I was checking this scene from "The Harvest Moon Festival" while doing research for something, and look how excited this man is to show off his powers and expertise.
To a crowd of imps who hate him. While Blitz isn't even watching, and a man who his wife hired to kill him is aiming his rifle.
His life was so much sadder than he even knew. Brilliant set-up for all the character development to come.

AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA well, what can I say? Choo Choo 🚂 we love disaster men with toddler communication skills. I mean, even toddlers express themselves clearer than these two xD
New chapter of my post-Murder Family fic.
This chapter is very smutty, and sometimes in a cringy way because these poor fools can't communicate. You have been warned.
It will three chapters overall, and the purpose is to explore Blitz's perspective right at the start of the full moon deal.
Thanks to @akirathedramaqueen for your fantastic editing and support as always.

Lol I was so surprised to play AA4 and, like, actually see someone who's just trying to work on the case with you and presents actually sound arguments . . . except . . . . yeah, let's not talk about blind kids shooting from .45-caliber revolver.
He never gets in the way of your work and readily gives you information. For once, we have someone with no interest of obliterating us.
That was refreshing indeed <3
I like how the main Ace Attorney prosecutors are all like:
Updates autopsy report in your face;
Whips you senseless;
Throws a hot mug of coffee in your face;
Attempts to slice you in half with a katana;
Attempts to strangle you with beads
And then there's Klavier Gavin

I was literally reading this and was like, "Blitz, you such a dumbass," or, "STOLAS OPEN YOUR FUCKING BEAK FOR SOMETHING BUT . . ."
Ahem. Yeah. But it's not a bad thing, because guess what - that's the point. That's early them. It explores and sets up the turmoil they have in the show, and I love this interpretation.
As always, good job <3

Heey, the second chapter is out!
Edgeworth here is the epitome of making all the right observations and making catastrophically wrong conclusions. Logic isn’t helping. He’s rushing on a train of helpless denial toward breaking laws and wrecking chaos in the legal world just because a certain defense attorney asked him nicely. (Well, he technically hadn’t, but . . . that’s what he gave his badge for, right?)
And all we can say here is, “Choo-Choo! Bon voyage!”
The realization crashed in on him as he looked into Iris’s wide hazel eyes.
The true purpose of Wright’s badge in his pocket, which he’d thought was just a fevered man’s symbolic gesture, suddenly became crystal clear.
The suspicion sparked as soon as he walked into the visitor’s room at the Detention Center, and bloomed the more he talked to Iris. She told him her story . . . with a strangely familiar and earnest face, scared out of her mind, but not as much for herself as for Phoenix, Maya, who she called an acolyte, the other nun, and the victim . . . She even found some kind words for Larry, though Edgeworth strongly disagreed with his characterization as a ‘hard-working’ and ‘talented’ man.
So Edgeworth reprised Wright, “He asked me to take care of you . . .”
And followed it up with what, he now understood, Wright truly meant, “At the trial tomorrow. He asked me to defend you.”
It wasn’t until much later, on his way to the Hazakura Temple, that the magnitude of what he’d promised to do dawned on him.
@tealvenetianmask, hello-hello, thanks for helping me out! As always <3

Anyone else wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night remembering this face?

And how not only was Blitz reacting to what Stolas was saying because he very much cares if Stolas stays or goes. He wants to hold him and talk to him and see him, and tell him how much he is the only one he will ever want…
He was ALSO making this devastatingly tragic face because he wants all of those things too.
He wants to be held and cared for and loved by Stolas so so bad and you see when he berates himself for reaching out a few seconds later how much he won’t, nay, can’t, allow himself to have that.

Hi, happy NaruMitsu Week! Uh, so, here’s my contribution to the Day 2′s prompt: Distance/Reunion. I find it fitting, since that theme runs through the heart of what I’m trying to build here.
This fic fills the gaps in the Bridge to the Turnabout case from Edgeworth’s perspective as he tries to logic his way out of his inexplicable feelings toward Wright . . . Until, eventually, it dawns on him.
“W-wait! Don’t hang up! It’s an emergency! . . . It’s Nick! H-he . . . He may already be dead!” Larry’s words were ringing in his head the whole time he sat in that accursed jet. He felt trapped inside that thing, helpless, unable to make it fly faster, horrified at the idea that he was too late. Finally, the flight was over, and he stood in the Hotti Clinic, so dazed he couldn’t quite recall how he’d gotten there. He asked for Wright . . . He was there—in the ICU. The moment he got cleared to visit Wright, he rushed to the room the nurse at the reception desk named, yearning to get an undeniable confirmation that Wright was, indeed, alive, but also dreading to find out just how badly he was hurt. This idiot would be the death of him.
It mostly respects the game's canon, except minor changes due to consistency/plausibility. Multiple chapters are planned, featuring different stages of the case (which happen in between of canonical scenes from the game) and Edgeworth working his way toward understanding of why he cares so much about Wright.
As always, my deepest thanks to @tealvenetianmask for helping me through this and for the brilliant edit. I know you’re not sharing my hyperfixation on this fandom and I appreciate deeply that you put up with me gushing over two gay disaster lawyers <3 And also, thank you for rushing its edit so it comes out before NaruMitsu Week is over.

New phobia unlocked XD Geez I hope the diet worked D:

Part 1 of 2
The Ballad of the Boba and the Baguette (By @larryisnotagirl )
All right, I’m going to regale you all with the ridiculous story that inspired this comic. About 4 weeks ago, I was sitting on the couch drinking a delicious brown sugar boba tea from our local tea shop and watching a compilation of “Hilarious Ancient Vines” on Youtube. The Vines were in fact quite hilarious and during the course of the video I laughed while I had a mouth full of tapioca and managed to inhale one of the bobas. I coughed a bit and assumed like all the times before that I had something go “down the wrong pipe” that I had coughed it up and managed to have it continue on its merry way down my esophagus. Alas, this was not the case, as later that night I had very vivid dreams about choking on an egg and kept waking up gagging and coughing. I realized with horror that the boba was STILL in my throat.
Over the next few days I tried everything to get it out. Hanging upside down off my bed while coughing as hard as I could, having my partner do back blows (which he had just trained for in a first aid class) and drinking copious amounts of liquid in big gulps to try to dislodge it. Unfortunately nothing worked and I realized with increasing horror that I was going to have to tell a medical professional about this. I saw a doctor the next day and explained my issue through embarrassed laughter. She made an attempt to see it herself, but the boba was slightly too far down for her to help. I was scheduled for an x-ray, but also warned that if I still felt it there in 48 hours I needed to go to the ER to have my throat scoped.
The thought of going to the ER for this ridiculous problem and having to explain why I was there in front of who knows how many nurses and doctors was enough to have me Googling every possible tactic for getting a stuck object out of one’s throat. The best (and yummiest) option I found was bread and carbonated beverages. So one case of Bubly and a baguette later, I was ready for “Operation Abort the Boba Throat Baby”. The carbonated water is self-explanatory, but the technique for the bread is not (apparently, haha). Basically, chew a large piece of bread just enough to be able to swallow it and hope that it catches the offending object (usually a pill) on the way down. We are now one week into this ordeal btw, so I’m getting desperate. Over the course of the weekend, I ate an entire baguette in this manner and exclusively drank cherry Bubly. I was fairly sure it was successful but it was hard to tell right away since my entire throat was sore and scratchy. I opted to wait another few days before going to the ER to see if my bread and Bubly diet worked.
So how does this lead to Blitz deepthroating a baguette you may ask? In two separate conversations, one with a co-worker and one with some Tumblr mooties- I explained that I bought a baguette to help me dislodge the boba and both times the other person envisioned me using the baguette as a plunger of sorts- like using the entire loaf of bread to push the boba down to its final destination. This was absolutely hysterical to me and my brain rot being what it is- led me to saying out loud to my partner “Why does this sound like something Blitz would do?” He immediately sketched out the comic you see above.
The moral of this story is simple- DRINKING BOBA IS SERIOUS BUSINESS. DO NOT LAUGH WHILE CONSUMING.
Thank you for reading my silly but absolutely true story. Sorry it got so long, lol.
————————-
Thank you to my partner @larryisnotagirl for the explanation of the inspiration for this comic.
PART 2 coming SOON (the story CONTINUES!)
Until then be safe and protect yourselves from rogue Bobas! 😱

wrightworth makes me sick because everything you think would be fanon is actually 100% canon like what do you mean phoenix became a lawyer because he wanted to ‘save’ miles. what do you mean that miles chartered an international flight because phoenix was in danger. what do you mean phoenix calls miles ‘daddy’ in the middle of court. what do you mean that miles is almost the entire reason phoenix became a lawyer again after being disbarred.
like I genuinely thought ‘phoenix visited miles in europe during the seven year gap’ was fanon but no!! that’s also canon!!! at this point it’s less gay if they just come out and say it!!!!
#ahahahahahha#welcome to the biggest scam#called queerbaiting#where they will do everything#ANYTHING#to not give us confirmation#but they'll have us wheezing and screaming#the moment we saw something which points to the nature of their relationship#also yup. all canon

(2/2) Edgeworth meets Wright for the first time
Part 1!
For the prompt of Narumitsu Week Day 5: Another Universe, here's part 2 of this comic for my Story Contest AU.
[Transcript]
The descriptions how the characters look are in the Intro post linked in the word "Story Contest AU" in the previous caption.
The comic is mostly monochrome in black and white, with slight color variation due to a filter.
Page 1:
Wright leans in to Edgeworth. "So," he starts, "See anything you like?" Edgeworth simply stares at him. Trucy, still holding the big painting, turns to Phoenix, "Daddy, can I have my burger?"
Edgeworth's empty stare of shock.
Edgeworth's empty stare of shock evolves into a hand over his face, rubbing his eyes. The hand rises his glasses as he does so. "Of course," his train if thought begins.
"Um, sir...?" Wright questions him, "Uh." "Here you go sweetie," he hands his daughter a burger. She thanks him and adds, "I think you broke him." Meanwhile Edgeworth turned away from from them, his face in his hands, emanating a depressing aura while he is thinking, "Of course, it's the artist's daughter. Just what am I thinking? Embarrassing. I am so tired."
"Erm," Edgeworth turns back around to face Wright, his hand going through his hair, "My sincere apologies, but unfortunately I cannot afford original artworks at this time..." "Ah! Say no more!" Wright exclaims, his hand raising.
Page 2:
Wright is picking up a stack of papers from the table.
He hands Edgeworth the stack, grinning, while Trucy stares at Edgeworth from behind, munching on a burger. "Prints! Seven bucks. Go wild!" Wright tells Edgeworth.
Edgeworth starts going through the stack, his fingers dipping among the papers while thinking, "Ahh... Now I am expected to purchase something... I would feel incredibly bad if I left them hanging like this..."
His fingers stop, as he sees a glimpse of a Steel Samurai illustration.
"The Steel Samurai!!!" he yells in his mind as he stares wide eyed, sweating and blushing at his discovery.
"Do you sell more... Of this type?" Edgeworth asks, pulling the Steel Samurai illustration out of the pile. Trucy has her eyes on Wright now. "Ahh, no unfortunately..." he replies.
Edgeworth: "That's a shame." Wright: "To be clear, I did sell them at one con I was at... That one here is leftovers, haha." Edgeworth: "So you attend comic cons?" Wright: "Yeah, but mostly with a friend..." They continue going on and on while Trucy is eating her burger and her eyes swipe between them.
Page 3:
A panel of their hands, Edgeworth handing Wright the money bills. "Here you go," he says. "Thank you so much!" Wright replies. There are sparkles around them.
As Edgeworth is putting the print in his bag, Wright wishes him a nice day and he nods.
Edgeworth looks down and starts brooding. Wright looks at him questioningly.
"Here goes nothing," he thinks, pulling out a scrunched piece of paper from his pocket.
He hands Wright the paper. "A contest." Sweat drops roll down his face. Wright is surprised, and Trucy in her curious nature lifts herself up so she can try and peek the content of the paper.
Page 4:
Edgeworth is holding out the paper, blushing furiously and sweating. The focus is on him. He is surrounded by sparkles and cozy, dull lighting. "This is a flyer for an illustrated story contest. All the information is on it, if you wish to take a look... The contestants join in teams of two..." he begins to say.
Wright simply stares at him, eyes wide and eyebrows raised, also blushing. The focus is now on him, and he is the one surrounded by sparkles and cozy, dull lighting. Edgeworth continues, "I am a writer, Miles Edgeworth. Your artworks have piqued my interest... If you're interested..."
Wright nervously smiles at him, rubbing the back of his neck. "Nghh... There it is..." Edgeworth realizes to himself, "That look of pity..."
Trucy practically jumps in front of Wright. He jerks at her appearance. "That's so great!" she exclaims, smiling widely, "Perfect!"
Page 5:
"Daddy hasn't drawn in weeks!" she continues giddily, accentuating the 'weeks', those words sharply stabbing Wright's head. He freezes in shock. Edgeworth's hand twitches as Trucy quickly swipes the flyer away from him.
"It'll be so good for him!" Trucy says. Edgeworth stares dumbfounded at his now empty hand, and fixes up his bag on his shoulder.
Wright, exasperated, looks at his daughter, shoulders slouched, blushing from embarrassment. In return she turns on sparkly eyes and looks at him back.
Her gaze gets more intense and way sparklier, and Wright closes his eyes.
"Okay!" Wright declares, straightening up, one hand on his forehead, and another digging through his hoodie pocket. He repeats himself more quietly, "Okay." Trucy raises her arms in victory and grins.
"Listen, um, Mr. Edgeworth," Wright begins, smiling nervously, pulling out his old Nokia phone from his pocket, "I can't promise anything, but you did buy from me. You can give me your number and I can let you know by tomorrow. How does that sound?"
Page 6:
Edgeworth, with the back of his hand over his mouth, surprised, stares at him. "... That is amenable, yes." The answer he gives him is calm, but inside his mind, he is crying in excitement and relief, yelling "There is hope!" in all caps. The panel is filled with flashes and flickers.
Edgeworth is typing in his number in Wright's phone. "...Erm, forgive me, I didn't catch your name?" he asks.
"Oh! Phoenix Wright. Nice to meet ya," replies Wright.
"Likewise." As he says this, Edgeworth thinks, "What year is this phone from...?"
[End transcript]
#aww Writer!Edgeworth is so cute#and nerdy#and more open about his hobbies#waiting for more :3#and not Trucy just ratting out her dad with his artblock
