I left my motorbike to a friend when I went to Bali. He sent me the pic of it covered by thin layer of Merapi volcanic dust just some hours after I left. I told him I was always wondering how it feels like to have volcanic dusts filling the air around me. Three days later when I returned, it was still covered by the ashes. He didn’t wipe it.

Yogyakarta, May 11, 2018. I was inside the plane on a morning flight to Denpasar when I saw thick grey smoke on a mountain. I asked my friend, Cipot, to take a pic of it. At that time, we had no idea what happened and we didn’t even sure if it was not normal. Turned out it was Merapi erupting and 2 hours later the airport was closed due to the ashes. We had no idea how lucky we were. The picture she took were reposted by some national medias and newspapers.

Yogyakarta, April 2018. Me at the moment: begging for financial support. (This pic was taken 2 years ago, when I had no idea how tough life could be. I was thinking that adulthood and romantic life are only myths. It’s only two years but I feel like ten years older than she is)

Yogyakarta, April 2018. At first I felt a bit sad seeing those animals being captivated and treated as objects just to amuse human. But then I started to wonder if they were happy with the life they’re living. Are they?

Yogyakarta, April 16th 2018. It was my first time trying to do wildlife photography. Well, if a zoo life photography is a thing, I’d rather call it so.

Yogyakarta, April 2018. Feeling so melancholic realizing how time flies. Years ago I hate to eat veggies so much I can’t even finish half of this food (capcay). Now this food is dominating my diet as well as other vegan menus. I am feeling older. But not yet wiser.

Wednesday, April 25th, 2018. Being so contemplative out of the blue in my breakfast time. Realizing that there were so many things happened and how busy I am in the last two months that I don’t even spare my time to write anything here.

Other new habit: eating es pisang ijo for breakfast. The seller started to recognize me 😂

P.s it’s La Capila. They have the best pisang ijo in town.

Yogyakarta, March 2018. I walked to campus from kosan for three days. Hoping to be able to do more walking than riding 🛵. Reducing carbon prints.

Gumuk Pasir, March 17, 2018. It was 2 A.M, we were expecting the stars to show up and photograph them. Turned out it was a cloudy night and we ended up talking about the dead stars, the dead Stephen Hawking, and our ridiculous obsession to go to outer space.
