A collaboration between myself, @rinkobayashi107, @veradevotus, @joccysolislad, and Ella Cerisier.

The five of us will collaborate together on MC-Insert fanfiction including one-shots, a full story, text memes, pictures, and more.

All five of us have a great deal of love and passion for this game, and became friends because of it. As such, we've decided to come together on this project for fun and to have a good time (while engaging in some delulu behavior).

Meet Aiko's frenemy, Vera Devotus

𝙼𝙲 𝙵𝚒𝚕𝚎 - 𝚅𝚎𝚛𝚊 𝙳𝚎𝚟𝚘𝚝𝚞𝚜

Evol - [REDACTED] N/A Job - Archivist, Detective

𝙰𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎 Vera is a 27 year old, 5 foot 8/172cm tall Hispanic woman with dark brown hair. Her eyes are a deep Hazel green color (identical to Zayne’s color) with curly/wavy hair. Her hairstyles range from color and length depending on the occasion. Vera wears glasses except for photos or while in combat, where she’ll switch to contacts. Her slim frame and height seem awkward holding her claymore, but people have mentioned how curiously lithe she is in the field. People would state she “looks tired all the time”.

𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢

Vera is the definition of a “social butterfly”, which surprises people the most when they meet her outside of the office. She has ADHD and will endlessly talk to anyone willing to listen to her rambles. Vera’s love for art and music make her come off as “snooty” and to some annoying. Her bright, always smiling persona makes her seem unfazed by these comments and tropes about her; though she truly feels rejection deeply. In public, she’s the bright eyed gal. At work, Vera strides to keep her paperwork in order and considered “a hard-ass” to her subordinates. 

In private she struggles with her need to please others, her need to constantly improve, and the toll of working for UNICORN.

𝙷𝚎𝚛 𝙿𝚊𝚜𝚝

Vera lived near the edge of Whitesand Bay as a child and had a considerably normal childhood. Vera lost her home during the tsunami in Linkon, meeting Rafayel by chance that faithful day (though she will deny forgetting their first meet).

Her time training in the Hunter’s Association was especially difficult as she failed the exam two times before finally passing. Her scores behind the claymore were extraordinary, however she barely passed the rest of the EVOL tests. Due to [REDACTED], Vera was placed in the Archives Department of UNICORN where she worked, slowly unraveling the secrets behind’s UNICORN’S involvement with EVER. After the explosion, fate would set her on the path to finding out her team’s truths and UNICORN’s lies. 𝙳𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚢 𝙻𝚒𝚏𝚎

Job - Vera mainly works among UNICORN’s large library and archive building, however when she is assigned a Recon mission she always arrives early. - During large holiday or Office Events, she is considered the president of the Hunter’s Union and will work Overtime to ensure the event runs smoothly. During those times, she will have dark circles around her eyes.

Life - Vera will speak fast when speaking about her favorite subjects, like art exhibits or newly released music. - Vera is known to constantly pushing up her glasses while working or reading, she refuses to fix it as she finds Rafayel’s gesture to adjust them endearing and wishes for him to do it more. - Vera is always eating/drinking something, be it a snack or a full fledged meal. She avoids white clothes due to be secretly messy. - Vera hates children (but would never say it out loud). - It’s rumored that Vera does have an EVOL but refuses to disclose any information, her records indicate. her evol might be [REDACTED] - Vera had initially refused Rafayel’s offer to be a personal bodyguard. After a certain orange cat was gifted, they have been spotted regularly in town. Her Likes - Breakfast is her favorite meal at any time of the day. - Had a fever after getting caught in the tsunami caused her to forget her time with Rafayel as kids, he reminds her whenever he is angry about her almost broken promise. - She secretly learned Lumerian from his Aunt Talia on the weekends so she can whisper to him during their intimate moments. -Most forget that Vera is multilingual and can speak English, Spanish and even some Japanese. -Vera is known to be a night owl but will sleep the day away if left to her own devices, she has missed many meetups due to her deep sleeping.

Joccy Solis is a 23-year-old Latina woman who stands 160 cm tall. Her soft, medium tan skin carries a warm glow on her face, and her long, dark brown hair frames her face in gentle waves. Her eyes are dark and expressive, conveying both her calm nature and underlying strength. Joccy is petite but packs a quiet power in her presence, with a build that speaks to resilience and subtle grace.

She usually wears glasses but opts for contacts when she's out in more formal settings. She loves accessories, so she wears simple, sentimental jewelry, often pieces that hold personal meaning from her close relationships. Whether it's a charm bracelet from her family or a necklace from a close friend or loved one, she would value it forever.

PERSONALITY

Joccy is quiet and thoughtful, often keeping her emotions close to her chest. She is introspective but intensely loyal, especially to those she cares about. Though naturally reserved and usually shy in larger crowds, her bond with those she’s closest to reveals her deeper, more vibrant side. While Rin, Aiko, and Ella shone with effortless confidence and energy, Joccy often felt more like a quiet observer at the edges of the group, offering her loyalty and care in more silent, less obvious ways. Still, she shows affection in small, thoughtful ways: often, she brings handmade gifts or little tokens for her classmates during their time at Deepspace Hunters Academy, showing her care in gestures rather than words.

Her secret strength lies in her creativity, which she channels into her work as a Deepspace Hunter. Joccy specializes in illusion-making, blending her artistic ability with her Illusion Evol powers to craft intricate deceptions that protect and shield her team during dangerous missions. Her creative mind gives her an edge in battle, allowing her to think on her feet and adapt to rapidly changing situations.

Despite her calm, reserved nature, Joccy is not afraid to act when needed, especially when protecting her loved ones. She is deeply affected by loss and trauma, particularly the recent tragedies of losing Aiko and Rin, which have shaped her into someone who doesn't shy away from facing the harsh realities of life. She carries her grief silently, allowing it to fuel her determination to stay strong for others.

HER STORY

Growing up in the bustling city of Linkon, Joccy Solis learned early what it meant to be overlooked. Amid the endless noise and bright lights, she was invisible in a world too busy to slow down. Though well-meaning, her parents were often consumed by their work, leaving Joccy to raise herself in many ways. She filled the quiet spaces of her childhood with drawing, painting, and dreaming, creating worlds where she could be seen, understood, and loved without fighting for it.

But life outside her art was harsher. Friendships in her youth were fleeting and often shallow, leaving Joccy wary of getting too close. When she did open up, her quiet nature, dry humor, and brutally honest observations often alienated others who didn’t understand her. Over time, she learned to smile politely in public, keep her true thoughts guarded, and save her real self: sarcastic, funny, deeply empathetic, for the few who earned her trust.

For much of her teenage life, Joccy Solis thought she knew exactly who she was meant to become. She thought she could become a renowned artist in Linkon City. Accepted into one of Linkon's most prestigious art schools, she pursued her passion: studying design, visual storytelling, and moviemaking. Her professors praised her imagination and ability to see the world differently, but inside, Joccy felt a quiet restlessness that art alone couldn't fill. Her art school professors often spoke about the secluded artist Rafyael with awe, describing him as a visionary who seemed to possess intimate knowledge of the world's unseen truths. Though Joccy never met him, his legend lingered in the back of her mind: a reminder that art could be more than beauty—it could be revelation. It could be a purpose.

While her classmates dreamed of fame and galleries, Joccy found herself drawn to the unseen battles beyond the skyline and the quiet stories of Hunters who protected humanity from the unknown. A calling that had always been a whisper at the back of her mind grew louder each day: She didn’t just want to create worlds—she wanted to protect this one.

After months of wrestling with the decision, Joccy made the hardest choice: She dropped out of art school, leaving behind the life she had worked so hard to build. Most people saw it as reckless — trading certainty for danger — but Joccy had never been one to chase the easy path.

She enrolled late at the Hunter’s Academy, where she was physically, emotionally, and socially behind everyone else. Many doubted whether someone like her—quiet, small, artistic—could survive the grueling trials, let alone catch up. Doubts followed her like a second skin: Could a girl who once spent her days sketching illusions on paper survive a world where illusions could mean life or death?

The first few weeks were isolating. While others clicked into study groups and sparring teams, Joccy hovered at the edges, quiet and unsure. She was the odd one: not because she wasn’t kind or capable, but because she held herself carefully apart, wary of trusting too easily. Her past experience of betrayals, which she rarely spoke of, had taught her that people’s kindness wasn’t always built to last.

Rin, the ever-optimistic one, introduced Joccy to some of her friends, and her closest ones: Zayne and Caleb. However, there was one connection that Joccy did feel drawn to: Zayne, the calm, steady presence who worked as a doctor at Akso Hospital. Rin had introduced Joccy to Zayne once before the spiral began, and though their meeting had been brief, Joccy found something oddly comforting in his presence. Zayne was a skilled healer and had an undeniable calmness that seemed to soothe those around him. He took time to listen, something that resonated deeply with Joccy. The way he handled his patients, the empathy in his eyes, made Joccy feel like there was more to life than the struggle and violence surrounding her.

Just before graduation, tragedy struck. Caleb’s death and the disappearance of Aiko sent shockwaves through the group. The events left Joccy uncertain how to help, but driven by her loyalty, she reached out to Zayne. Together, they spent late nights talking and trying to make sense of the grief that seemed to take over their circle. As the months passed and Rin spiraled further into despair and obsession, Joccy and Zayne’s connection deepened. Their bond moved from shared moments of silence to genuine conversations about their struggles. Joccy began to open up to Zayne in a way she hadn’t with anyone else. It wasn’t just about loyalty anymore; Joccy had seen how much Rin and Ella had been affected and couldn’t stand to watch them hurt any longer.

As the months passed, Joccy could no longer stand on the sidelines. Her quiet support had been just that—silent. But the desire to help Rin and Ella, who were tirelessly searching for Aiko and seeking answers about the explosion that took Caleb, began to weigh heavily on Joccy’s heart. Still, her loyalty to Rin, whom she'd known for years, and to Ella, who had become a close friend despite Joccy’s reticence, pushed her to decide.

Rin had never fully known the depth of Caleb’s death and the painful consequences of that event, nor had she understood the full scale of the explosion and its mysterious connection to the Onychinus and the Farspace Fleet. Joccy couldn’t stand by any longer, knowing Rin was still chasing. While she understood the gravity of what they were asking, her inner strength—the same strength that had guided her through years of being quietly loyal—made the choice clear: she had to join them. She had to find Aiko and help Rin uncover the truth, especially about Caleb.
