Whenever we are inclined to feel burdened down with the blows of life, let us remember that others have passed the same way, have endured, and then have overcome.

Computer Exploration
I grew up with the memory of us having a personal computer. I could still remember my father carrying a Pentium 1 computer in exchange to our previously owned desktop. I grew up mainly using paint and some basic games such as solitaire, hearts and minesweeper (which at that time I know I’m not good at). Until when I was in grade four, at last, we were connected to an unlimited internet. We also bought a new desktop computer alongside with us connected to the internet (we did also upgrade our desktop from Pentium one to the newer versions). Compared to my classmates in grade school, I was one of the few who had computers at home and have internet connection. I felt by then that were we kinda ahead of them in terms of computer literacy.During high school, we had a computer subject for two years. By then, I knew that I was not that literate than I thought I was. I somehow knew the very basic terms and same very basic functions of Microsoft Word and Excel. I didn’t learn that much tho (my teacher didn’t teach us so much --,).
Anyway, enough of the past, I’m once again enrolled in a computer subject. This is a different computer subject tho since I now am in college. I now learned about the history of computers in another point of view. I now knew about Steve Jobs with Steve Wozniak and Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Learning the history of Microsoft and Apple gave another impact on me using what they had created.
I also had the chance to explore and discover other functions that Microsoft Word, Excel and Popwerpoint could do. Aside from the different computer jargons (terms used in the computer world) that I previously and newly encountered, I also learned that these programs could perform so much more than what I knew. I had the chance to do mail merge and tracking changes and comments in Microsoft word which I had never done before. I had the opportunity to make a personalized calendar in Microsoft Excel withhad inspired me to make my very own personalized calendar and am amazed of what Microsoft PowerPoint could offer to its users.
So far, my experience with this subject has been such a learning experience. It’s good to know more of what we already have. Sometimes, we take computers for granted and forget how they came about. Technology has been changing constantly and we need to cope and become knowledgeable to the technology around us. Computer subjects in school provide a decent help in these coping and learning of the history and advancement of our technology. In the end of the day, we are the ones who use these technologies and these technologies are made especially for our use and advantage.
Have a happy everydays <3
