During the 2020 lockdown, I was looking for sewing projects to do and I came across a Capri-Sun bag on TikTok and thought it would be cool to try it out. I used 15 and a half Capri-Sun pouches, I washed the inside and dried them before using them. To line the inside, I used extra fabric I had lying around. I had a lot of fun with this sewing project as it was my first one. On the left is a photo I used for one of my boards with the bag being used as a prop.

In autumn, I came across a tutorial on youtube for fingerless gloves and decided to try making them. These are the first crochet project I completed. My favourite part was crocheting the checkerboard pattern, it took me a while to get used to it, but I got there in the end. At the bottom are self-portraits of me modelling the gloves.

With this board, I wanted to emphasise the fairytale-ness of the original edited photo. My favourite one is the bubble one, I think it looks really cute and magical. I wanted to create a more modern fairytale as opposed to a traditional one.

With these edits, I tried to go over the top with it as the original edit already had a lot on it. For the physical edit I used pink foam stickers and pink card. For the digital edits, I just added stickers and overlays. At the bottom is the original edit before I added the others.

On this board I was able to do more edits with this photo as I hadn’t done much to it before. I did mostly physical edits as I felt they suited the photo better than digital edits. I used paper, white chalk pen, tracing paper, tissue paper and acrylic paint. I had a lot of fun with this board.

This is one of my final piece development boards. I struggled to do digital edits with this photo so instead I focused more on physical edits. For the photo in the middle I used different coloured acrylic paints to frame around the subject. Out of all the photos on the board, it’s my favourite. In the bottom corner, I added a photo from another board, it’s one of my favourite digital edits.

This is my vintage fashion photography board. My main inspiration was from a photo of my mum in the ’90s (on the right) and other photos of ’90s and 2000’s fashion. For one of the photos, I edited it to look like a 90’s Japanese magazine, and I had the most fun editing it.

I tried to go for a relaxed chic vibe with my photos; I made the most out of random food props that I could find, like crisps and cereal, to portray the carefreeness of streetwear. Since streetwear was globalised during the ‘90s, I tried to incorporate that in the editing, like double exposure in one of my photos.

This is a photoshoot I did for my coursework and it was my first attempt at surrealism photography, I think it turned out really good. For both photos I used picsart, snapseed and lightroom to edit these photos. For the top photo, I held the book with a string attached and then in snapseed I erased the string and my hand. Then for bottom one, I took photos of the books individually and then erased the backgrounds of them on picsart then pasted them all over the main photo. In lightroom, I edited both photos and added filters onto them to brighten them.

I edited the top photo using green overlays. I wanted to do a spy, cybercore inspired edit. My favourite part of the edit is the green camera focus sticker on the face. For the other two photos I used a white, black and red colour scheme to edit these photos. I layered overlays on to the photo on the right and on the left I scribbled and doodled all over the photo.

Out of all my photos, this is my favourite one. I love how the physical edit of tearing the photo turned out as well as the edit of the filter and the sparkles. It looks slightly vintage which I really like. Below are other edits I have done that I didn't like as much as I felt they didn't fit the photo.

I used tonal pencil and coloured paper for this piece, it was my first time using pencil on coloured paper. The original photo was from my streetwear photoshoot I did for one of my boards so I tried to achieve the same youthfulness of the photos in the piece.

I liked working on this piece; it was my first time using charcoal, and I had a lot of fun experimenting with which medias would work well with the charcoal the best. It helped me expand my skill set.
