Vanilla Chai (Johnny Suh x Reader)
The taste of your vanilla chai latte was still on your tongue as you sat in the booth of your campus coffee shop. Your notes were splayed out in front of you on the table and your iPad was propped up so you could read through your highlighted online textbook. You were so lost in thought whilst trying to organize your study guide that you didn’t even hear Johnny come to the table. The booth you were in was tucked into the back corner of the small house turned coffee shop on the outskirts of campus. The walls were littered with pictures of past students during their late night study sessions, hyped up on obscene amounts of caffeine. The place was dim and the one, main light source was the string lights that were strewn throughout the entire shop. It wasn’t the ideal place to study but who cares? It’s all about the aesthetics
Johnny lifted your feet that were resting on the bench across from you and tucked them under his thigh as he half settled in, half hung out of the booth across from you.
“You’ve been here for 6 hours babe. I don’t know how much more studying is going to do for your final.” he said
“You can never study too much.” you responded as you tapped your Apple Pencil on the table.
“Well lets take a brain break then so you don’t overwhelm yourself.”
You sighed and put your pencil down in defeat and allowed yourself to get pulled from your comfortable spot. You knew a “brain break” meant Johnny wanted to get coffee. You had already downed two cups since you’d gotten there but one more couldn’t hurt.
Johnny scooted out of his seat and held out his hand for you to take. As you both got out of the booth, you stretched and shook off some of the nervousness for your final. Johnny could sense your apprehension and bent down slightly to give a small kiss. You could feel him smile against your lips and he pulled back for a brief moment before resting his forehead against yours.
“Vanilla chai. My favorite.”
