god do you guys remember the fucking insane amount of shippy fanart ppl made for izaya and shizuo from durarara back in the day? its actually so funny because in canon they hated each other so much that theyd literally try and kill each other on sight, like, it was a whole meme that shizuo saw izaya from a distance and immediately threw a fucking fridge at him to end his lame life. but i think the most fucked up part about it is that the shippers were actually right, because in canon shinra was like “i think they just want to fuck each other” and celty was like “i dont wanna think about it. like, i agree, but i dont want to.” so i guess they were on the right side of history or something
