I have entitled this blog "broken bridge" because in this world, there's really a thing that will stop the connection of people with different status in life.

Poor

Do you label others as poor when they can't buy iphones? Or when they can't buy gucci products? Or when their clothes are second hand? Sometimes, we misunderstood person's ability or status in life just because of physical appearance, of how they act in public or when there's people around. We should remember that there are people who act as if they are poor, of they don't have that much money but when you look into their wallet, they can buy the whole you. On the other hand, there are people who act as if they are rich because of their clothes, their watches, their shoes but when you look closely to their lives, they sacrifices their parent's money in order to fit in the environment they are with.

We should know who are poor, how and when we can label them poor. What are the charasteristic of poor? If you'd ask me their characteristic, they are people who can't fit in the standard set by society like good houses, nice clothes or food that won't make them hungry.

There are people who are poor because they are lazy, instead of searching a job they just sit in their house and relaxing. On the other hand, The unemployed blaming the goverment because of their system that lead to poverty. They only prioritize the foreigners to look for a job like the chinese they allow their to work here so the filipinoes can't find a job because they have no slots for a job that's why they are blaming the government

Who are mostly poor? Women are the mostly poor because the men are more adventurous than women they think widely than women, in the past women are just nothing to them, they only do houseold chores and caring their husband. I watched a documentary vid that the children of oldwoman leave her because they think that she is useless.

We are always asking if when will our fate change

We are always questioning why life is so hard

We are always questioning why the world is unfair

We are always complaining on the life we have.

But...

When will we stop relying on luck?

What's your definition of poor?

Is it if people can't buy iphones?

If people can't buy Gucci bags?

If people can't it eat at starbucks?

The problem in us is we label the person poor immediately if they didn't reach our standards. If we ranked ourselves, if they are below us, we think that they are poor but let us remember that things change. Through the years, the value of money is becoming small because of the prices of things around us. If we compare today and before, there's literally a big change when it comes to prices.

Aren't people just want to save? To be thrifty? To be practical because nowadays, when you always grab your money and buy things, you can't live in this world. It is hard to live in everyday life because things are expensive.

But how do we define poor?

They are the people who can't live at the standard set by society.

I said earlier that the problem is we label the person poor immediately if they don't reach our standard. You may think that they are contrast but there is a difference in our own standards to the standards of society because our own standard, as what I've mentioned earlier, if they are just below us, we think that they are poor. In the standard of society, it is the "normal" way of living, basic needs, and money that matters.

There are things that the society considers when knowing if a person is poor or not.

House that is decent and can protect them in some disasters.

Basic needs just like clothes that is pleasant to the eye and not damaged, food that really can satisfy their hunger.

Money that can buy their needs and also some wants.

And if they don't reach those? We call them poor. But as what I've mentioned at the first part, we will answer your whys and whens.

Why people are poor?

As what they say, it's not your fault when you are born poor but it is your fault when you die poor. Poor can have 2 mindsets but first I'll tell you a story.

There are two siblings that their mother dies and their father are always drunk. They are poor. One time their friend, that they played with on their childhood came and visited them after 19 years. He went to the first born in two siblings, his house are filled with many bottle of beers

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm fine, don't mind me," the first born said.

"What happened to you?" the friend said

"If you have a father like mine, what can you expect for?"the first born said.

He went to the second born child in two siblings. The second born lives in a very good house, he looks really rich. He shaked hands with the friend with a smile on its face.

"Hey, how are you?" the friend said.

"I'm fine" the second born said.

"How can you be this rich?" The friend said

"If you have a father like mine, what can you expect for?"

They have the same answers to their friend but different meaning and that's the reason why people are poor. They have different views in life, the positive and negative. Negative thinkers are mostly to become poor because they don't look on the bright side and never think that they can change. Humans also are lazy, like the first born. Instead of finding jobs for himself, to feed himself, he just sits there, drinking and complaining. Let us remember that don't complain when you don't do things that will make you stop complaining. Complaining won't help nor questioning why the world is unfair.

Let us also look on the other side. It's not just about the people in the community but those who manages the community. We can see that most people are hard working, we can actually be a testimony for them but still they are poor. They work hard, many sweets are being produced by their skin, they have hands with callous but still they remain poor. If they are hard working but the government don't find a way to reach people out, to help them, making them out of poverty won't happen. If government can't find a way to decrease the prices and to produce things like grains without importing or without having a debt, we will remain poor.

Another reason is that people that are more fortunate are being prioritize when it comes to jobs. Unfortunate people do not have the chance to apply in jobs that they want and probably can fit for them. If a person does not finish college or highschool, he/she won't get the job she want even if it fits for his or her skills and ability. Sometimes, even just a janitor, the standard is graduated in college that's why, it is si hard to lift them from poverty.

When will you stop being poor?

When you stop believing in luck.

When you stop complaining.

When you stop questioning.

All those things won't help. Instead of spending your money to lottos, spend it to more valuable things. In spending your money on lottos, you won't realize that you can save all those money you spend. Instead of using those money to apply for jobs, they tend to spend it for lottos. As what I've said earlier that complaining and always questioning won't help unless you do actions.

We all know that men are more muscular than women, that they are likely to find ways to live, they can do things that women sometimes can't do. That's why most of women are poor. If there's still a father in a house, sometimes, they can still eat with decent foods but when there's only a mother in the house, they are more like to become poor because they tend to only seek for help. As we can see on the street, women beggars are most likely to see while men, sells anything to feed them.

We can also see on the street that children are the ones who seek for help, who seek for money because they can't do anything. Their ability and skills won't fit to jobs offered by community because they are still childrens. Their age, also, can't fit for the jobs they want to apply. All they can do is to seek for money to people around them or showing their singing, dancing, drumming skills when they are in a jeep, a Philippine vehicle.

The roots of all those who are hardworking but not being out of poverty is the nation itself. As what I've said, if they are industrious but there is no chance given by the government for them, they will be poor, nation will be poor.

Don't engage yourself in activities that won't benefit good to you. Always study hard and don't givd up on struggles in life that is given on us instead make them as a thing that will make you strong. Don't let anything stop you from what you want and what you achieved. There are people who are poor but lifter up from poverty because of thekr sacrifices and hard work. Always have hop and trust in the Lord.

In today's blog, we are going to tackle about sex, yes sex but you should not worry. We are going to dig what what is love and lust in sex. I am going to talk about the profound meaning of sex, not the superficial meaning of it.

In today's generation sex is normalized. Yes, sex is normal but the problem is even the kids, aged 5 and above knows it. They can shout the tagalog word of sex publicly or in the street. If someone is with a guy or a girl, regardless of them being friend only or being in a relationship and kids on the street saw them, they shout tagalog word of sex towards them publicly, without knowing them personally, they shout nasty words to people on the street if they are with opposite sex which can make the two people shy or pissed. Should we blame them? Maybe the reason why they knew or learned how to talk things like that is because of the society we live in today. Their peers, social media or also even a random kid like them on the street.

Social media. Another factor is social media. Facebook, Instagram and other social medias have age restrictions but we can't stop the iGen/GenZ (ages 8-25) and even Gen Alpha (ages 1-7) using it as early as 7 year old. According to actforyouth.net, 9 out of 10 teens, aged 13-17 use social media platforms and 81 percent of teens now uses it. In short, many teens uses social media but the issue is, the middle aged people in social media, for example twitter, normalizes sex. They are proud that they had sex, they are proud that they experienced deep kissing, they are proud that they go to bars and other stuff that should not be normalized. Most men on social media are proud if they had sex with a girl, if they experienced sex many times, they even tell it to their friends. Seems like doing things like that makes them cool and famous, not thinking that they are surrounded by innocent kids, which are not innocent now.

Which is another factor of why pre-marital sex happens. What is premarital sex? pre means before, marital is marriage. In short, premarital sex is sexual activity before marriage.

TEENS

Teens mostly do pre marital sex. Even at the age of 13, teens could do that. Peer pressure is a reason of why teens do PMS. Teens are not only blind in terms of love but also blind in terms of friendship. Sometimes in life, we really make a mistake in choosing our friends. We choose happiness over right, we choose popularity over simple life, we choose wrong friends because we are afraid that we have no someone to stick to. That's why peer pressure happens. If a teen in the squad, had sex, they tend to push their other friends too or it happens mostly when you got fake friends. They force a friend they don't like to do something bad which makes them satisfied when a person suffer from consequences that he/she didn't want to do also. Guess what? Not only by peer pressure but boyfriend/girlfriend pressure. When their partner forces them to do sex, they do not have the choice to refuse or they also badly wanted it because of the curiousty. Curiosity is also a reason. Teens knew that sex is pleasurable that's why they wanted to try it.

ADULTS

Yes, adults can also belong in premarital sex. If they are in 20's, 30's and above, if they are not married, even if they are engaged, they belong in people who do premarital sex. Rebellion, adults do PMS in order to prove to themselves or other people their independence. Media, society and pressure are connected to each other, those three affects the adults of why they do the pre-marital sex. Media, normalizes the pre-marital sex. If a scandal spread, they will point their fingers to the person who took the video but not those who did the sexual activity. Society which pressure one's decision in life. They will probably say "hey, that's normal," "yuck, you are rot" things that will affect the desicion of a person. Since they are aging, they think that not having "experience" make them older that's why they choose to lose their virginity to fit the expectation of society even if it will bring down their dignity.

There are things that happiness don't last, just like pre marital sex. Yes it maybe fun at the beggining and when it is happening but "consequences" do exist. As what I've said, peer pressure can be the cause of pre marital sex, which means there is a possibility that the one who did that really don't want to do it and it can cause stress and depression while doing it or after doing it. Further effects like low grades since the attention focuses on the stress and depression, and also your focus on God or relationship in God can be lost. That's the worst thing I think that could happen to one's life because God, He's our guide. Who are we if we don't have Him? What are we if we lost connection to Him? Where are we if He's not beside us? People lost connection in God, especially when they had PMS because when they get depressed, they will blame Him for what has happened to them when in fact, it was their choice. Human's choice, human's action, human's consequences. We should remember that He will forever and ever forgive us because he love us so we should not worry. He is not the cause of why consequences happens to us. He love us, aren't he? So why he would do that? We should ask ourselves 10 times before doing things so that it won't mess our lives.

Since premarital sex is made sometimes unintentionally, made out of lust and etc, separation may happen which mostly affects the child.

Let us dig deeper.

That's not only how things happen. There are consequences that doesn't just affect yourself but even the people around you. When pre-marital sex unintentionally produces a baby, poverty can happen. Pre marital is sex before marriage right? and marriage should be planned so when premarital sex, unintentionally produces a baby, therefore they are not ready to provide and grow the baby they have. Chained to that is if the parents are schooling, they have the chance to quit because they can't provide the needs of the baby so they needed to focus on work. The effect of poverty is being theives, prostitutes and etc.

That's how pre marital affects the life of a person. It does not only have one consequence, but consequences that are chained to each other.

Connecting each other that I have said, seeing every detail of it is the effect of blurred definition of sex. We lack knowledge about sex, about how it should be done, about the purpose of sex. Our knowledge about it is only half of the whole thing about sex.

Sometimes most of teens live in a house where they think that sex is bad and embarrassing but little did they know that sex should be taught first in their houses. Parents think that they should avoid talking about sex whenever they are with their child, absolutely that is right but on the other hand, sex should be talked too when there are childrens, not in an indecent way but in a way where children will learn. Parents should know how to have a heart to heart talk with their children.

What should be taught by parents?

Purpose of sex

Teens and children should know the purpose of sex. That it is sacred and not should be done carelessly or just because your mind told you to do so. Sex is a gift from God, yes. Sex is done for preocreation, for having a baby and baby is also a gift from God too.

When does sex should be done?

Parents need also to teach it. Of course, sex should be done after marriage. Sex is enjoyable, pleasurable, and good but do not do it just because of that. Sex is don after marruage, when you have wedding ring, not engagment ring, or not when your boyfriend gave you ring that are from the sidewalks or even at the malls. Girls shouls remember that they are pleasure, that they are treasure. When you say treasure, it means very important. So girls shoud not easily give her's to his.

The reason why I have entitled this blog "a love in sex" because we should not have sex just because of lust butbecause of love. We should remember that our choice, our consequences. Sex is not a thing that is don because you wanted it, it is a thing that needs deep thinking, wisdom, knowledge before doing it.

We are in the generation where childrens are more smarter in terms of using gadgets or technology.

1970's is the start of computer age, digital age or new media age. Technology helps people to search, ascertain things which leads to development of someone's ability, skills, talents, mind through different social media platforms or apps for different technologies. There is youtube, in which there are free tutorial of anything you wanted to know since then and building your self confidence through making vlogs. There is google, if you want to know something even the symptomps of diseases and etc. in text version. There is messenger & facebook for practicing your social skills. Technology helps in making arduous tasks effortless and smooth, in just one click of your finger you can get what you want without having sweat all over your body. Technology has helped create the information revolution. On the other hand, it is also bad for the health of humans because some, don't eat for games. They forgot to eat and intentionally didn't ate because gadgets has their focus and attention. Also radiation that can be get from it which can cause cancer to humans.

As the quote says, all excess is bad.

So, is technology bad? Go on and read 'til the end.

This generation is so tech-savvy. It is nice knowing that people do know what gadgets are and how to use it but the matter is, even though a child is 4-5 year old, he knows or even masters using it. Children supposed to or should enjoy their childhood playing hide and seek/ice water/jump over the cow and other street games, playing with their friends, spending time with their family which makes kids genuinely happy but sadly, some are eaten by technology. When a baby shed tears, activated their built-in microphones in their mouth, throwing things because they don't want it, parents grabs slippers, hanger, belts, hard wood sticks and anything that they first see as a substitute for whip but now, parents hands cellphone to them for the sake of quietness and peace. Teachers are not comfortable or habituated in using powerpoints & other teacher aids using technology. They even ask students about it, in the end they use ordinary type of teaching wherein the tools are manila paper, marker, board and chalk. Elders, before, used to talk to each other more often and spend their time talking to one another face to face and not only face timing. Humans used to drink coffee while reading a newspaper or listening to radios. Humans now, can't live without cellphone. Even in the comfort room, even when eating, even in serious moments or worse is using gadgets 24/7. Simply, technology and gadgets are indispensable in human life. All I can ask is when will things go back to its origin?

When was the last time you wrote a letter for your love?

When was the last time writers wrote using type writers?

When was the last time you spend your time eating with your family with the cold wind without using gadgets?

When was the last time children used to play outdoor games?

When was the last time entertainment comes from sports, boardgames, watching movies?

When was the last time you had your life simple yet genuinely happy?

As the technology evolve, the way of living evolves too.

Life is two faced. If you have seen the other side & judged it quickly, you are doing it wrong. Let us peel the cover of technology. I have mentioned the effects of overusing technology in everyday basis of human life but I also did said the good effects of technology. Come with me as we continuously discovering each and every side of technology.

Technology makes life easier.

One example of that is the computer itself. Computer back then was named as ENIAC and was done on 1946. We can say that ENIAC is part of technology because basically it is computer but still it is not easy to use. You can use it by walking and standing, you should follow many rules in order to operate it. Years passed, the evolution of computers has made. Today's computer is easier.

Another benefit of technology is about medicine. Since human was made, even our ancestors lack of resourced when it comes to medicines. That's why when a person got sick, diseases or cancers they easily die because no equipment surround them. All they have and they can afford is herbal medicines and some equipment that aren't enough for their sickness. Luckily, we, the millennials and generation Z were born in the age of modernization. It is easy to cure cancers because machine for diseases are already in our hands. Technology also paved a way for the rise of science discovery. Scientist now has the actual pictures of galaxy, planets, moon, asteroids and other heavenly bodies. Astronaut can personally see and admire the beauty of God's creation, not only in painting but astronaut can't experience that without the use transportation.

Transportation is also part of technology, transportation is now easy. Back then, Filipinos use Kalesa for travelling but now, we have jeeps, motorcycles, cars. Through transporation we can get what we want because it is used for delivery. Business also can be done through transporation. We can ride other's car because of transportation app or what we call "grab" and etc. Businesses can be done everywhere. Robots, they are part of it. Google play is also an example. Ask what you want to ask, command what you want to command because it controls your house.

But there are questions running in my mind...

Is anyone from ancient times would have thought that super advanced technology will happen?

Do modern world makes you happy or ancient time where you live simple makes you satisfied?

If today, some are eaten by technology, how much if more centuries will come? How advance do the world will be?

On the other hand, technology won't exist if there's no God behind it. Who gave humans intelligence to make what has been made?

Technology is made for a purpose,

To enlighten one's mind

Not to destroy someone's mind.

Not to destroy someone's behavior.

Not to destroy someone's good habbits.

Not to destroy someone's relationship toward his/her loveones.

Technology has many branches in terms of its effect, it can change the behavior of a person and they can be bullied but aside from that, did this question ever crossed your mind,

"Is technology still under control of God?"

If yes, then my answer will be yes too. God controls everything. The reason why some persons are in the street, getting garbage is that because they didn't asked God

"Is my path right?"

"Is this the path you have reserved for me?"

Same goes in technology. The purpose of it is Good, it is not meant for cyber bully, watching p*rns and other wrong doings in social media. It is just that, we misuse technology, we overuse it, we misunderstood it's purpose.

He under controls technology, but the bad effects that happen to us is also cause by non other than us, we, humans ourselves.

We shouldn't forget that God sees and knows everything. He sees what we do in technologies, in cellphones, in social media platforms. Don't even think that he doesn't care about technology just because He lived many decades ago, we think that He is old but the truth is

GOD IS OMNIPRESENT

We should base everything that we do in God's scripture. Not because something is in trend, we should do the same. Not because that's how they use technology or specifically social media, we should do the same. Not because we used to do something like doing bad things in social media means we have no chance to change. Change is the only constant. According to Romans 12:2, be transformed in the renewing of thalamus. Basically, thalamus is the place for addiction, some is addicted to p*rns, or addicted to games or anything that s connected in technologies, but still thalamus can be trained and we have the chance to change.

Change comes from ourselves not what others wants to change for ourselves. Know who are worth following. Know which person helps you to go to the path where God wants you to go because that person is important.

You only live once, they said. The life of our loved ones has limit and sadly, we don't know when. We should spend our time wisely,

Wisely with our parents

Wisely with our family

Wisely with our friends

Help yourself get up and don't be a loser when your opponent is just technology. Don't let your system be eaten by it. Don't let modernization invade your privacy in life. Never go with the flow.

Time spent in your family and in God is worth more than the time wasted from technology.

First and foremost, before using technologies, ask and consult yourself...

Do I need this?

Will this help me grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually?

What is my purpose in using these?

What can I get from these?

What possible habits of mine can be taken away by this?

What possible habits can I adapt from this?

Lastly, surround yourself of things that will help you grow. Make sure that using technologies will help in developing yourself so that you can be a better person. Another impact of technology is that, when you watch horror movie, yes, it has thrill but it brings fear. Absolutely, horror movies do have spirit that's why we are scared. Fear refuses your faith in God. When you are in fear of other things, the tendency is that you will be afraid to try it. For example, you are afraid of going to the comfort room alone because you watched horror movies, you will forget your faith in Lord. You will forget to remember that "God is with me, why do I need to fear?"

Now let me ask you.

Some people will bring you down in order to put themselves above you. Sometimes, you feel like you're alone in your journey. Sometimes, you will question yourself:

"Am I in the right path?"

"Is this the path that You have reserved for me?"

Sometimes, your anxiety and unbelief in yourself and in the Lord will attack you and it seems like your feet won't stand in the stage of success but if you believe in Him, if you have faith in him?
