Kokushibo × female human
Fate’s Chosen: A Kokushibo × Female Human Story (part 1)
______________________________________________________________________________________
You never asked for this life.
A human, chosen by Muzan himself—not for your strength, nor for your ability to fight, but for something far worse. You were intelligent, your mind sharper than a blade, a rare jewel in a world of fleeting mortals. And so, Muzan decided you would serve him, whether you wished to or not.
Refusing was not an option.
You had seen it before—the way he silenced those who defied him, the effortless way his hand would pierce through flesh, the cold, absolute dominance in his gaze. And so, you obeyed.
You became a researcher, working within the Infinity Castle—an ever-shifting maze of corridors and towering walls, filled with demons who feasted on human flesh. They were monstrous, merciless… but none dared to touch you. Not when Muzan had made his decree.
And so, you worked.
Day after day, you collected samples—blood, flesh, anything that could bring Muzan one step closer to true immortality. You studied the demons, their abilities, their weaknesses, searching for an answer buried within their cursed bodies.
One of them was Kokushibo.
He terrified you.
Six eyes, each one watching you with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine. His gaze was unreadable, cold, as if he could see straight through your soul. His long, clawed fingers looked sharp enough to slice through bone, and his presence alone made the air feel heavy, suffocating.
You never had to look to know he was there—you could feel it. His aura was suffocating, pressing down on you like a silent threat before you even turned around.
And yet… he kept coming back.
At first, he was silent. He would watch as you worked, as if trying to understand what it was you were doing. You never spoke to him beyond what was necessary, keeping your distance like one would from a wild beast.
But then, he started speaking.
Simple words at first—questions about your work, about what you sought to uncover. His voice was deep, smooth, yet it carried an eerie stillness, as if he chose each word with meticulous care.
Then, more personal questions.
"Do you fear me?"
The first time he asked, you hesitated. Because the answer was yes.
But instead, you replied, "Should I?"
His lips barely twitched—perhaps amusement, perhaps something else. "That depends," he said. "You are fragile. Humans break easily."
It wasn’t a warning. It was a fact.
And yet, he never hurt you. Never raised a hand against you, never let those deadly claws come near. You wondered if it was because of Muzan's orders—or something else.
Over time, his visits became more frequent.
You found yourself expecting him, your heartbeat quickening when you felt that familiar, suffocating presence. His questions grew deeper, his presence lingering long after his words had faded.
Something about him unnerved you. But at the same time… something about him fascinated you.
A demon, yet unlike the others. A man who had abandoned his humanity, yet still held traces of something more.
And in the shifting shadows of the Infinity Castle, you realized—
He was watching you, too.
Closely.
Carefully.
And perhaps, just like you… he was beginning to wonder why.
