D-1. Still, I self-cared, and these are dome records of my day — I nourished myself, kept my body in motion, and unpacked.

April 19, 2023 — After a morning of [frugal] cooking.

Food pics are easier when the food itself is this enticing and attractive. These rolls were delicious to boot. While I am not a fan of rolls (too much add-ons, including nutrient-free rice) I wanted Penelope to enjoy all that she was looking forward to at Yama. Equipped not only with four orders of rolls (we polished off every plate) but with an excellent hazy pale ale for me, and hot sake for P, we returned to Ladd's Addition happy as a clam. A fireplace and CBD-laden joint rounded out our evening.

So, food pictures. That is what this post is about, as it breaks a permafrost of absence. Now that I am back in San Francisco to my relatively limited diet and budget, the food subject to be objects may not be as drool-inducing or candy for the eye. But I will try my best.
