Sexism in social media
The most common place in the world to find forms of sexism is on social media. Social media sites offer a unique level of privacy, meaning you can come up with a fake name that you will not be recognized by in the real world. Perhaps it is because of that ability, that people feel they can say whatever they please and not have to deal with the repercussions. But for many women, social media has become a place of fear and insecurity about being ones self. I can’t speak from a women’s perspective, but I can say that I do see what it can be like. I have two sisters and see what a simple comment can do to someone. The worst part being that more often than not people aren't even commenting on the thought that was originally posted, but rather that it was posted by a women. This is the most ridiculous and backwards way of thinking that I believe needs to be filtered out of social media, and our world.

We must focus on the men. We must be demanding that the men step forward and take responsibility, whether they think they are the good guy or not.
