Am I the first one to ask for a mermaid au?

you are in fact

lets see what i can do

(its been awhile but i gave it my best)

(and full disclosure, im not well versed in mermaid aus, so i just went in with the mindset of "if the anime happened underwater" and went on from there)

Yona

yona would be a very bright mermaid, well suited for life in an underwater castle on the reefs

she would have a long red fin with a large thin fin, very flashy and decked out with all the finest jewels

after her escape her tail would get in the way, such a tail would be unfit for a life on the run, it would eventually get torn up on rocks and such so she had to trim it down

she never had time to be upset by it, and eventually came to like the ease of mobility

Hak

Hak is a battle scarred warrior, with a strong black tail, much like a shark, the horizontal movement and streamlined shape make him very fast and very powerful

he managed to escape with yona thanks to his speed, which gave him the ability to out swim the gaurd

Jeaha

our local pervert would be a beautiful and mysterious creature living out in the open waters with a school of pirates (whether these are actual pirates or ones with fins I'll leace up to you)

his tail, like hak's, moves horizontally powered my strong muscles to build up speed fast, but his most distinguishing feature are the 2 large sturdy fins sprouting from his back and the 4 smaller ones on his arms and hips, these are mostly for show under the waves, and can even hinder his movements sometines, but they really shime when jeaha launces himself out of the water. the extra fins give him the ability to glide above the surface for long periods of time.

he longs to stay up there, to escape the lonely ocean and see the rest of the surface world

you can catch him occasionally singing "part of your world"

Kija

pretty boy is, well, pretty

with bright white scales and a long delicate fin

his tail is not the strongest or the fastest

but he does have sharp spines running down his back and up his arms, these spines are additionally filled with venom, so even if you avoid getting sliced in two, even a scratch can leave you with a burning pain for anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days.

the spines retract however, so you need not worry about our special white snake recieving all the hugs he deserves.

if the person hes in love with happens to like someone else, he will do everything to help them get together

He jokes a lot but if he genuinely loved someone and they didnt love him back, he would shut down for at least a week, its practically unnoticeable though

After that he'll come to terms with it and do whatever it takes to make them happy

Gonna do a angsty zeno headcannonWell its technically more like a theory but whatever, this has been sitting in my head for a long time

Zeno could’ve died and gone to heaven with the others if he had just started a village like the others.The others slowly lost their powers and died when a new dragon was born and the blood was passed onto themTake kija’s dad for exampleBut zeno never stuck around long enough for that to happen, the blood never passed onalternatively, if he had had children the dragon blood could’ve passed onti them but he never had children because he didn’t want to be with any woman but kaya

I’ve always headcannoned jeaha getting overly excited over shoes specifically bootsLike every time they pass a merchant selling footwear jeaha is like “guys we HAVE to stop or i will literally die guys what are you thinking they’re shoes”Then he spends an hour looking at all the bootsHis obsession started when he first started hiding his dragon leg obviouslySpends all the money yun gives him on new bootsBut he rarely wears themLike he has so many shoesBut he only ever wears those boots he had in awa(Probably because gigan bought them for him or something)Yun eventually gets upset with him and starts throwing all the shoes at jeaha
