#fundLAUTECH UPDATE: ACE SUPERMARKET DONATES Yet in another show of support and belief in the #fundLAUTECH initiative, the CEO of ACE Supermarkets, Mr Yinka Afonja donated the sum of N500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only) today. While issuing a cheque for the said amount, he empathized with the over 30,000 students of LAUTECH who have had to bear the brunt of the closure of the University. It was an unprecedented show of solidarity with the University as Ace Supermarket has an outlet at Ogbomoso. Truly, Ace Supermarket is a worthy friend of LAUTECH. During the discussions preceding the presentation, one major highlight was the impact of the closure on the economy of the host town. Mr Afonja, who is an employer of labour, also mentioned how he was impressed by the graduates Lautech has produced especially in the ICT sector. Ace Supermarket has locations in Ogbomoso, Oyo, Akobo (Ibadan), Ile-Ife, Abeokuta, Osogbo and Oyo. One outstanding product among several others is the Ace Butter Bread, which is of Premium Quality and bromate free. It is available at all Ace Supermarket outlets. On behalf of over 30,000 students who are eagerly awaiting a quick resolution of this impasse, #fundLAUTECH initiative wishes to appreciate the kind gesture of Ace Supermarket. We also wish to state that we will not forget this act of benevolence. We pray that God will bless and prosper the labour of your hands. On a final note, we wish to state that we are open to donations from all and sundry and we are not discriminatory in our approach. We are not affiliated to any political organization and all running costs have been borne solely by the initiators of this movement. We run a very transparent fund raising initiative and we have held ourselves accountable to the highest ethical standards of conduct. STOP PRESS #fundLAUTECH Update: Senator Rasheed Ladoja Donates This morning the #fundLAUTECH initiative received a major boost from a former Governor of Oyo State and the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Excellency, Sen. Engr. Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. He made an instant donation of N2million and promised to donate his monthly pension of N644,589.15 over the next 6 months to #fundLAUTECH account. Consequently, he issued a cheque for the pension of the first month. Also the Accord Party Caucus in the Oyo State House of Assembly pledged a donation of N1million to #fundLAUTECH. Bayo Adeyinka, the Initiator made an elaborate presentation on the #fundLAUTECH initiative to His Excellency, Senator Ladoja who applauded and endorsed the initiative. He called on all citizens to support this project while pledging to personally rally support for the idea. In attendance at the presentation were members of the #fundLAUTECH team: 'Sola Kolawole, Ropo Egbeleke, Olatunde Ajayi-Ope and the National PRO of the Lautech Alumni Association, Samson Owoyokun. #fundLAUTECH team appreciates this kind gesture and use this opportunity to call on other friends of Lautech to donate generously.

HOW CAN I? "Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins?- Hag.1:4 HI, am Tunde. I am a co-initiator of #fundLAUTECH. LAUTECH and by extension Ogbomosho for me is home. Aside from training and certificate, LAUTECH gave me endearing and enduring relationships. Such as we are now families. I mean, how would I have met Lanre Aboderin,Olayinka Oluwakuse III, Ehizojie Ojesebholo, Omonigho Imonah, Precious Oyetayo Subuloye, Sunmbo 'Bewaji' Abiola, Haroun Popoola, Eniayo Ogunsola, and many more.., So how can I therefore feel unconcerned about the plight of LAUTECH. When there's something I can do. I'll rather die trying… I therefore appeal to you to join in rescuing LAUTECH from extinction, let's all come together to #fundLAUTECH, #YesWeCan!
