i have no star wars people in my real life (except students but it’s february so i don’t want to talk to any of them at the moment about anything) so i just need to state, for myself i suppose, that i was so incredibly confused by what the book of boba fett was trying to do. i don’t know if it’s because PANDEMIC but i truly don’t see why it existed as a series except as a cash grab from disney.
would i rather watch it over rise of skywalker? absolutely. (i kind of enjoyed the stuff with luke and grogu but luke is a truly shit teacher. i guess that does set up what will happen with kylo ren. i also kind of liked the stuff with the tuskens but then they died off-camera so whomp whomp) but . . . wut? no consistency in mood or tone or story, weaving completely out of boba fett’s storyline for 2 episodes in a seven episode series, that whackjob final battle.
but the worse, most egregious part is that it featured steampunk biker teens. on tattooine. i. cannot. even if one of them is on yellowjackets. NO DICE.
#i won't tag this for the show because i'm evolved enough to not tag what i loathe#maybe i actually would prefer rise of skywalker?#because it features no steampunk biker teens#that rangkor as king kong moment also made me roll my eyes so hard
