Aho Niranjana ! ...are the words that King Janaka speaks, when the realization dawns on him, while listening to the Saint - Ashtavakara (in the Ashtavakra Gita). For me Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) and the knowledge that he imparts spark that realization ! Seeing his photos, videos and reading his knowledge make me go deeper within myself and grow spiritually. I hope my sharing of these photos, videos and quotes will make you go deeper too and spark a feeling of belongingness with the divine ! If you have a photo that you would like to share on this blog, then please email me at [email protected] To learn more about the Art of Living and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar please visit http://www.artofliving.org

A photo of Guruji at Shiv Samudra falls restored by me ! I love this photo a lot ! Its one of its kind.
The single MOST difficult restoration of my life and probably the most satisfying and fulfilling as well ! Here is the story behind it: I went to Bangalore on one of my vacations and stayed at the Ashram there (The Art of Living ashram). It is a beautiful place. While I was there I was sorting and organizing photographs of our dear Guruji - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The photographs were so amazing and I was so tempted to steal some of the photos but I didnt :( My conscience just wouldn't allow it. I felt that I was given the opportunity to work in that department (very few will be allowed) and that I shouldn't abuse that chance given to me.  While sorting and organizing the archives (which I love to do !) I found this photograph and instantly fell in love with it. It was in a very sad state - it was heavily damaged by water and some other stuff and there was only one copy of this photo and this was it. I didnt have access to any resources like a scanner and/or a laptop so I begged Sangeeta (who worked at the Admin at that time) and took special permission to take this photo back to Bombay as I was sure I could restore it ! I was allowed to "borrow" the photograph, and take it back to  Bombay . Once back in Bombay, I scanned it in high resolution (1200 dpi)  and restored it using Photoshop. I sent back the original copy to Bangalore along with the restored copy. Of course I saved me a copy too ;)  Later on I found out that Sangeeta was no longer managing the archives :( I hope whoever received my mail (with the original photo) took good care of it and filed it in the archives ! Nevertheless I have a copy of it too - scanned in my computer ! Some might say I did this, but I know that when "I" was doing it, it was some other force moving through me and doing all the restoration - I was merely the instrument - It felt amazing ! I love this and never displayed it publicly before because it was close to my heart and I was a little selfish and wanted to keep the experience only to myself - but doing that is more selfish, so I am sharing this with all of you'll. I hope you will appreciate this more now that you know the history of the photo. Very, very very few people have seen this photo until now  !!! Soak it all in !
Jai Guru Dev !
