I’ve been using up a lot of creativity for work, and my brain currently couldn’t come up with stories for my personal art. I really felt like making a comic for fun though. So that I don’t have to think, I redrew an old comic! Hehe. I always liked the idea of Ladybug wondering what kind of person Chat Noir is behind the mask. Old caption to my original Instagram post :

These panels make me so sad because you can see these two truly loved each other. Endeavor was so proud of Touya and Touya was so happy he got to have a quirk like his father. Like, all I can think about is it could've turned out so much better if Endeavour's insecurities didn't get in the way :(

Honestly, I can't understand people who are arguing that everything Dabi is doing is right.

Did he suffer from abuse? Yes, he did. Does it make everything he did justifiable? No, it doesn't.

Killing innocent people, sacrificing someone he called a friend (yes, I'm talking about Twice here, because Dabi was clearly recording his death with the intention of using it against Hawks, I doubt he ever truly wanted to save him) and planning on killing your own brother (who also was an abuse victim), all of that to take revenge on Endeavor, it isn't okay, no matter how I see it.

You still aren't convinced and think he has every right of making others suffer, because of the abuse he went through? Okay, then let's look at other characters who also suffered from abuse: Midoriya, Shoto and Hawks. Do you want to guess what they all have in common? They decided to become heroes, they decided to help and save other people. They didn't turn what they had to go through into an excuse to make others suffer.

Do you still need more convincing? Let's think about it this way: a villain decided to kill your mother, an innocent person, because said villain suffered when he was child. Do you think the villain has the right to still kill your mother? I surely hope not. And the same applies to Dabi.

You can like him all you want, but nothing he did was right or justifiable.

AWW He’s so cute you guys! I think I’m officially declaring Toya/Dabi my new LOV crush. It used to be Shigaraki and he’s still 2nd. Technically Shigaraki’s actually more sympathetic than Toya, since they’ve both got tragic backstories and abusive dads and Shigaraki at least still likes his friends, while Toya hates everyone and just does not give a fuck. But hey, I still love him anyway. Seriously everyone in this series needs a hug.

So I asked myself while writing this, why am I apparently not wanting Jeanist to pop up and prove Dabi’s “lying” (he’s not, he just doesn’t know the truth) about Hawks? Apparently I want society’s faith in heroes to be shaken or something. Well yeah. I guess, as long as our heroes make it out of this arc alive, I’m kinda rooting for the villains to win here. Not because I agree with them, but because it feels like that’s the point of this arc, this piece of the story. It’s the “fall of the old” to make way for the new. The Darkest Hour, the ending of the Empire Strikes Back (fittingly), the climax of the Rise of Villains Saga for the series as a whole. Night getting darkest just before the dawn. So I guess I want the villains to win here. (so the UA protags can bring everything back up again). I guess I’m just hoping Jeanist’s arrival doesn’t undermine everything Dabi just said, cause so much of it is true. All the stuff about Endeav is true. And Hawks did kill Twice, for the greater good no. So to have everyone just live in denial…it would undermine this whole arc. So yes, I’m rooting for the villains here.
