September 1, 2013 6.66 miles Hell Brook Trail - Long Trail I was totally unprepared for this hike. Hell Brook Trail is one of the most difficult hikes in Vermont. I ascended a total of 3,000 feet with nothing to eat and only twelve ounces of water.
