Today marks the 70th anniversary the United States dropped the first nuclear weapon used in war on Hiroshima, Japan. After seeing the destruction it caused personally this past summer, I can only hope and insist that we move towards a nuclear free world. While some may argue war is necessary, wars can be won without nuclear power and complete destruction. The bomb did not kill the majority of people instantly - in fact it caused a very painful death for those it touched for days, months, and years after the fact.
