its time someone said it…the lizzy mcalpine-ification of music is an epidemic…its ok to have a few of these types of artists but the sheer number of phoebe bridgers/leith ross esque singer song writers i encounter in dimly lit bedrooms on tiktok on a daily basis is getting ridiculous its not that these girls are talentless but most of the music sounds so derivative of other stronger artists it just ends up giving nothing im begging anyone to just to do anything a little more crazy

its depressing how many public figures from the ‘60s have passed away recently not just bc they’re dead which is obviously sad but all things pass yk. but also because it was such a special time in history and we’re pretty much watching the last of it disappear in a relatively short period of time. like the memories and experiences of each of these individuals is so valuable and every time one passes a piece of that important decade is gone
