Phoebe hung onto every word he spoke as her eyes stayed locked on him. "You know I'm proud of you, right?" She paused for a moment to take a sip of her drink. "I just don't want to be a distraction or anything to you while you're in the healing process. We've both been through a lot and I think we should just take things day by day." There was a part of her that wanted to risk it all and jump back into his arms to live happily ever after. But there was another part of her that was still healing from all the hurt she had been through and knew taking things slow would be for the best. Her hand reached up and grazed Jaxson's cheek before brushing through his hair. "You're always going to have a special place in my heart, Jax." She leaned forward and gently pressed her lips to his cheek.
jaxandersonrp:
Jaxson nodded.“I completely understand, It is completely overwhelming and I get that, But you wouldn’t be getting in the way of anything."He promised her as he sipped at his drink."I’m healing for me and I’m not doing it just for us, yes you’re part the reason and That reason is to be better, Yes I want to be that guy who is emotional and in touch with their feelings, I know you may not be ready to get back together but I hope someday we can try again. ”

"You're more than welcome to borrow my copy," the blonde offered. After all, she was the type of person that rarely read a book more than once. So instead of it laying on her bookshelf gathering dust, she might as well lend it out. "Plus I heard something about a third book coming out in the series, so we'll have to keep our eyes peeled for it whenever it comes out."
Nodding along, Isabelle chuckled, watching as Phoebe grabbed the book she was searching for. "Oh!" she said a little too loudly before she bit her lip and quieted down. "I heard that first one is really good. I need to add it to my collection," she admitted. "I know the plot twist is wild isn't it?"

"I can never say no to some late-night dessert," Phoebe agreed. Not to mention, there was just something about being drunk and going to a diner in the middle of the night for comfort food. Phoebe's head slightly tilted, wondering if the woman was about to say what she thought she was. She couldn't help the smile that took over her face at her admission. Phoebe's bottom lip caught in between her teeth, her eyes scanning the sheer beauty of the other woman. "It's not every day that I get to meet my subscribers in person. I wonder if they're all as gorgeous as you are." In the past when she had the occasional run-in with a fan, they were usually men that tried to hit on her or feel her up in some way. It was refreshing in so many ways to meet Isabelle.
"Maybe after this shindig is over we can head to the diner and grab some," Isabelle suggested easily, now craving the desert something serious. She could already taste the cool vanilla ice cream on her tongue. At the question, her blush deepened and she took a moment to decide rather she was going to admit it. Then she realized, it was already out there. So, she just said it. "I'm pretty sure I'm subscribed to you..." she whispered, leaning in slightly as she tucked hair behind her ear and looked around the restroom slowly hoping no one else was inside to hear them. Her brown eyes slowly returned to Phoebe and she couldn't help but to look the woman up and down now, taking in her soft curves.

Phoebe couldn't help the flutter of butterflies in her stomach as he promised her a ride home. The alcohol was already seeping into her veins, just like the last time she had been in his presence. Phoebe's gaze dropped to the ground before her doe eyes locked on him. "I just--don't want to rush things," she took a moment to find the right words. She had always been a hopeless romantic and believed in the idea of her soulmate being out there, waiting to sweep her off of her feet. "I know you've been taking the steps to work on yourself and I'm proud of you for that." She paused for a moment, doing her best to gather her words in her tipsy stupor. "I just don't want to get in the way of that for you and part of me is terrified of getting hurt again."
“You’re very welcome.” He said softly and smiled softly.” Of course you could get a ride home with me.” He loved how things weren’t weird between them especially what happened between them.” So how are you feeling about what happened that night? Do you feel awkward at all? I mean you know I asked you to get back together, I wanted to say sorry if I made you feel any type of away.” He said softly.

"Thank you," she replied with a smile tugging on the corners of her lips. She had to admit, she was a little impressed and also surprised that Jaxson had taken on the role of a designated driver. "I did take an Uber here, but maybe by the end of the night if you're available I may hitch a ride with you. If that's okay, I mean."
He ordered her a red hot shot and handed it to her.” Just that I have to drive is all, I shouldn’t drink and drive.” He chuckled.”I should of taken an uber but I didn’t really feel like drinking tonight, Maybe I could take someone who’s drunk enough home safely.” He chuckled and sipped his drink.” It’s definitely not same without the alcohol.”

"Looks like we're both in the same boat," she replied with a polite giggle. She glanced towards the shelf and spotted just the book she had come in for. "This one," she said as she held up a book titled One of Us is Next. "I just finished the first one and once I realized there was a sequel, I rushed down here to get my hands on it."
"Same," Isabelle responded easily. "Just finished a book so I needed to grab another," she explained before she glanced down at the novel in her hands. "I think it will be," she said with a soft smile. "Looks like it'll be a page turner," she told Phoebe. "What book are you on the hunt for?" she asked curiously.

"Apple pie a la mode, an excellent choice if I say so myself." All this talk about food was starting to make her stomach growl. Especially since she was now craving a piece of the diner's apple pie. Phoebe was pulled from her thoughts of the diner's food as she noticed Isabelle's gaze locked on her. She was adamant about figuring out where she knew her from, while Phoebe already had the hint she knew exactly where she had seen her. Gauging from the blush and the giggle that escaped the other woman, she knew she was right. Though she chose to scrunch her brows together in confusion and asked, "and where is that?"
Nodding slowly Isabelle smiled. "I couldn't agree more. I love a simple ice cream sundae," she admitted, listening on as Phoebe told her about the pies. "Oh, maybe some apple pie a la mode," she thought aloud. Shifting in her heels, Isabelle bit her lip. The woman hadn't been to the bar, she hadn't been to the diner. Why did Phoebe look so damn familiar. She stared at the women for a bit longer before it clicked and a deep blush rose upon her tawny cheeks. "I know where I know you from," she said in almost a whisper before she giggled gently.

closed starter for @blissfullyalice
where: la boutique, downtown
With shopping bags draped on both of her arms, Phoebe strutted through the streets of downtown. It was apparent she had a successful shopping day at the dozens of stores that filled the space within Avenue 20. After a few months of saving up, she told herself she deserved to splurge and treat herself to something. That treat came in the form of a gorgeous baby pink matching handbag and wallet from Coach. Since her credit card had been getting a workout for the day, Phoebe couldn't resist the magnetic pull through the doors of La Boutique. Within minutes, her arms were filled with a few sundresses, jeans, and cute tops, which she immediately took to the nearest fitting room. She decided to start with the dresses, choosing a spaghetti-strap black dress with small sunflowers scattered around in a pattern. She gazed at her reflection in the mirror, not one-hundred percent sure if she was in love with the dress. Her head peeked out of the fitting room and spotted a familiar face. "Alice!," she called out to get her attention. "I need your opinion on this dress. What do you think?" The blonde spun around in a slow circle, showing off all angles of the dress for an honest opinion.

Phoebe had only one book in mind when she walked into the store, but it never hurt to browse around a little bit more. It was always a nice surprise to run into a friendly face, especially Isabelle's. "I'm good. Just browsing around looking for the next book in the series I'm reading. How about you?" She nodded in the direction of the books the other woman was holding. "Reading anything interesting?"
Reading over the inside flap of the book Isabelle grew very interested. A mystery, a romance, and a suspense novel all in one? She was practically salivating as she began to flip through the pages, trying to see how many chapters there were only to realize that the chapters were out of order. "Oh," she whispered to herself, even more interested now. This was the same author who'd written We Were Liars and she'd learned that E. Lockhart never missed. This was a definitely purchase. With that solidified, she thought maybe she could grab one more as she felt she was going to fly through this read when she heard a familiar voice. Looking up slowly, Isabelle spotted the blonde and she beamed. "Hey Phoebe! How are you?"

"Thank you," she replied as she felt the blush heat up her cheeks. "It was one of those Red Hot shots." She had only taken a few sips of it before she managed to spill it everywhere. Though the few sips she did have were excellent. Her brow raised in confusion. "No alcohol for you tonight? Any reason why?"

She glanced towards the glass in her hand. More of the liquid had spilled than she had realized, leaving nothing more than a few sips left. “Yeah, I think I’m going to need another drink,” she said with a small laugh. Her eyes gazed up at him and her cheeks flushed a shade of scarlet as he complimented her. No matter how hard she tried to shake him, Jaxson still had some sort of hold over her. “You look pretty handsome yourself.”
“Thank you, Red really suits you.” He wasn’t lying it matched her skin tone perfectly. “I figured you did because most of your drink is on me.” He laughed and shook his head, He walked over to the bar.” What are you having? I might take something non alcoholic.” He chuckled and He knew she might find that surprising since He was always drinking but tonight he had to drive and Maybe be someone’s designated driver tonight.

"I'm a classic ice cream sundae kinda girl," she stated. Some people may argue that her answer was boring or basic. But who could complain about ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry on top? "My second choice is definitely any of the pies we have. Apple and peach are the best, by far." She was happy to have met a friendly face who she could pal around with for the evening. "No, I haven't been to Daring Daiquiri in a while." Her face twisted in confusion as she racked her brain as to where else the woman may have known her from. For a brief second, the thought of the past videos she had made for adult websites or her current OnlyFans content could be where the woman knew her from. While she wasn't ashamed of it, it wasn't the topic she willingly wanted to bring up. Especially when in the presence of someone new. "Maybe we've just crossed paths around town before?" It seemed like a plausible explanation.
"I absolutely will," Isabelle smiled at the woman as she grabbed a paper towel and damped it under the sink. Leaning into the mirror a bit, she began to blot the area gently. "What desert do you suggest?" she was curious to know from someone that worked there. Leaning back, she tossed the paper towel in the trash before running her fingers through her hair, tucking some behind her ear as she turned to the woman. "Indeed I am Phoebe, I'm Isabelle," she said with a hum. "Moved here last month," she told the woman. "Have you been to the Daring Daiquiri lately? I bartend there and I swear, you look mad familiar," she squinted at Phoebe, trying to figure out why as she leaned against the counter.

Reading had always been a pastime that fluctuated with Phoebe. She would go from not touching a book for months, to suddenly being in the mood to read and being invested in some series. At the moment, it was the latter. She had just finished up One Of Us Is Lying and needed to get her hands on the sequel as soon as possible. Bookmarked seemed like her best bet at finding what she was looking for. As she searched the shelves her eyes spotted a familiar presence. "Hey you," she greeted with a bright smile.
who: open to all location: Bookmarked
The more Isabelle got acquainted with her new surroundings, the more confident she felt in venturing out into the world and today was no different as she walked into the bookstore. In her downtime, she was a bit of a reader, and she had just finished We Were Liars and needed something new to sink her teeth into. Inhaling the faint vanilla scent from the books, she let out a deep sigh as she found her way to the fiction section. She was a romance, mystery, sci-fi kind of girl, though she didn't mind the occasional celebrity biography as well. Studying the selection, she pulled out what looked to be promising, Genuine Fraud.

She exhaled a sigh of relief, thankful that she hadn't ruined the woman's dress beyond repair. There were a few pieces of clothing she had stained with red wine in the past. No matter what cleaning hack she tried, nothing worked and she was forced to toss those pieces. "It would be my pleasure," Phoebe said with a growing grin as she looped her arm with the woman's and followed her lead. "You'll have to come when I'm scheduled so I can hook you up with a dessert on the house or something." It wasn't something she did often for customers, but she made the exception for her friends. And usually only when her boss wasn't around to catch her. Phoebe stepped in front of the other mirror, leaning in to check her make-up and fix her hair while she had the opportunity. She turned back around and leaned against the counter as she gazed down at the woman's dress. "I'm Phoebe. Are you new to town?"
"No, no, it's fine," Isabelle told the woman easily as she looked back down at her dress. "You can barely even see it." Looking back at the pretty blonde, Isabelle stepped around her. "You can keep me company though," she smiled, looping her arm around the woman's as she began walking to the restroom, pulling her along. Isabelle guided them through the busy crowd of people murmuring apologies along the way. "Never been to the Sunrise Diner," she admitted, "though I've heard it's pretty good. Maybe I should stop by one day," she hummed as she pushed the bathroom door open, pulling the fairer skinned woman along with her. "Maybe I've just seen you around town," Isabelle shrugged as she dropped the other woman's arm and moved to stand before the mirror, eyeing her dress further as she sat her glass down on the sink counter. "I'm Isabelle, by the way."

He looked down at the shorter girl and chucked .” Yeah you and me both. Could I get you a drink ?” He offered.” You look gorgeous by the way .” He looked over her dress and red was definitely her color.

When she gazed up at the person she collided with, the last person she expected it to be was her ex-boyfriend. "Even so, I'm still sorry. I'm such a klutz."
Jaxson had felt someone collide with him and looked down to see who it was, The drink had gotten all over his white shirt." Oh dammit, Lucky thing I have an extra shirt in my back pack." He muttered, It wasn't that big of a stain."You didn't mess anything up so don't worry about it." He said gently, reassuring her.
