extent. Though never so much that said parent couldn't be trusted. That was the goal with every child he fathered. Each one would learn to trust him. Even if they were intimidated by his stern demeanor. Every one of his children learned it. Even Helios. He learned that he could cause the trouble should he wish it. He'd simply expect the consequences swiftly after but above all, Demetri was the boss. No ifs, ands or buts. The same went for this girl. She could fear him, she could question his intentions, she could scream and cry but what she wouldn't do was try to override his authority.
However, if there was one thing that caused him great concern was Angela herself. The carriers never survived the birth. So the one main parent was Demetri. The children did not have enough memories to really bond with the carriers. From the second they were born, the children were removed from the dungeons and he swooped in for that integral time ensuring they bonded to him. By the time they were bonded to him as their father, he could let go and ultimately they'd be cared for by others but he'd still check in. Therefore all of his prior children had only bonded with him. This girl hadn't bonded with him at all in her entirely life and had grown dependent on the carrier who was alive. That was a big complication. Therefore the carrier wasn't a carrier anymore. The carrier had become a mother.
Finally Demetri spoke. “I should have known you'd be the one to cause trouble. You always were the stubborn one.” “How can you be so sure? You seemed too occupied to keep up with the likes of us.” Angela replied coldly. “I'd be very careful how you speak to me, surrogate.” He spat. “You've caused a very big problem for the Volturi and my own daughter.” Angela jutted out her jaw in defiance but couldn't ignore her instincts warning her of the danger to come. “My daughter is no concern or business of yours. She's perfectly safe with me. Where she belongs.” She tried to force any fear from her voice but failed tremendously. She knew her wording was dangerous, having dared to denounce Demetri as her daughter's father.
Without warning, he stormed towards Angela. “You dare speak those words to me!?” He hissed. “You think I'll allow this? You believe I'll simply walk away from this?” His glare pierced her very soul. An anger unlocked that could make the forest shake. The very foundation of the world crack. “I will not rest until that girl is with me where she belongs. That is where she should be. That was the very reason you got to live as long as you did, you ungrateful wench!” Angela knew he had the experience to overpower her. She was in the latter years of her newborn status and year by year was losing that newborn strength. He had the intelligence over her too. She blurted out a response in panic that did her no favours as she fought for control over the situation. “I've told her everything about you. She knows what you've done.” She said coldly, her head held high. Demetri seemed to search her expression. His anger bubbled just under the skin. “Is that so?” He asked lowly but by no means less angry. His hand gripped her jaw tightly. “All the more reason to take her since you fill her head with things she shouldn't hear at her age.” He ground out.
That seemed to spook the little girl and she sprinted off back towards the house “Madison!” Angela cried out but Demetri kept a firm grip on her, his eyes darting towards the fleeing girl momentarily before his gaze returned to Angela. “You've done your purpose, surrogate. I'll take it from here.” “I'll die before I let you take her.” Angela gritted out. “Then die.” He said in disgust and before she could stop him, his other hand grabbed the back of her head and twisted. With a sickening crunch, her head came off.
Helios giggled and nudged the head lightly with his foot. “Ares. You come with me, we'll take care of this.” He then turned to the younger two boys. Before eyeing the house. “Get her.” He ordered. Helios giggled again, this time with excitement. Tasks like these were like playtime to ensure the hybrids would be excellent hunters. The two boys nodded and sprinted to the house.
Madison knew she only had mere minutes but she had the house to her advantage as she knew it. However she didn't realise that in this circumstance that wouldn't be enough. She especially didn't have the ability to hide her fear and her fear had well and truly overwhelmed her by the time the two boys had entered. Madison looked up at them through narrow gaps in the floorboards trying to be quiet but her sniffles didn't help matters.
Sebastian looked around with much more thought than Helios did. Helios wanted to tear the place apart, make a mess using the hunt for his younger sister as an excuse. He was famous for that in the Volturi. He justified his trouble with reasons for doing so, even if they lacked logic. Sebastian kept a tight grip on Helios’s wrist so he didn't go anywhere. “Do you hear that?” Sebastian asked lowly. “I don't hear nothin’!” Helios said loudly and Sebastian shushed him. “That's because you're not listening, idiota! Listen! Usa le orecchie!” Helios huffed and stayed quiet. That's when they heard whimpering sobs. “Okay maybe I hear that.” Helios huffed. He peeked under the couch. “Nothin’.” “If father hears you cutting off your words early, he'll be annoyed.” Sebastian said. “No one likes a snitch.” Helios chided. Sebastian ignored him walking around the living room. “It's coming from the floor.” He halted. “Non va bene.”
Minutes later, Demetri and Ares returned. “Well?” Demetri turned to Sebastian and Helios. “We found her. She's under the floorboards.” Sebatian said. That was something Demetri didn't expect. He heard the crying and noticed something the two boys hadn't. To the left of the room were three misplaced floorboards. A small child could get in, but no one else could.
Demetri looked at Helios. “Go in there and get here. Helios giggled again, already excited for the curious game of hunt. He already imagined what he could do to get to the girl. Demetri noticed and grabbed Helios’s arm and glared at him. “She isn't to be harmed.” That dampened Helios excitement some. Demetri continued. “Bring her to me, unharmed.”
Helios scrambled towards the hole and dropped in with no fear. The chase was on and sure enough he heard the scuffling of two children beneath him. That's when Demetri heard his daughter scream in fear of Helios. She now realised that Demetri had sent him in to retrieve her. He heard the two crawling and tried to follow them from above. “Don't be frightened, sweet girl. You'll be alright.” Demetri said loudly but went ignored by the girl. Suddenly, he heard Helios yelp and whine in pain and aggravated. His eyes widened. Sebastian moved to his side. “Father, I'd be able to fit in but I wouldn't be able to get out again, I think.” Demetri nodded. “Go in, I'll get you out again through a different way.” Sebatian nodded and headed to the hole. It was definitely a tight squeeze but he could do it.
Demetri heard shuffling and Sebastian spoke up. “Are you okay? Go back up. I'll get her. Father will check your face.” Demetri felt a burning rage and concern to hear his son must have been injured. “Helios!” Demetri called and moved towards the hole where Helios was looking up at him. He had covered his noise and mouth. “She kicked me!” It came out muffled but Demetri hauled him up and out of the hole by the arms. “Let me see, darling.” Demetri muttered as he inspected his sons nose and mouth for any injury. His son didn't seem injured but got a good bop to the face. He felt relief and rubbed his sons shoulders.
Demetri was distracted suddenly by a snarl, yelp and scream. “I've got her!” Sebastian yelled. Demetri moved back towards where he heard his children. His daughter was clearly terrified. “Quit squirming!” Sebastian yelled. Demetri moved to where he heard them directly below him on the floor. Suddenly Sebastian screamed in pain. “Get off! Get off! Help! She's biting me!”
Demetri lunged forward and tore at the floorboards that came away with ease. “Stop it!” Demetri demanded as he caught sight of Sebastian squeezing the girl as her jaw was clamped on his shoulder. “Get her off!” Sebastian shrieked. Helios, the violence fanatic, looked around Demetri. “Punch her in the head!” “No!” Demetri growled. “You bring her to me. She is not to be harmed!” Demetri reached in and noticed how small she was. He was thankful he hadn't given any of his sons an opportunity to hurt her. He highly doubted she'd not be severely injured. “Take her! Take her!” Sebastian cried as Demetri pried the girl from Sebastian and straightened to a stand. Madison kicked and screamed, trying to get away.
“Be still.” Demetri gritted out sternly. “You won't win this fight. You're coming home with me.” He angled her head to the side of his shoulder, holding her there by the back of her head and carrying the rest of her weight with the other. “Boys, we're going.” He said briskly.
Madison screamed and cried for her mother. That sent a pang into Demetri's chest and tried to console the girl. “Hush now.” He said soothingly low into her ear. She felt the rumble in his chest as he spoke. “You're safe, sweetheart. I'm your father and I'm going to take you home.” He kissed her hair. He forced away his anger that she'd be left with the confusion and fear. She didn't know her father or her brothers, she didn't know the castle she was supposed to grow up in. He had a good feeling about his daughter too. She seemed to be aging like her brothers but not quite catching up. He listened to her heartbeat. Quick with terror but strong. Very strong. This was a healthy child. He was confident she'd last like his three sons would. She had to. “I'm not going to miss one more second of you, sweetheart.”
