"Yeah, well, that is what the shop is for. If I don't get good money from gigs, I can take extra shifts. I hope to reach a point where I don't have to work there anymore, as much as I love it," Al smiled, "I don't know about that. Depends on your definition of interesting. Everybody's life is interesting if they do what they love."

"It's good that it seems to be bringing in a steady flow though. That's a difficult task in itself for a lot of bands." Ezra encouraged warmly. "Hey, sounds to me like your life is a lot more interesting than most peoples."

"Yeah, I'm not really one for confrontation. It doesn't usually end well for me so I thought it was the best idea to just get myself out of there."

"I can't blame you," he replied when the other said he was quick to get out of there. "Honestly I think you made the right move. It wasn't worth sticking around for."

"I'm slightly offended you don't know the answer to that," Alastair replied, "No. I'm not allergic to anything," he continued, "Make whatever you like, surprise me."

"You're not allergic to anything are you? Because if you're not I can have them make a drink that I really really like and have you try and guess what's in it?" Asher suggested.

"Yeah, I'm not really a circus guy but I definitely don't remember monkeys in many I've seen or heard about," Alastair agreed, "I mean it's not a Karen if it's valid but I'm not sure they care about losing one person's business unfortunately."

"I also have no idea where the expression came from, I didn't realise circus' were so profound for having monkeys." James continued to complain, moving off topic but still thinking the subject matter was relevant. "If they did, they sure as hell didn't offer it to me. But it's whatever, means they won't have my business from here on out so I guess it's their loss. And yes, I realise I did sound a fair bit like a Karen saying all of that."

"You are so Uncle Tanner's kid," Al joked, remembering how similar he was to his own father from just knowing him and stories his own mother had told, "Are you going to back or to a different store?" he asked.

"There's only so much embarrassment I allow myself to have, and the whole walking in like 5 laps around the store was enough," he replied.

"You know," Alastair said, pointing in her general direction, "If you throw in a movie while I'm there, I am so in. Indoor picnic and a movie sounds great."

"But now I have far more than I anticipated so if you fancy a tea and biscuits date at mine you're more than welcome to join me. Otherwise I'm going to be that sad person who throws a blanket on the floor in their living room and shoves on a movie and pretends they are having a picnic on their own." Evelyn said with a laugh.

I am angry. I want to break things.

"To be honest, I'm a huge film buff so I like a few horror films but there are some even I can't stomach. I mean It?" Al shuddered, "I couldn't get that clown unburned from my behind my eyelids for days," he admitted, "I'm more of a thriller guy anyway."

"It just gave me the creeps, you know? Like in the way that I couldn't sleep for days afterwards," Rosa admitted, her shoulders tense at the thought. Her imagination was far too hyperactive for her to be able to digest those normally. "Yeah no, horror movies are just not my thing as much as sometimes the plots for them sound super interesting. How about you? Do you like them?"

"I am not kidding no," Alastair replied with a chuckle, "It totally was and nothing else happened now. I was quick to get out of there. It was enough crazy for one day," he admitted.

"No way– you're kidding me right now," Tucker burst into laughter at the other's humorous story. "Now that must've been crazy," he acknowledged through his amusement. "Was that all that happened?"

"With me? Well, I'm still getting gigs with my band but I can't quit my job at the shop just yet so it's pretty boring at the moment I guess."

"Anything else right now would be better. You could tell me how things are going for you, given you can clearly see how things have been progressing on my side." Ezra suggested with a little smirk.

"Happens to the best of us. By which I don't mean me, I lose things all the time," Al joked, "I don't lose valuable things though. Everyone is so protective of those."

"I would really hope so... although I suppose they could just turn it down and say they don't do that there," Elena shrugged. "Thanks, it's just how it is sometimes. I'm just frustrated with myself because it's not like me to lose things. Thankfully it wasn't anything too valuable."

"I imagine that's a rhetorical question but I don't have the answer either way," Alastair replied with a chuckle, "I suppose getting cake and biscuits is a big plus but vague dates suck."

"Why do I feel like that's the story of my life." Evelyn spoke in good humour when Alastair pointed out how much it sucked. "Well, I came away with half the shop in cakes and biscuits so I suppose there is a silver lining to every cloud. As for the employee, I keep getting given vague dates." She added with a shrug of her shoulders.

"At least they said they'd call. Let's hope they do," Alastair said, "It would be a shame to lose something like that."

"Yup. I was majorly bummed as you can imagine," Aryana sighed when her friend sympathized with her story. "Told me they'd call me if anyone came back in to report or return it. I've not got high hopes of getting it back now."

"You read my mind. Must be the twin thing," Al joked, picking up his jacket, "Let's go. I have been dying for an excuse to go back there."

"Thai sounds incredible," she nodded contently. "Should we go to that place we went to for our birthday last year? It was really nice and I personally haven't been there since."

Uh, I’m going to go see James. See if he needs my help tonight. Unless you object?  - No, just… be safe. Always.

"That's something at least. Sucks that they didn't find it though. Something so valuable doesn't go unnoticed when tidying up. I'm sure someone saw it."

"Just told me to leave my number and they'll let me know if anything shows up," Rosa sighed heavily. "Like I get it but... what if it never does? I wish I hadn't been so forgetful and left it there."
