um. dark headcanons? dark headcanons

-dark can stay up all night and be perfectly fine—but after a week of doing so xe might be more irritable than the average day and destroy five towns rather than two

-they have long, untamed hair—very spiky and unbrushed. chosen only convinced them to sit down once so they could brush it—and afterwards dark immediately burst into flames and messed it up. cho tried!

-darks drive for destruction stems from his mission code—projecting kill the chosen one onto everything else instead of cho themself. but sometimes when cho is sleeping dark needs to restrain from almost killing them right there.

-dark DOES care for cho—she just doesn’t understand chosens way of relaxing/freedom. to her, absolute destruction and mass homicide is her bread and butter.

-after the showdown, dark went into a state of limbo—not quite dead but not fully alive.

I think victim and Dark would like each other. not exactly in a romantic way but I feel like Dark would support victim with his objective to destroy Alan, and victim would let Dark hang around because he's a god and he can be useful and also because he hates Alan too (unlike Chosen, who is being loyal to Alan and is being extremely disobedient to victim by not cooperating with him)... And Dark would like Chosen being "punished" because he betrayed him and also because of his code, which would be another excuse for him to stay. All fine and dandy until victim finds out Dark killed Mitsi, then he would probably put Dark in the box too.

alan is a ULTRAKILL fan because in the new video when TDL was killing everyone he exploded himself which is clearly a reference to one of sisyphus prime's attacks called "this will hurt"/joke

Sometimes I consider just confessing things to myself until I remember I'm supposed to reply to my own confession and I'm unsure how to do that without acting either insanely obvious or just blindly agreeing with my own opinion. Then I consider just confessing it in a normal text post. But then I feel exposed.

I actually loved the new short, I loved Dark in it, there’s plenty of good analysis posts already out there on this that words things better than I ever could. Dark lives for the thrill, the destruction, the excitement, this is what freedom is to him. He and Chosen are just inherently incompatible, but they try to be friends regardless of the signs, because they’re all they’ve got.

And Dark does care about Chosen, even if just a bit, just not enough to prioritize Chosen over his own goals in life, not like Chosen had expressed a different and incompatible goal until the Minecraft episode. Dark does take a moment to look at Chosen’s creation and only destroys it after Chosen gives in, and he looks back to him after flying away, he wants chosen to accompany him.

That is Darkks character, he is destructive, that was his purpose from the very beginning, and he cares about the stick that showed him freedom, but he’s ultimately incompatible with him.

Exactly!! Freedom is different for everybody, and I think that's an important point. It's why so many "free" characters are so different— because their sense of being free is different.

Free can be living out of the laws, or closely following them. Not everybody who lives out of them is purely evil, and not everybody who closely follows them is purely good. Good has evil, evil has good c:

i'm tweeking because of the new episode THE CHOSEN ONE MY BOYYYY HE'S SO CUTIE MY PATOOTIE I KNEW HE'S PEACEFUL AND JUST WANTS FREEDOM I LOVED WATCHING HIM BEING SILLY IN MINECRAFT

They play Minecraft kinda like how I do! I like that. I like being able to relate. I find such a thing joyful.

well. there's been a chosen and dark episode. i'll start this off saying that it wasn't bad. it was a fun little thing, and i enjoyed seeing chosen experiment with minecraft. my problem here is with dark. maybe i shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, but since these minisodes don't really have a main conflict or anything, i figured maybe some time could be taken to show dark's personality. said time was not taken. rather predictably, the slower chosen and dark episode was more just a chosen episode with dark there to be "the bad one." hell, dark could be removed from this episode and be replaced with minecraft mobs (ie a creeper blowing up chosen's cobblestone structure instead of dark) and little would change. dark just reads as flat and boring because they don't get any depth or character traits outside of bad and destructive. while this was just a short thing, it felt like they were leaning into "dark bad chosen good" too much.

reply to this if you want as it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on this, but no pressure ofc.

I think Dark did get a LITTLE bit of character— though, it is hard to convey that much in such little time. I havent had much time free to analyze this one myself, but right off the bat we do see them appear to *ask* Chosen to blow up their house? At least, that's how I saw it; however, it couldve ALSO been Dark waiting for Chosen to move so they could blow up the house. However you wanna interpret it.

Dark also looks back at Chosen while flying (before they get sent to the Nether), which I thought was meant to show they regret it? Just a little? Chosen was being peaceful, Dark may have been wondering what that was like.

But those're just my thoughts! Yours are just as valid, and everybody can interpret things differently c:

I hope this doesn't count as "hating for the sake of hating" because I don't WANT to hate but it's just gross.....

So, I'm a vicsec shipper(ooooh scandalous) but with my hcs, they're both adults and not related.

That being said, I've only met a handful of vicsec shippers who ship them legally. I've seen so much incest that I even broke down crying at one point cause there was this artist that I stumbled upon who drew tons of vicsec and then in one post they called the two brothers....

And I can't even have the "just because they like incest in fiction it doesn't mean they like it irl" mentality BECAUSE I HAVE A BROTHER! And I always get so frustrated that my favorite ship attracts not only such a bad reputation but also a lot of weird people!

In the end, y'all can post whatever you want, I'm only here to complain and cry about how uncomfortable all of the incest is :'')

Don't worry! Also, the only one we dont really like cause of FAMILIAL reasons is sec and chosen... Chodark depends on The Manner It Is Being Displayed In and the rest are really just based on personal preference and what happened in the show 💗 ill still post ur confession i js wont reply 😭
