There are potential legal ramifications for use of a rifle with scope for home defense but there are also some good reasons to have such a weapon available.

L1A1 (1 of 4) by Keary O. Via Flickr: One of my first parts kit guns. This is an Enfield mixed L1A1 SLR in 7,62 NATO (308) featuring the Sight Unit Infantry Trilux or “SUIT” scope. The United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia used the SLR from the 1950’s through the 1980’s when they were one by one replaced with 5,56mm weapons. This design is one of the first contracts of the great FN FAL battle rifle designed by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium during the early 1950’s.

@leaspeed6 leveling up!
“I have some engineering friends and they want all scopes perfectly level and uncanted. Using a @badgerordnance “dead zero” scope leveling tool with rail, you can perfectly level a scope with mounts using its built-in bubble level and fine adjustments. Then you look through scope at a plumb line or other vert/horiz point of reference and rotate your scope so there is no cant in reticle. In this case, we looked out back of kitchen to reference lines taped to backyard wall. You can do this directly on the rifle as well if you level that but it can be a lot trickier. This is also a good time to mount a level to the scope for when you are out shooting, as you know it will be perfectly aligned without cant. I found this pretty interesting of a process!”

OPMOD EOTech MPO-II and MPO-III Systems
I'm very pleased to introduce to you the new OPMOD MPO-II and MPO-III made exclusively for us by EOTech. The OPMOD EOTech MPO-II and MPO-III system consists of two components, each with a G23 magnifier and a holographic weapon sight. What differentiates this MPO for Optics Planet is not only the flat dark earth color, but we specified we wanted theA65 reticle instead of the reticle that EOTech puts in therein-line products, The A65 reticle has the 65 minute of angle circle with the single one minute dot. I prefer the single one minute dot, it's very clean, it's very quick, and it's not too busy.

I think the multiple dot reticles sometimes are a little too busy and I prefer the A65 circle. The acronym MPO stands for multi-purpose optic. Multi-purpose meaning that with the G23 magnifier flip to side you can simply use the holographic weapon sight alone with the very quick and clean A65 reticle for all close targets, and when you need to engage a mid-range target, simply flip over the G23magnifier which offers you three power magnification for any mid range target you might need to engage. The G23 magnifier and the holographic weapon sight are easily detached and reinstalled, the holographic weapon sight is simply push the lever lock swing out the lever,and it will reinstall to any Mil- Standard 1913 or pica tinny rail and returned to zero within one-inch. The MPO-III is not night vision compatible the MPO-II as seen here is night vision compatible. The feature of the quick release mount on the magnifier makes it very easy to quickly install your OPMOD PVS-14 with the optional D-lock mount. The OPMOD MPO-II and MPO-III systems are the latest collaboration between Optics Planet and EOTech, we're very proud of them and there's only one place to get them.
