This is turning into a day of rants, but HOLY HELL, GUYS!

We all know this iconic Wangxian scene in ep45, right?

Where Wei Wuxian gets ready to turn himself into a lure, wearing one of the esteemed Hanguang Jun's undershirts, right?

Well. I just saw a bts video (link), where Yu Bin, Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are sitting together and talking, obviously having a break from filming what I am pretty sure is one of the scenes of the Burial Mounds 2nd siege. At one point, Yibo just casually lifts his skirt hems, and I just froze. Because he's wearing black underpants.

I just had to take this screencap (sorry op, this was a scientific necessity), because Lan Wangji is wearing black underpants with his white outfit, neatly tucked into his white brocade boots 😶! And Lan Wangji has never worn black. But we know who does. wear. black. underpants.

I went through the fight scenes at the Burial Mounds in episodes 44 and 45, hoping to get a glimpse of Hanguang Jun's underpants (😊), but no such luck, unfortunately. The closest I got to an "in show" confirmation was this shot, where some of his layers have been moved to the side, and something dark is visible through the remaining ones.

So, if that is enough of a proof (I think the bts is pretty irrefutable, though) it seems that during these epic events...

...it is not just Wei Wuxian wearing Lan Wangji's shirt, but Wangxian are wearing each other's underware! Guys!

So there seems to be no doubt that at this point in the Untamed, by the Second Siege of the Burial Mounds, Lan Wangji has definitely gotten into Wei Wuxian's pants 🥰. (Well, they had the night at the Jingshi in ep43...💞).

Oh Lan Qiren, it seems you only know half of it 😁.

To be honest though, I have to wonder if that was intentional from the part of the production team. Because if this is a 'Wangxian easter egg', wouldn't they have shown it? At least a peak during a fight? Or did I just miss it? But on the other hand, how could that not be intentional? "Oh no, we do not have pants for Mr. Wang, let's just borrow some from Mr. Xiao's wardrope" does not sound very plausible. Was it an inside joke, perhaps? One of the unanswered mysteries of CQL.

GG’s Japan Trip : Why it’s my Favorite out of all BJYX candy/rumor/theory.

To put it simply, there is something about this trip that screams ‘protagonist-of-an-indie-film-gets-away-to-realize-something-about-love’ which is very on brand for GG. All the deep thinking in between eating ramen and sashimi would have been glorious too.

When was Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji’s first kiss in The Untamed?

To answer this question, I think it’s better to reason backwards, starting from…

THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE SEX Through a mix of visual metaphors and early morning tiredness, it is hinted that Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji have have sex in episode 43. You can read the full meta here.

But we can also extrapolate how that is the first time they have sex, because it seems that, before that day, Lan Wangji has never seen Wei Wuxian naked enough to see the remaining scar from Mo Xuanyu’s sacrifice. In episode 35, when Lan Wangji enquires about the curse mark on his leg, Wei Wuxian internally thinks about the scar on his arm instead, implying that he is hiding it from Lan Wangji.

Then, in episode 42, there is a reveal about Wei Wuxian being resurrected through a Sacrificing Curse.

Soon after, Wei Wuxian gets injured and faints. He wakes up again the same day as the scene in which subtexts suggests he and Lan Wanji have sex. At this time, Lan Wangji has finally learned of the curse and exposes his scar, indicating that he had not seen Wei Wuxian significantly naked between his resurrection and helping him change after being injured in the abdomen.

Moreover the issue of Lan Wangji’s scars own scars is also resolved indirectly just before that evening, which, although correlated only emotionally and not logistically, could contribute to make it unlikely that, before then, they are intimate enough to already have had sex.

That said, if they have sex when this scene fades to black, their first kiss should be located not later than at this point in time.
