Please talk about Georgia (the country!!), the pro Russian ruling party Georgian Dream overridden president's veto of foreign agents law (russian law). People of course are pissed and protesting. Like, why there are only up to 5 people talking about this on tumblr?
Once again, by accepting this law the parliament betrays Georgians and it sabotages it's road to EU and they want country to become a Russia's puppet. I don't care what you all think about EU, Georgia and Eastern Europe in general suffered from Russian imperialism for centuries. Please reblog.
More information about this law and how it completely disregards privacy and will work as a tool for oppression (from this post):

Video of a russian glide bomb hitting the "Epicenter" home improvement shopping mall in Kharkiv city on May 25, 2024.
14 people were killed, 7 are considered to be missing
Tumblr media
This is 8-year-old Mykhailo, yesterday his father didn't return from the "Epicenter", now the boy's DNA samples are being taken to help identify his father's body fragments.
Not a day goes by in which russia does not bring us pain and devastation simply because we exist.

She found her father in the hospital, and came to ask the police about her mother and younger sister.
Tumblr media
The entire family of the 20-year-old girl went shopping today in the area where the two bombs landed. Her 12-year-old sister and mother are no longer answering the phone, and they have not returned home. Her father was with them - now he is in the hospital with a concussion. This girl returned to the scene late in the evening. She has already given DNA samples. We will look for her relatives, unfortunately, among the dead.
Another man is looking for his wife. They worked together in a hypermarket, he was a salesman and she was a department manager. We came to work at eight in the morning. He miraculously survived, he was closer to the exit of the shopping center at the time of the attack and has no injuries. The wife had just gone to the restroom at that moment and was not seen again. In order to do a DNA test and find this woman among the burned victims, we have already taken samples from her mother.
The girl in the photo is also twenty years old and looking for her father. He was working at the mall, and they did not wait for him at home.
All of these people are holding up well despite such terrible events. Police psychologists are also at the scene, and they provide assistance to the victims' relatives if necessary. Now the main task is to find and identify everyone who died after the brutal attack. To return them to their familie

Just because you hate USA imperialism it doesn't mean you have to support other imperialist countries
If you believe that genocide of Ukrainians, current anti foreign agents law protests in Georgia are funded and orchestrated by USA - congratulations! You believed Russian propaganda! These 2 countries just don't want to go fash and fucking die, simple as that! People want to be free without The Evil States dictating them to protect themselves!

Since the beginning of the year, more than 700 libraries have been destroyed or damaged in Ukraine.
Russia struck Ukraine’s major printing press, Faktor-Druk in Kharkiv, killing at least 5 employees among the 7 dead & 20 injured. Kharkiv is the heart of Ukraine’s publishing industry. This attack on culture underscores the genocidal nature of Russia’s war. Factor-print was bombed exactly one week before the Book Arsenal (book festival), just when dozens of publishing novelties were being rushed to print. The bombing was aimed at preventing these books from being published, at preventing Ukrainians from having book fairs - for a quarter of a century, the Russians had managed to silence them using other methods, and now that they have started to find their feet, they are using bombs and missiles. And all for the sake of the "great Russian culture". Forcing people to read this literature because of the absence of destroyed Ukrainian literature. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the Vivat publishing house (the bookshop belongs to them).

A Story About A Ukrainian Book
Once upon a time, there was a Ukrainian writer of children's stories and poems Volodymyr Vakulenko.
When Russians occupied Izyum - the town he lived in - he hid his manuscripts under a cherry tree in his garden.
One day, Russians came in, took him, and killed him.
Once upon a time, there was a Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina. She came to Izyum after Ukrainian army liberated it and found Vakulenko's manuscripts and sent them to be published.
One day, when Victoria was showing foreign journalists around in a beautiful city of Kramatorsk, Russian missile flew in the café they were dining in and killed her.
Once upon a time, there was a Ukrainian book publishing agency Vivat. It was one of the biggest in the whole country. Vivat took Volodymyr's manuscripts from Victoria, worked diligently to compile them and published them.
One day, Russian missiles flew in the building, where Vivat publishing agency was, and destroyed it completely.
The End.

1995. A small boy with a straw colored hair stands alone in the heat of a high summer. He's surrounded by other boys, turns around in confusion, seemingly looking for someone. All the while,he gently cradles a small white rabbit.
It is Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1995. In the matter of a few days, from 11–13 July, over 8000 Bosniak men and boys will be killed. Their bodies dumped in mass graves, dug up again and thrown in secondary and tertiary mass graves.
The crimes were perpetrated by the forces of the Army of Republika Srpska led by the convicted war criminal General Ratko Mladić.
Today the United Nations General Assembly will be voting on a draft resolution declaring July 11 the International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 genocide in Srebrenica. The Srebrenica massacre was found to be an act of genocide by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, a finding upheld by the ICJ.
Let me summarize this: this is an already declared and confirmed genocide by the international courts. The resolution that was now being forwarded is to declare the date the town fell as a day to commemorate it, as well as condemn all acts of denial (which are plenty).

Burning Ukrainian books isn't enough for russians, they are bombing printing houses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Factor Druk, one of the largest full-cycle printing houses both in Ukraine and in Europe (located in Kharkiv region), where a lot of Ukrainian publishing houses print their books. And today russia bombed it. There are injured and killed.
After reading this horrible news, I went to my bookshelf, and the first comic I picked up was printed by Factor Druk. And you know what's fucking ironic?
It was one of Atla comics.
I have a collection of all Atla comics that are already published in Ukraine, and apparently they were printed by Factor Druk.
Tumblr media
I'm sitting here completely devastated, holding these comics like the biggest treasure in the world.

today russians have hit the biggest printing house in ukraine, which is also one of the biggest printing houses in europe. destruction of ukrainian literature has systematically been used by russia not just in this war, but in the ussr and the russian empire as well, and is a purposeful attempt to wipe out our culture and language.

It’s so ironic how people who pride themselves on living in “the land of the free and home of the brave” turn into spineless cowards who support a brutal occupation by a genocidal regime as soon as they lose interest in a cause, don’t want to hear about it anymore, and become tired. I am specifically referring to the people who insist Ukraine negotiates for peace, and then proceed to complain that the war is getting shoved down their throats. The moral inconsistency gets to me. The words and the actions aren’t matching up.
Ukrainians are also exhausted from Russia’s invasion, more than you can ever imagine. The difference is that Ukrainians don’t have the privilege of becoming disinterested and looking away. The threat of death is always looming over the country. People can’t even go to a recreation center on a spring Sunday morning without getting hit by ballistic missiles TWICE, just like yesterday in Cherkas’ka Lozova in the Kharkiv region.
“Just negotiate and get it over with”
For anyone insisting that Ukraine negotiates with Russia, we’ve tried. Please read this long list of how Russia uses treaties and negotiations to their advantage and violates them rapidly. Not including the 400 international treaties that have been violated since 2014. Negotiating will do nothing if one party isn’t willing to honor the terms.

May all the invaders in my homeland carry sunflower seeds in their pockets. May their corpses fertilize our soil so the fields can grow again in a free, peaceful, and safe Ukraine. May the pain they cause return to them and their loved ones tenfold.
Russia is a terrorist state.
Слава Україні. Glory to Ukraine.
Героям слава. Glory to the heroes. 🇺🇦
