When I was younger la St Jean used to be celebrated in my hometown, around the Summer Solstice everybody gathered around a bonefire. There is different beliefs around plants gathered that day, in this illustration I choose to work on hypericum.

I see the creative process like seasons, there will be period of time where you create, others where you don’t. During the warmer season the foliage is dense and life is teeming, then during the colder season everything feels silent, and stagnating, but there is still things happening under the soil. Respect the seasons of rest.
