"i know," akari's not that naive, this is only the beginning of something so much bigger that they can barely handle with the number of people available on site. a next time is not something they can avoid, but at this rate it might be what finally puts all of them down for good. a snort at shoko's words, perhpas the first thing akin to a laugh that akari's done in days. "how generous," a pause, cigarette passed over again. "i'll bring the booze then." then throw everything in a pile and burn it to the ground, might get something better from its ashes.

what are you going to do to me?

used to be best of her class back in the days, though footwork has turned a bit sloppy with age - her bad leg is a tell, scars long healed thanks to a mixture of jujutsu and patience as time goes by ( something she's still working on, for better or worse ) though darker shades are still slightly visible over paler skin. so the leg is off limits, but so is his arm - saw it get stitched back together, scar taking its time to heal just like her owns. akari's better than that though she does mention someone else would have taken the opportunity of an easy win; not sure what does it say about her in this particular predicament but still ... this sparring session will be as fair as it can be.

she's smaller, faster with the batons if she puts her mind into it. a few rounds and muscle memory has finally kicked in, practiced moves from times that don't belong to the walls of this school ( nor kyoto's for that matter ) thrown in for good measure. her position, her leg ... they mean nothing; one baton swung up as distraction, the other down - he's twice her size and she won't even try to push him down, she can try to make it slip though ... and yes, still got it! batons twirled in her hands as she steps forward, satisfied grin on lips as gaze darts on the ground.

"mhm," she pretends to think about it, weapons thrown on the ground as she kneels down so they're even. "jury's still out." aloof facade only lasts so much before wider smile graces lips, body leaning closer just enough to kiss the tip of his nose. a moment of pause, gaze softening - another tell this sparring session is actually rigged, though she's not surehow much about that hiromi's caught yet. "maybe i'll eat you whole ... if you're good."
