During this chapter I used many programs in the new media material and I benefited by knowing some important details in writing and publishing in these applications:
Tumbrl:
I learned how to write a summary of new topics that keep abreast of developments these days and search for information from many sources and try to reformulate them as I understand and also benefited from one system in all articles in terms of title and history.
Tumblr media
    twitter:
In the Twitter application I learned many things that helped me to control most of the features like: using images, using links, writing Hashtag, making voting or putting the site in tweet. I also write down what I want in short.
Tumblr media
 Instagram:
In this application I learned how to choose the best picture suitable for the subject and write a single line expressing what is in the image . I used this application the advantage of the site and put Hashtag.
Tumblr media
  Snape Chat:
I took advantage of snaps to take pictures of my life activities and put a comment on them to reach a certain message.

With the advent of these means has been associated with the emergence of social and professional ethics that govern the way the work and how to deploy within these applications.
Ethics is divided into two parts:
First: the ethics of Internet use between the user and himself.
They are drawn to the general religious and moral conscience of self-observation, so that these kinds of problems can be overcome. Like:
1.  Self-respect.
2. Do not expose yourself to dangers.
3. Doesn't look at the taboo and all that is useless.
4. Do not waste time when using the network.
5. Do not harm the body and give it due rest.

Either with the device or with other people. It is the section that can enact laws, but the main focus of the application of these laws is the personal factor. For example:
1.      Respect for the intellectual property of others, such as placing the source of information and image and jealousy in the context of use and documenting it.
 2.      Not steal or copy the work of others such as creative works or programs and plans and so on.
On the professional side, the user should know some tips such as:
1. Read the forum rules and guidelines for chat rooms and the forum in general.
2.   Be careful not to use your full name lest it be exploited in the wrong way.
  3.  Do not exceed the topics required for the forum, and do not use any expressions that are inappropriate or immoral.
 4. Do not engage in immoral topics.

The relationship of free national education to development
Written by: Ahmed Al-Abri Tuesday, November 21, 2017
Like what is known, the Omani government provides free university education to Omanis in most of its universities and colleges.
Free university education is a part of development that benefits the state، The government needs Omani manpower with experience and knowledge to manage government jobs well.
If we assume that the government imposed the money paid by the citizen to study in universities, many will refuse to do so and prefer to look for work instead of studying،
This creates another problem: business will be run by people who do not have experience. The acquisition of experience and skill necessary to carry out the work affects the course of development, as the work will be conducted in inadequate manner, causing problems within government institutions such as: slow work, and not keep pace with technological developments.
The state needs Omanis with specific skills. Some of these skills cannot be learned within the state. To develop these skills, the state sends student students through scholarships to study these disciplines and then return to the country to work according to what they have learned.
That every state spent to educate citizens is basically the development of the country, no country can develop without its citizens as the increase in the level of education among citizens increases the speed of development.
To make the country sophisticated and managed by Omani people, the government must provide them with education so that they can manage the state properly and ensure the country's development.

Arabization of English in Social media
Written by: Ahmed Al-Abri Tuesday, October 24, 2017
Social media applications and programs allow users to communicate continuously and continuously with their friends and followers, but they affect several aspects of our lives, directly or indirectly. The downside of these influences is the influence in language.
Users of these tools fall into many errors, unintended abbreviations on words, inserting letters in words with repetitions, and writing words and sentences without space between them due to the limited space allowed in some applications. The errors in which users "Arabization of English" are the writing of Arabic words in English characters, or vice versa, and reflected negatively on the skills of the two languages with the user.
One of the reasons for these errors is the use of many social networking programs or pages at the same time, making the user write short phrases quickly but lacks language and dictation as well as the user feels that his functions are not formal and does not require the importance of using Arabic grammar and avoid ridicule of others, This makes linguistic errors increase.
Examples of the impact of social media means the emergence of some abbreviated words have been abbreviated briefly such as:
BRB (برب) , which means Be Right Back.
TIT (تيت), which means: Take Your Time
LOL (لول), which means: loud laughter.
SYS (سيس), which means: See You Soon

Twitter changing its terms of services
Written by: Ahmed Al-Abri
Tuesday, October 17, 2017
Twitter  make some minor adjustments to the terms of service only for users outside of the United States starting in October, which seems to have caused many users to resent.
The disquieting item is Twitter's right to provide user content on any of its services to organizations, companies and individuals without the user being compensated for using the original content it publishes.
The item  say "You agree that this license includes the right of Twitter to provide, promote and improve the Services and to make content published through the Services available to other companies, organizations and individuals for purposes of citation, transmission, distribution, promotion or dissemination of such content on any medium or services, To use this content ".
The item adds "Such additional use by Twitter or other companies, organizations and individuals may be made without payment to you of any financial settlement relating to content you publish, broadcast or make available through the Services."
Hundreds of users interacted with their comments by commenting on or rejecting it, making it clear that it was not a new item and was commonplace in social networks.
The TechCrunch website explains that news organizations and other companies and individuals can already use the content on Twitter, as this content is generally considered to be "fair use".
Changes that will take effect with the new Terms of Service include the right of the Company to remove content that violates the Terms of Use, its right to freeze or cancel the user's account, or to provide it with some or all services at any time for or without reason, Committing "unlawful conduct".
The new amendments included the removal of certain provisions of the previous agreement, especially those relating to the limits of liability, which say, "You understand and agree that the services are available to you as they are and according to availability."
The clause that says Twitter has no direct or indirect liability for any damages or loss For your profile, revenue, or data as a result of using Twitter services.
I think that part of these terms set by Twitter is in the interest of users, It is noted that there are many false accounts in Twitter, and that many people violate the laws and deserve to be a closed account, and these conditions guarantee the right of the individual when someone violates illegally, but the use of what the individual publishes may conflict with the privacy of the individual.

How Omanis perform national identity on social media
Written by: Ahmed Al-Abri Tuesday, October 10, 2017
Many Omanis perform national identity on social media by posting an image or writing a Facebook post or sending a tweet in Twitter, all of them are interested in Oman by putting the flag of the country or a picture of the map or using the colors of the flag, which are green, red and white.
Some also publish messages of thanks and gratitude to His Majesty and spread them on social networking programs such as Facebook and Twitter, It is noticeable that Omanis change the profile picture on every national occasion as an expression of patriotism, such as the National Day or the Renaissance.
As they reject any abuse come to the homeland from any party internal or external, so we find that the Omani respond to those abuses collectively but in a respectful manner. Moreover, they are proud of the achievements of the country or achieved by a member of the nation and publish the news of those achievements in social networking sites.
In Twitter, the Omanis set a specific Hashtag, to spread national praise, Hashtags abounds in national events, in which people publish pictures and tweets that express their love for the country.
In Instagram some famous accounts are doing a contest for the best national image, for example, some of them share a picture of a child dressed in Omani dress and holding the flag of Oman, Some publish their own photo along with the flag of Oman or anything else that indicates the homeland.

Political satire
Written by: Ahmed Al-Abri Tuesday, October 03, 2017
Political satire is satire that specializes in gaining entertainment from politics; it has also been used with subversive intent where political speech and dissent are forbidden by a regime, as a method of advancing political arguments where such arguments are expressly forbidden.
Political satire is usually distinguished from political protest or political dissent, as it does not necessarily carry an agenda nor seek to influence the political process. While occasionally it may, it more commonly aims simply to provide entertainment. By its very nature, it rarely offers a constructive view in itself; when it is used as part of protest or dissent, it tends to simply establish the error of matters rather than provide solutions.
One example is "Maurice Joly's 1864 pamphlet entitled The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquie, which attacks the political ambitions of Napoleon III. It was first published in Brussels in 1864. The piece used the literary device of a dialogue between two diabolical plotters in Hell, the historical characters of Machiavelli and Montesquieu, to cover up a direct, and illegal, attack on Napoleon's rule. The noble baron Montesquieu made the case for liberalism; the Florentine political writer Machiavelli presented the case for cynical despotism. In this manner, Joly communicated the secret ways in which liberalism might spawn a despot like Napoleon III. However, The Prince itself has also been sometimes understood as political satire."
In modern era, political satire includes pamphlets and newspaper articles, cartoons can also be used.

The use of social media in Oman
Written by: Ahmed Al-Abri Tuesday, September 26, 2017 The population of the Sultanate of Oman uses the means of social communication in various forms, including negative or positive. The positive side   Number key players in Muscat have emerged in the form of Facebook groups that attract membership numbers well into the thousands and are fast growing in power and influence. In these virtual societies, Oman’s residents can often find the solution to almost any question that may pop into their head, find the best place to obtain a particular service or share any recent positive or negative experiences. They can also share news and information at the touch of a button. Within seconds, their views are disseminated across the country and beyond, popping up on people’s news feeds. Which gives people behind the keyboards on these forum’s extraordinary reach and power without even leaving their homes or offices.
Moreover, the ministries use social media such as Twitter to communicate with the public to respond to their queries or complaints … For example; the ROP account reacted positively with what is published in the media of errors or problems.
In academic study writing by Saba Mahmood from Nizwa College of Applied Sciences, say: 72% of Omani students agreed that social networks were an effective e-learning tool. 28% denied that social networks could function as e-learning tools. 72% who were in favor felt that e-learning saved time. The negative side On the negative side, social media in Oman helped to spread rumors, also these social media have to be disciplined as it can lead to distraction from education. Social media also negatively affect direct social communication among the public. In recent times, there has been an increase in e-extortion, This is due to the lack of awareness of some members of society in using the means of social communication correctly and security. - I think the positive side is dominated by the negative side of the use of social media in Oman; It is clear that the use of communication in Oman has become a part of everyone’s life, and communication between society and government has become faster and greater in the means of social communication.
