DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THAT IT NEVER SAYS “kai expired” AFTER HIS DEATH? every other character has a “[name] expired.” message after their execution, but kai doesn’t. he says he’s satisfied, q-taro screams his name, and then it transitions directly into the epilogue.

kai never “expired.” his wounds would be treatable in the real world, especially in a fictional world (that cell multiplying salve, anyone?). there’s absolutely a person in that room hidden behind the pink room, and it would make sense for gashu to want to save his son.

i swear to the lord almighty, kai satou is alive and he’ll be back in the ending, just y’all wait.
