DMC Questions Anon here!

Take every character you wish to and tell me what you think is the most emotionally devastating situation they could be put in and how they would react to it.

Heyo

You all were destined to send me an angst question, so i will do my best to do this one justice.

With Dante I think that's already happened: DMC1 sort of outlines that perfect storm of fighting a monster, killing it, only for its remains to show itself to be someone you love. Dante kills his brother (in his mind) twice and both times is made to feel like the downfall is his fault entirely. I imagine finding the blood of your only living family on your hands twice would drive me to drink and self isolate out of fear of doing anything horrible to anyone else, too.

Dante quietly suffers, but it shows wherever you look in his office. It makes his want to distance himself from Nero even more sad once u understand that he's known who the kid's father was for years, and knew without a shadow of doubt. I could go on for hours, but I'll stop there.

What's hard about this question is that these things have happened to most of the characters IN canon aside from Nero. Lady kills her own father, Trish betrays the ONE person who trusts her, Dante kills his own flesh and blood, and Nero had to watch the foundations of his previous life fall out from under him.

Credo's death fucked with him big time, but imagine what would happen if he was made to face his newly found family? That'd be super interesting.

How is Chao's adventure in Edenia so far? Does he enjoy the parade, tournament, and banquet?

The way to The Palace was rather lovely, Chao giggling and smiling at all The people celebrating.

Lao finding his sons Joy so adorable that he couldnt stop smiling himself.

When they got to The throne room to meet The empress herself, chaos precensse got brought into question.

Lord Liu Kang and The princesses explaining The sintuation that ocured and Chao was allowed to stay.

As The tournament began, Lao lifted his boy onto his shoulders so he could see uncle Raiden fight and cheer him on.

They enjoyed The different Matches alot and Lao appriciated it when Liu Kang would whisper to him explinations of things about outworld and who all The people fighting Raiden are, but he didn't notice how The god was smiling at The sight of him and their child enjoying The tournament.

As The first Day came to a close The group was invited to join The banquet.

Lao was More than hungry at this point and his mouth started to water The moment he saw all The food. He sat down with Chao beside him and first Set up a plate of with little bit of everything for The Kid to try before starting to eat himself, pausing every now and again to attend to his son.

Both of them loving The food, tough it would not hold a candle to Madam bo's cooking but IT was still good'.

Lao was so focused in on The food and caring for his baby that he failed to notice that him, his figure and maternal instincs were being observed.
