Tiny Tarot Guide <3 ~ Minor Arcana

In this post, i will break done the elements of the minor Arcana. i will go over the meaning and elements of each suit as well as the roles of the cards {ace, page, king, queen, ect.} Each suit will get its own post with more details on their cards.

it is always important to remember that tarot is about intuition and what you feel the cards are saying to you, this is is just the surface information of the cards, and it is up to you on how it is interpreted.

The Suit of Cups~~{ also called, chalices, goblets, vessels.} this suit is feminine and represented by water, and deals with emotion. It represents the fluidity of out hearts, of our feelings and emotions. how quickly calm waters can become raging tides.

The Suit of Pentacles~~{ also called, coins, disks, rings} this suit is feminine and represented by earth, the physical world. how we shape our worlds with the things that are tangible. This suit can also represent our ego, or self image.

The Suit of Swords~~{ also called, blades} this suit is masculine and represented by air, and our minds. Our thoughts our inelegance invisible to the eye but still there, and still capable of making an impact on the world around us. this suit can represent the fragile balance of our intelligence. and how it can be used for both good and bad.

The Suit of Wands~~{ also called, batons, clubs, staves.} this suit is masculine and represented by fire, our spiritual energy, our creativity and strengths. wild and unpredictable like fire, it can be helpful and inspirational, but also destructive and untamed. it reflects our drive, and will power.

Ace~~ These for cards are the base of each suit. to me, it feels as if they lay the foundations. they are the whole suit, but not at the same time. they represent beginnings, optimism, and success. they are the first chapter to a new period of your life. the seed are being planted, and what becomes of them is up to you.

Two~~ these cards are your pairings, balance, forks in the road. the two cards call you too consider both sides of something, or perhaps can signify the joining of two things. of course these decisions and joining's depend on the situation and which suit the two is from.

Three~~ these cards are about growth and creation. they can be a call to action, or a sign of change or a turning point. threes are your pivotal and important moments depending on there suit.

Four~~ the fours are your stability, your foundations. it is a number about balance, and commitment. these cards are your grounding cards, your dedication. its like, the a stable point, after the hard change of the threes.

Five~~ these cards are about making change happen, or change needing to happen. life jolts back into action with the fives, weather you want it to or not. they are unpredictable, sudden, flexible, adaptive. these changes can be positive or negative based on their suit and position.

Six~~ six brings reflection, and a journey. they represent unions and departures, depending on the context and positions. they bring back the balance after the sudden change made by five. balance doesn't last, though six is a sign that things will be stable for a moment.

Seven~~ change returns with seven, but this time it is about individuality. These cards tell us to take control of a situation. the sevens can be signs of progress, or signs of things holding you back. challenges and obstacles are represented by the sevens, but these things can be over come, and these cards are here to help.

Eight~~ eight is about each suits strengths and weaknesses, based on how the challenges brought by the sevens where handled. the eights are fast paced and a time to find your inner strengths. either you feel the positive changes propel life forward, or life has grabbed you by the tail and is dragging you along weather you want it to or not.

Nine~~ these cards are the final stages of action. they ask you to reflect on life and the things you have experienced. things begin to wind down and this period of your life or situation you have been in is closing, every thing you have worked for is in sight or you missed that opportunity and it is passing by. the consequences of your actions are now taking place.

Ten~~ its the end, but also the beginning, ten makes way for new beginnings, it completes a cycle. the tens signify that as one door closes another one opens, and now you can go into this new door with everything you learned from the previous. ten asks us to use everything we learned to make better choices in the future.

Page~~ these cards represent the young and care free or it could just be someone who is feeling youthful. these four cards deal with childhood issues, messages, dreams and hopes, and can represent your inner child. when upright the page is hopeful and full of vigor, reversed can lead to disappointment.

Knight~~ the knights represent the less mature people in your life. they are about taking action, being the best you can be depending on their suit and position. these cards have a mission, and they want to take charge, or they could represent a person in your life who is encouraging you, but on the flipside it could also be someone dragging you down.

Queen~~ Each queen represents an aspect of femininity. they represent the people who nurture you in life, this is usually women, but can be men. These can be you, or other women in your life. they are the movement, and emotion of their suits. the queens encourage you to be mature and self aware.

King~~ the kings are the providers in your life, the flipside to the queens. these are the people who bring stability, and strength. these cards guide you to direct your energy in the best way to achieve your goals, or guide us on how to control or maintain the things represented by their suit.

Personal natal aspect observations. (Pt.5)

Personal planets include: sun, moon, mercury, Venus, mars and your rising (not a planet but an angle)

Moon ♋️ conjunct Mercury ♊️-

Both planets are in their home signs here. Feminine intuitition meets masculine logic. This manifests in two ways for me:

1. Overly rationalizing emotions, trying to make sense of what just naturally is.

2. Able to communicate my emotions easily through writing, singing. Even though I enjoy heart to heart conversations, I’m very shy so at times it’s hard to speak up

I’m a Highly emotionally intelligent person. I understand emotions at a great depth. I understand that emotions can’t be understood.

Moon♋️ conjunct Saturn ♋️-

As if already having Saturn in its detriment ♋️ wasn’t bad enough we have the planets also aspecting. Almost like I’m forced to learn in this life to get a grip over my emotions and femininity otherwise life will keep karmically whopping my ass. It’s about learning to balance the emotions, it’s not always a time to operate out of femininity. Sometimes discipline is needed to create order and longevity (Saturn).

Mars ♓️ trine Saturn ♋️-

When I’m truly passionate about something spiritually, and subconsciously ♓️ and I feel energetic and motivated about it (mars), I’m more likely to discipline myself (saturn) emotionally♋️ to get it done because usually my emotional nature gets in the way of my drive and discipline. Mars and Saturn come together in this way to help me create success for myself.

Mars ♓️ conjunct Uranus ♓️ (10H of career and public rep)-

My drive and ambition can only stem from my own path, independence and rebellion. I can’t work for anyone else, I’m too determined to get by myself for myself. I rather fulfill myself and work for myself. Create my own ways of making Money.

Neptune ♒️ trine ascendant ♊️-

no cocky-ish, I look like a very ethereal, dreamy person. I am a sirene, so you can see the depth of the ocean in my eyes and my face. Very psychic individual, I naturally see through the illusions and facades people have of themselves.

Chiron ♑️ 8H trine Lilith ♉️ 12H-

Healing the suppressed and karmic dark feminine wounds through discipline, security, feminity etc. constant them for me. I’m gonna dedicate a whole post to this placement cuz it’s so much more to it. Being dominated sexually and acquiring trauma from it. (Yes I am a victim of assault). Suppressing the acquired trauma and being unstable because of it.

venus biquintile pluto is a really interesting aspect. the biquintile is usually associated with creativity and the development of artistic ability, and with venus being involved, there is even more potential and a genuine love for art. the native will find happiness and connection through their creative pursuits. with pluto on the other end of the aspect, something interesting happens. there can be a tendency towards obsession; they are more dedicated and more patient, with a strong work ethic and a desire to find meaning through their art, and it can bring them real catharsis. they may discover and nurture repressed parts of themselves through their art, and overall, there is a bit of a darker theme to this otherwise light and bright placement.

moon square pluto is often given a really negative spin online; i’ve seen everything from emotionally out of control to “will abuse their children”! this just isn’t a helpful way to interpret harsh aspects. my experience with this placement is that big emotions are very frightening, often because of the native’s early experiences. they seek to “control” their emotions, which can make them quite vulnerable to impulsive or addictive behaviours. they often have a deep relationship with mother figures, and with their children, which yes, at their worst, can become enmeshed and intense. but at their best, these relationships are intimate and founded on mutual trust, long lasting and able to weather the harshest storms.

venus-saturn aspects are all about delayed gratification. the native has to grow into their loving, creative, social side, and they usually have to "grow through what they go through"; depending on the aspect, they may just feel a little different, or have no interest in relationships, or they may grow up lonely or isolated, or deal with unhealthy relationships. they have to do a lot of self-work to develop self-love and nurture the soft, creative side of themselves, before they can really feel at home around other people. but when they reach that point, they can build beautiful, devoted and ultimately very healthy connections with others, that allow all involved to really thrive.

pluto conjunct ascendant natives have a really intense gaze. i think that usually we only think of the eyes when they think of the pluto stare, but to me it goes a lot further than that; especially with the conjunction, pluto-ascendant people look with their whole body. they have the intense eye contact, sure, but they tend to also have a hard mouth and slightly furrowed brow, a certain tension in their jaws and necks. they look like a cat about to pounce in a way, you can almost see that electrical energy under their skin.

in astrology, the sextile and trine are considered to be harmonious aspects; they denote an easy, well-blended connection between the two planets involved. the sextile is steadier, and more prone to stagnation, which can look like complacency or even entitlement; the trine is more dynamic, meaning in a way, it's easier to bring out the positives of the aspect.

lilith in the tenth house is a placement that is very vulnerable when it comes to social media. nowadays, it's so normalised to post everything that it's almost radical to stay away from it, and with lilith in the tenth house, it's easy to feel validated and vindicated through what they post. unfortuntely they are easy targets for online abuse and can actually feed into and "bait" this kind of harmful interaction when hurting and angry. lilith in the tenth house needs to learn to find healthy outlets and become more reflective, less reactive.

uranus conjunct ascendant natives are bright, almost electrified. they can be prone to sudden epiphanies that show up in strange moments; sitting bolt upright in the middle of the night with a sudden realisation, for example. they can be chaotic, but when given space to breathe, they are brilliant, both in that they are clever and reflective with the energy to pull off everything they think up, and that they seem to sparkle. there is a clarity to their voice, their eyes, like they glow from within.

in this aspect, the planetary bodies are in conflict with one another. venus represents our desire for pleasure and harmony, in both love and everyday life. it rules the arts, aesthetics, luxury, as well as subjects, professions, and material items that are traditionally feminine. it’s also indicative of our sense of femininity, and the type of woman/femme-presenting person we’re attracted to, or the lighter/yin-like qualities we exhibit ourselves and are drawn to in others. mars represents our motivation, libido, and assertiveness, and how we navigate our aggression and anger. it rules war, violence, and accidents, as well as things that are deemed traditionally masculine. as venus’ counterpart, it’s indicative of our sense of masculinity, and the type of man/masc-presenting person we’re attracted to, or the darker/yang-like qualities we exhibit ourselves and are drawn to in others.

this aspect can manifest as difficulties within both intimate and platonic relationships. these natives are passionate, alluring, and magnetic, and have an outspoken quality about them that others will either appreciate or be turned off by. they refuse to be idle in the face of the things (and people) that they desire, and are inclined to act and take risks to attain what it is that they want. they also tend to struggle with their temperament, and as a result, can come off as vitriolic towards their loved ones. they could face power struggles in their relationships, and be overly-combative. this could be a side of themselves that they attempt to keep at bay, and may feel that others intentionally trigger them to express the intense emotions that they house within themselves. 

in youth, they may have felt socially awkward and struggled to relate to those within their peer group, or unintentionally offended those around them. there may have also been conflict between their parents, or some form of turbulence in the home that influenced the way that they approach relationships. the impact of these experiences can follow them into adulthood, they may not intend to be brash or even feel like they’re coming off the wrong way when interacting with those around them. ultimately, this behavior could result in them feeling ostracized or rejected, and make them feel like everyone they interact with has bad intentions or is out to get them. with age and experience, these natives eventually recognize the importance in picking their battles wisely and meeting others halfway.

these natives can also struggle in their approach to relationships. they may find that the people they’re attracted to are emotionally unavailable or don’t reciprocate their feelings, and become impulsive and date people they aren’t completely interested in. this can manifest in the opposite way as well, they may be slow to commitment and be very picky in terms of selecting a partner. they could also find that they struggle with “timing” in their relationships, as in not being able to pursue their person of interest due to schedule conflicts, or their sex drives being inconsistent with their partner’s. when they do find themselves in a relationship, they can turn to picking fights in order to find stimulation (venus square mars is dubbed the “fuck or fight” aspect for a reason). they can be prone to jealousy or possessiveness towards their partners, or could enjoy when their partners behave this way towards them. this can also result in a “madonna/whore complex,” they may view their person of interest solely in a sexualized way, or solely in a romantic way. this perspective can also be imposed upon them by their partners as well.

others can find them to be emotionally distant at times, as they may require space to be able to show up in their relationships in a healthy way. they may find more fun in “the chase” and enjoy pursuing someone who plays hard to get. they can be attracted to people they want to “tame” in a sense, or may attract people that want to do so to them. they could also find themselves attracted to people who can handle their aggressive side, or people that can take what they dish out. they would benefit from finding healthier ways to express their innate desire for competition or edge within a relationship through challenging their partners to games or sports. they can come across as “child-like,” and are usually the type to tease their partners as a means of flirting or showing affection. 

regardless of the challenging side of this aspect, this aspect grants them the opportunity to learn and grow in relation to their emotional intelligence. these natives are extremely creative and expressive. they have an intense passion for romance and can find themselves driven by their romantic and intimate pursuits. this energy is also often channeled into their creative endeavors, these natives tend to excel in the arts, and make good musicians, poets, and writers. they would benefit from partaking in physical activities such as working out or playing a sport in order to release any pent up emotion in a productive way. ultimately, their effort needs to be directed towards managing their emotions, and learning to integrate the venusian and martian energy within themselves in order to express it in a healthy, balanced way towards those around them.
